    Yeah, that was weird... Why bother making life more difficult by doing the same thing in two different ways but make it look identical!? Yeah, that's what the garage said - they said that (if they did it anyway) you'd never know.

    I must admit that I remember someone else who had fitted them before had said they came up a bit short - can't remember who though. I'll see how they look. No, you're right it's not on the same circuit... I was poring through the Haynes circuit diagrams, and the honda workshop manual, and there's no links between the systems.... Must be a dodgy connection somewhere.

    Had a call from the garage today, they were fitting the mg skirts and said that they were too short. They sent me a couple of pics. After seeing the pics I told them to carry on - I'll see what they look like in the flesh (at some point.........), but thinking that they might be okay. They said that they could extend them if I got the ends off another set. Weird thing, when I was there over Christmas swapping the dash back in, when I pushed the fog light button in it made the horn sound. I thought that maybe they'd done something screwy when they swapped my horn in, but when they had a look today, they said that it only happened if you try to turn the rear fogs on without the fronts on first, and that the rear fog light indicator wouldn't come on unless the fronts were already on. Anyone came across this before? He said it seemed like it was like that on purpose, but tubs never did that. It's another one that I need to try and figure out

    Best thing that I ever did was the gearbox mod, with the teg type r final drive and longer integra ls 5th gear. No photos handy, but they're not that exciting anyway

    Update to this as well is that they now automatically show the proper honda part numbers as well as their own, so you don't need to do the _pfk trick anymore

    Quite happy that I managed to get a hold of an unused replacement gear knob: I really liked the one I had in tubs, but the leather was goosed. Found this one the same on ebay still in its box (been in there a while by the look of it)

    I've seen some replacement stickers (for a Ford) on ebay, which should work with a bit of butchering. Would be nice to stick with honda style though. Can't beat a bit of tinkering on a Sunday though ey?

    I've got one, and lots of other members have had them over the years. It's supposed to be one of the only options for b series that doesn't result in losing power, and is an improvement over the standard vti one which is the same for all models of m civics (at least the petrol ones).

    Cheers @Dave - that's a shame, but not a surprise I suppose! The back up plan was to try swapping the wiring like you say, but it just depends on whether the circuit boards are different (probably are). Just spending time thinking about what I can do when I get the car back

    Yeah, I was looking at pictures of the heated seat switches on ebay and thought that the body of the switch looked very similar in size, and then noticed that it looked like the front might come off. Even better that the whole thing comes to bits. Need to double check against the actual rear screen and hazard switch though. I'm planning on making a mini binnacle type thing to sit below the vents, so that should help with the heat.. Not that my heaters get that hot anyway

    I had a good look around coz I'm sure that I've got a spare hazard switch somewhere, but only found an ac one in the shed and a dash dimmer in the garage... Must be in a box in the loft. The AC one has come to bits quite nicely, so I'm hoping that I can swap the gubbins around.

    I'm going to be doing a tablet install to run android auto connected to my phone. I used to have a phone holder where the clock was, but it always bugged me a bit that it got in the way of the buttons, and as my phone got bigger and bigger, it got worse. It's an old 7" tablet, and it's more phone shaped than Ipad shaped (longer instead of squarer), so I'm thinking of shifting the buttons down, and making a bit of a cowl to go over it to avoid glare. It's a good spot for using the satnav at a glance.

    I've not had a screw on my rotor arm for years. When I got the reconditioned dizzy, it didn't have one - the arm was kind of bonded on... I even had to get in touch with their tech support to double check. They said it should just pop off... But ended up having to destroy it to get it off. Every new arm I've had since has had the hole for the screw but no screw. Always been fine though (touch wood). That kit looks pretty good - will be interesting to see how it turns out.

    Roger that. I'm planning on moving the rear screen button and maybe the hazard switch down there. Might try butchering the old switches (I'm sure I've got some spare spares somewhere).

    Cheers Dave.. Thought that they were. Out of interest, is there wiring / connectors there? Not planning on heated seats, just toying with re - jigging the dash a bit.
