  1. Funny you should say that, as I was thinking about the one you had on the accord - was it the rhino lip? I was looking at b18 ubr, but that's about £400.. Think that I'm going to see how I feel about it first. Hopefully before Christmas... Should be getting an mot in the next few days, maybe after the skirts are painted and on.
  2. No, I don't think so - they look like they've been tagged on. Dropped them off at lunchtime yesterday and did a quick test fit - going to leave the black bits off for now. They're not in the best shape or best fit.
  3. Properly clean! Good works there chief
  4. I've never seen it before - at least not in its current form.... There's a tint on the headlights which looks like a film similar to a product called fly eyes... If so that's probably what's on the rear lights as well. Depending on the type of film, I believe they are legal so long as they don't impair the amount of light omitted - the fly eyes film has lots of small holes to let the light out. Either way, if its film then it should come off relatively easily (might need a good clean up afterwards). As for mileage - I wouldn't be worried about it.... So long as the shell is sound. My engine's on over 215k, and it's still strong. In fact it's outlasted the chassis and has been transferred into a new shell!
  5. Last piece of the puzzle arrived today. MGZS skirts - think they'll have to go body coloured. They've got some odd little extensions on that I've never seen / noticed before. Think they'll go back to black.
  6. I hope you manage to find one chief.. It's a tough thing with these low emissions zones. They were looking to bring one into Newcastle where I work. I cycle to work (when I used to go to the office that is) so from that point of view would be nice to not be inhaling early morning diesel fumes on a cold day when the mixture is rich, but from the point of view of driving, wasn't looking forward to paying £12.50 every time I took the car into Town. It sucks more finding yourself living in one. Do you have an M now?
  7. The wife sent me a couple of old pics yesterday... Couple of years old, but was a good reminder of why I'm doing this. Top one is Oct 17, other is Feb 17.
  8. Might end up going down the private reg route tbh.. That'll be a bit down the list though. Skirts and mot is all that's left now. Now that I've got the reg issue sorted, I know which one is getting mot'd and can get her road legal. I want to get the old shell home before the Christmas break so I can do a bit of tinkering prep. The new skirts are that MG blue colour, so will need a painting.. Not sure to go body colour or just black. They looked like the shaped ones, so pb might be better.
  9. So, the way I understand it is that most civic M's were only made up to 1999 - I've just double checked on lings https://www.lingshondaparts.com/partscatalog/catalog/select/catalog/hondacars/method/model/ And it looks like the only aerodeck made in 2000 was mc3 (diesel) and for the hatch it was the mb7 (also diesel I think?), so any late regs must have been registered later than manufacture - my deck was a 99 reg, but was a 98 model.
  10. So heard back from the DVLA this week - it's a no go on the reg swap, so the old reg will be no more. Oh well, it's a shame, but not a surprise. I've also took the plunge and ordered some MG skirts (hope they fit okay). I'm off down to the garage tomorrow coz I'm off work - see if I can get anything sorted before the Christmas break.
  11. Cheers @dan1 - I've got an earthing kit added which goes all over the place... Hopefully it's found its way into the new chassis..
  12. Looking tip top buddy Sounds interesting about the harness for the lights - mine have always randomly dimmed when the load changed like a fan kicking in.
  13. Very nice. Looks like a super tidy engine bay!
  14. And if you did want to swap for a different wheel, ek9 is the same fitment as the ep3 (as Jake notes above), so you'd need to go for dc2 / eg fitment. Accord type r is same as ek/ep3 as well.

    HKB Boss kit

How that you get sorted in the end. We never have it easy with parts for these cars

    HKB Boss kit

It is weird - I'd always thought that eg / dc2 splines were the same no matter what, with ek / atr etc being different to that.

    HKB Boss kit

Found this that sounds like it might help. "Please note before purchasing: The Honda boss kits fit one of two spline diameters, this size varies car to car regardless of year so you will need to confirm your application before ordering. OH-136, OH-215 and OH-215L HKB boss kits fit a 15mm diameter spline. OH-196, OH-206, OH-207 and OH-281 kits fit a 16mm diameter spline. 18. Glad that you got her all sorted out and mot'd. I bet that's a weight off your mind!
  19. Mate. Hope that you were okay after the bash! Shame that the prelude got written off though - worries me how easy it is for cars to be cast aside by the insurance companies. The new goodies for the civic should be good
