honda civic aerodeck Project "TheRedAerodeck"
dr_broon replied to TheRedAerodeck's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Hello mate, nice to see you and your new deck - don't see many red ones anymore (don't see many any ones anymore....). Like what you've done so far - those headlights look like a really tidy job!- 19 replies

Might not be able to keep the TUBR reg. Looks like the rules have been changed to a points based system, with mandatory points related to either using the original or brand new chassis. Will submit the application anyway.

That's one of the last bits. Panels are in getting painted, and ball joints... Hopefully the screens have been swapped by now as well.

Yeah, that's what the garage said. Apparently the guy didn't really notice with the first one, but the second one went straight in and they said there was a bit of play and were worried they could come out, especially without the clip that the Tegiwa ones had. Thing is, after tubs eating ball joints for fun, I'm sure that the the last ones that went in were moog and they lasted ages.

Update on the ball joint saga... The new moog ones are a few mm too small apparently and don't fit snuggly in the hole. Some blue print ones on the way so hopefully they will be okay.

Bumper looks tip top. Lines are nice and clean. Nice big sections of rubber on those tyres

Those wheels look spot on

Good work sir.

The clock kept getting out of sync with the rds clock on my radio and the OCD couldn't cope
-
Can't really add much, as it's been so long since I drove mine, but I've only had a flat battery a couple of times and I think it's always been when the battery's been on the way out. I've also got the Hamilton and palmer alarm (need to swap that over to tubs 2.0...), but have not had the clock fitted for a long long time... About 10 years in fact.

Wowzers! I bet that off got the adrenaline pumping! I do like a white M.

Good use of the 4x4s

That's a whole lotta M's there bud! Good to see you percevering. Welcome back mate

That's impressive! I never knew that had happened with the touring cars. Would have been ace to see civic M's dueling on the track. Just spotted eibach springs on the spec sheet

I know what you mean, at first I was thinking it looked a bit like a stretched scirocco, but the more I see it the less odd it looks. If the roofline went a wee bit further back it would look better.

Oh, don't know. Think it's just an estate version of the taycan. Actually, just read that it's based on the VAG " Premium Performance Electric platform" so will be shared with some I guess
