Crikey. I bet that's giving you some grief! Have you been referred to a physio at all?
-
Aye, probably made the right call canceling. Still sucks though.
-
Ah man. That sucks! Hope the foot gets better soon.
-
Looks spot on mate. Love how shiny all those suspension parts are looking.
-
More to come on this, but civic5 has came up trumps and thrown me and tubs a lifeline.

Wow, that'll make a vast difference. Great work as always
-
Yeah, I think that the choices and prices will get better as they scale up. Even with one you'd have enough power for pootelling around town. The change from electric silence to roaring vtec would be amusing
-
Just realised that you said extended studs Must learn to read / not post before coffee
-
Bet you're glad to get those knuckles back. The extended ball joints make a nice difference. Really noticed the change when I went back to standard ones.
-
Yeah, might be worth getting back on Facebook for. Cheers Jake, would appreciate that. I don't think her sitting around for so long has done her any favours.

It's a blessing that it failed the mot. To be honest. I'm going to sleep on it, and to be honest if there was a good shell to be had I might be tempted to go for that, but the worry is that they'll all be starting to go.

Dunno, not many on ebay being broken, and I'm wary of going down that route. Only one deck autotrader, and one on ebay, but doesn't feel right killing another to keep mine if you know what I mean. If there was a Pb one with a blown engine or something then it would be an easier decision.

Think I'm too far in to turn back now.. Means my painting plans are going to have to be scaled right back though. Might ask depend on what bits I can still buy and what they can fabricate. Things like the cross member, if I can get one that the suspension etc still fits to, but needs a bit of butchering to fit to the car, then that might be what has to happen.

Not a good advert for the work of the place. You can't just paint over rust or weld new to rusty.

The old girl is not in a happy state. Work that the last place did needs redoing, and much more. I'm waiting to find out a list of unicorn parts that I need to find. One thing that it needs is the rear cross member, which is discontinued. I'm wondering whether a dc2 / eg one would do the job because of braces etc fitting. @KiNK43 would you know from your eg days?

Seats look nice mate

Had a call from the new garage who've basically condemned what was done before, and said it needs thousands spending and that they don't think it's worth it. Going down to take a look.

Hi mate, welcome along. There's some definite handling improvements to be had, but I think that the choices are pretty limited now. A popular upgrade used to be mgzs shocks and springs, but they're probably quite thin on the ground now as decent second hand options. I've got eibach springs and koni shocks on my aerodeck, and you can still buy the springs (I did a couple of months ago as two of mine had snapped from the car being stood to long), but I haven't been able to find the shocks anymore, so koni may not make them anymore. Koni used to do a sport kit with springs and shocks. For mapping, you'll need to swap the ecu as the standard one is not able to be chipped.

Good news mate - pleased that she's up and running
-
Was just reading this on top gear. Think that this sort of product is going to be more common. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/what-would-you-do-107bhp-crate-electric-motor I bet ecu modification suddenly becomes more complicated though... Especially if you want a motor for each rear wheel
-
That should be good mate. I love Donnington - saw the moto GP there a couple of times. Would be my first choice for a track day. She's Definitely got her mouth wide open with that new bumper on... That should get plenty of air in. Will you be putting any kind of lip on?
-
Actually quite excited now. These guys sound like they know their stuff, and are keen to get it turned around... Might get it back on the road soon

Back of the net. Found somewhere that can get it done now... Look like a good fit. https://www.classicandretroautos.co.uk/home.html Don't know how I haven't seen them before, they're only about 10 miles away. They can get it picked up fairly soon Hope that this works out okay.
