  1. Looks like that was great fun Bet you were relieved that the bail didn't do any harm! Looks like there was some good three wheel action in that corner before the straight.
  2. So looking to replace the drop links for the MGZS ARB on the Deck, and went to Rimmerbros as you do. They're out of stock, but using the part number on ebay brings up drop links that are also compatible with EGs. Are they the same? I always remember folk saying that the MG ones had a better design than the honda ones. MG Honda EBay
  3. Some pics from today's visit. All cleaned up and primed. A few spots of welding to do, but nothing serious. Going to go for a more original style underseal, instead of the raptor seal as that seems to be quite a rough bumpy finish. Been sorting out which bits need powder coating, and what needs swapping off the old shell. Also took some tegiwa rigid subframe collars down, and found out that I need Couple of engine mounts as the ones on tubs were shot.
  4. Underside stripped and ready for steam cleaning, any wire wheeling and rust inhibiting to be done.
  5. This one just popped up in my saved civic jumble sale search search https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224107526840
  6. It's this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264764651385
  7. Just checked the trusty Haynes manual, and the buzzer and the circuit is part of the 'integrated control unit' that also deals with wash / wipe, and low /high beam functions. From the diagram it looks like the input comes from the driver door interior light switch. If the interior light comes on when you open the driver door, then it's either a problem with the wiring or the control unit.
  8. Cheers man. No, not for getting it finished. Think it'll be a bit of a slow burner, but they're going to get cracking this week at the first stage of getting the underside all sorted. I've got skunk lcas, an h brace, beaks bar, and adjustable camber arms for the rear that I never got around to getting on tubs as well, so I'm hoping that the handling is going to be sweet. Thinking about getting the koni shocks refurbed while they're off as well. Had new eibach springs for the mot that never was a few months ago.
  9. It noticeably lowered the front, and made the front end feel much sharper. Felt less able to point it into a corner when they came off.
  10. Shed load of poly bushes ordered from power flex tonight, and some extended ball joints from tegiwa. It was a real disappointment when I went back to normal ones after the mfactory ones died, so looking forward to getting them again.
  11. It's a massive place! They had more gems out the back where tubs was hiding, including a mint condition 80s GMC van.
  12. Just been down for an initial chat. They're going to start stripping the underside, clean up any bits that need it, and coat it with raptor underseal, and squack in waxoil into the crevices. Going to get all the suspension arms etc powder coated as well. Getting started this week. Took some pics of cars they've got in at various stages.
  13. Engine plans sound like a good idea bud. She is well blocked in isn't she.
  14. I'm going to go down to see the car restoration place this week and come up with a plan, but yes, the plan is to protect as much as possible.
  15. Cheers Jake. Thanks again for the tip off, and thanks to @Grant for taking such good care of the car. I'll make sure that she lives on for a long time bud
  16. Bit of an update, had a road trip this weekend and am now the owner of a mint (really mint) rolling shell to help save poor old tubs. Quick quiz for @Dave to see if he spots the number plate...
  17. Can't remember if it's been done this year, but this is my choice this month with its new heart beating strong
  18. It's always changing is this one Engine bay is looking pretty funky
