  1. You're getting like you were with wheel colour changes I like the yellow it is now, but I do quite like that blue colour.
  2. @Dave has the auto on his deck I think?
  3. Every week that goes by makes my wallet cringe Will be worth it though. Just need to persuade the insurance valuation folk...
  4. I sure won't be, thanks bud - plenty of cash splashing going on to not need any more added to the list
  5. Wonder if it's an issue where over time the torque needed to engage the LSD increases? Actually, just seen this on Torsen's website.. "When input torque is applied to a helical gear, it creates a series of thrust forces that push that gearing into the differential casing. When these forces push against the wall of the casing, that contact creates friction. As the torque load increases, so do the forces, and so friction increases in proportion to the amount of torque applied." If it relies on generating friction, then friction must = wear at some point I guess.
  6. Cheers buddy.. That makes me feel a lot better. I never had a reason to doubt the performance of the LSD before, and sure as hell have made use of it plenty of times.
  7. Thinking back to a few years ago in the old car park at work, it did used to make a bit of a groaning noise going round the up ramps at full(ish) lock...
  8. It must be a thing, because it's in the service manual.... I was going to go and check at the garage yesterday, but it wasn't open when I got there. There's no honda ones available any more (surprise surprise) so it'll have to be mfactory or quaiffe. More dollar.
  9. Yeah, was properly clutching at straws Since posting I've seen how they work with different gears meshing in at different torque levels, so you're right. I don't see how it could have failed without something serious going pop? Yeah it's the standard lsd. Unless someone's whipped it out at some point lol
  10. It is confusing. The 5 door hatches are (generally) mb, and aerodecks are Mc. More details here though https://civic5.com/forum/main-pages/civic-5-door-and-aerodeck-chassis-codes/ Oh, and...
  11. Hi Nat. Meister r coilovers have been used plenty of times by folk on here. I think that k&w, and h&r both do coilovers for Decks as well.
  12. So the garage phoned today asking about gearbox oil. They thought I'd said that I needed lsd oil (I didn't), and said that they'd phoned honda to check, and honda said that only the integra had an lsd I said that it definitely has lsd as standard and that I normally use honda MTF. They said that they'd tried turning the wheel, and the other wheel didn't spin. So, the manual says that this means the lsd is dead. I haven't seen much online about honda lsds dying though, so my wondering (straw grasping) is whether the lack of oil in the box would stop the lsd working, and will it work once all topped up and oily?
  13. The yellow highlights stand out more now. Like it.
  14. Good read there.. Nice mx5, and like what you've done.
  15. Cool. Finally managed to get a reply from goodridge today. The ones listed for the deck are the same as the ej/ek ones but the mb6 ones are different. When I pointed that out they replied asking for the lengths so they could double check.

    Cup Holders

Yes, have to do some funky arm bend action to use the ones in the centre console. Like the look of the wrapped trim.
  17. Big step forwards today... Engine in Got some metal polishing to do on the rocker cover and the exhaust mani when I get my grubby paws on it.
  18. Which lines did you order? can't see any listed for the M.
  19. Cheers man. maybe in the next week or so it'll be ready, but I need to sort stuff out with the DVLA. Would anyone happen to know whether the bolt that connects the lca to the cross member is the same on any other honda like a dc2? Need a new one and typically can't get one
