  1. Cheers for the comments lads. Done a fair bit of work on her today. My Dad done most of the work and he's done a fantastic job! I am over the moon with the results. Hopefully this week it goes in for a respray. Not a full respray but it sure does need one though! Just needs a bit more filling here and there
  2. You can use any 1.4 block as they are all pretty much identical. The only time you have to watch what block you use is when you go vtec
  3. You... going to have straight all way through? Belongs you keep the back-box on you'll be alright. Speaking from experience
  4. Like I said, it's nothing serious. When I read my comment it sounds worst than it is Just nipped to Halfords and picked up: P28 scratch and dent repair filler Oxide primer Red primer Grey primer Grit P1200, P800, P400 and P200 sand paper I actually cannot wait to start doing some body repairing work! After that, I am taking the Aerodeck into the body shop. It's not going to be perfect but obviuosly be better than it is now. I just hope no one hits my car
  5. What a pi$$take! Why the hell didn't the tester noted the other failures on the 2nd mot test in the first place? Sounds like either a bad mot tester or a differtent mot tester on the 2nd mot!
  6. I'm ok, it's nothing serious anyway It feels like I got a jinx car but really it's just me not having much luck. It can happen to any car so even if I go out and buy another car, the same thing can happen! I might be buying a TDi Golf Estate cheap so I can take the Aerodeck off the road and do some major work on her (engine wise) but not sure yet, might have to wait longer. So I'm not giving up on the poor girl and my Dad is going to help me repair the doors, wings and panels today (Pics will follow) Here's some pictures of the damage. Nothing major really...
  7. Car is not taking shape no more. I had an accident on the way into work this morning. A Transit van drove into the side of me and just caught the wing and both doors. It was my fault too as I didn't cancel the left signal. Obviouly the bloke thought I was turning left so he pulled out in front me. The damage isn't too bad, just more scuffs and dents and damaged wheel. The Aerodeck is still drivable... Luckily the van driver isn't going to claim off my insurance. I could claim but then I will loose my no claims. Just isn't worth it to be honest. I'm having no luck with this car, currently saving for another car now as I just had enough. Everytime I try to fix her, something bad happens. My state of mind with car now is not good. Feels like the car doesn't like me I will upload pics later on after work
  8. Right so, I decided to grow a pair and start doing some work to the body. I stripped out the boot (side panels, boot liner, trims, rear seats) Feels like a racecar Reason for this is to fit the rear seat catches properly this time (this involves modifying the plastic trims) push the dent out in the rear panel and to install new speaker wires for a sub install And then I pushed the dent out of the front wing too. Both dents will still need filling which I hope to start this week. When I'm working on the Deck,I feel really attached to it now The dents finally pushed out. Looks much better but still need some work... Also managed to get rid of the nasty scuff on the front bumper by spraying a small amount of matte black paint and rubbing it in And then gave her a good polish. It haven't had one since I clayed her Grill also de-chromed. I didn't bother using mesh I am really chuffed how well she's coming along now. Also had some help from my oleman. It was Dad who told me to get my a$$ in gear to start some work to the car
  9. I think you and the VTi-S need a small break
  10. I found the steering wheel on a EG in the scrappy. I only paid a fiver for it I seen one on ebay went for 80 quid!
  11. I really like your taste in wheels They look perfect on the Deck and sits nice too, kind of what I'm looking for! I got to get 16's for mine now after seeing this
  12. Good write up
  13. I hope you didn't pay nearly a 100 quid for them! I'm watching the exact same set (from bulgaria) for only £12!
  14. Had to remove those stuff off the watch list... I finally get a good wage but only to find out I have to spend out more when I earn more! Cannot win! So it's all back to the usual and not getting anywhere with money. F**kin sucks! But I got a couple stickers coming through the post And a awesome shot of my Deck and my mates MB6
  15. Excellent work Jake! The new box still all well so far? I never worked on a B-series before. It seems everything on the D-series are a doddle to work on!
  16. ^^^ Well said @burbleboy . Funny thing is I am still having the same problem with the rear brakes on my Aerodeck! One of the brakes work but the hand-brake doesn't work, and the other brake doesn't work but the hand-brake works...
  17. There are some nice coastal roads in Cornwall. I absolutely love it in my old MB3 in the summer. Not quite the same in the Aerodeck! The silencer looks bling!
