Roj's Mean Green No Fire Trucks Given Machineâ„¢ (Rust In Pieces)

They look well nice! Swap them for my TSW Hockenheim's? -
If you leave anyone standing first, you're the winner. No comebacks... Well I managed to fit the speakers after breaking a couple drill bits, working in the dark and freezing my a$$ off! But apart from that it was pretty easy! After tuning to default settings I decided to blast out some Pendulum and... WOW! What an improvement! Its got nice mid-range punchy bass and very crystal clear notes. Should sound better once the speakers have bedded-in! Thanks to KiNK43 and Mr.Brown, I wouldn't have done it today without their help!

I got the adapters! They are made for Corsa and Zafira but I think they're all the same. So I will get onto that now... I had a little race with a Peugeot 206 on the way to Halfords. He went flying past me on the duel carriageway, I soon caught him up, I then had him just coming off the roundabout onto another dual carriageway. Then when I looked at the speedo I was doing 128mph I can see the Pug was getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror But then the Pug overtook me on a bend just coming off the slip road which was a bit extreme considering I was doing 60mph. At that point, he left me standing

I will go Halfords now because I seen Vauxhall adapters there the other day! Thanks for your help Mr.B & KiNK! I will get back to you soon!

Aha! Brilliant! What MK Astra has it got to be? Unless they're all the same?

I loved the original door speakers in my MB3. It has nice punchy bass but they're getting a bit tired now being 17 years old!
-
Well the 6.5" speakers won't fit in the original adapters / baskets in the door. I had a look for aftermarket adapters online but there isn't any for our M's. So I might have to make wooden adapters to make the speakers fit. It seems a lot of hassle just to fit speakers though.. haha

I am really desperate to fit them! But I don't know how? I looked it up on here but I cannot find anything..
-
Thanks, its got a bit more rasp to it now Next is a custom made center exhaust to fit a cat for MOT time
-
Thanks, I like the look of the Vibe Slicks and I was tempted to buy them but I don't think they worth 45 quid. You can get a nice set of Alpines for that price!

Yesterday I went to fit a set of top of the range Hertz component speakers but unfortunately one speaker rattles. Sounds like the driver or coil has had it I should know better as I never buy used electronics! So I bought a set of brand new Fli Underground 6.5" Coaxial speakers for 15 quid in the sale from Trago, another BARGAIN! Not the best speakers but they will do for now. I went to fit them and guess what, they don't fit the adapters I'm going to try and work out how to fit them...

Looking good but they're not going to stay that colour, unless you pressure wash your car weekly

I think it takes these bulbs. I got a set of indicator bulbs for mine to de-tango http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-581-AMBER-ORANGE-INDICATOR-CAR-BULBS-OFF-SET-PINS-12V-21W-BAU15S-E-MARKED-/221223281977?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3381ef6539 The front end is going to transform!!

I am really liking the interior trim, that silver brightens everything up! And top job on fixing the exhaust
-
Sounds like a good motor at a good price = WIN! Glad to see you're cuffed with the Deck!
-
How did you take the cat off the manifold? I had to replace the whole manifold because the cat won't come off! The original heat-shield didn't fit the d16z6 manifold so I had no choice but to leave if off. The manifold would look good if resprayed with black high heat paint
-
All sounds good! Oh, so you defiantly got a vti lip coming now? And, was the cat bolted onto the manifold like mine?
-
That looks cool!
-
Ah those don't sound too bad... Heavy clutch? I wonder if you got a stage 2 or 3 performance clutch?
-
Nicely done! Bit of luxury in your car Is it just the belt and AC tension to do now?
-
I quite like the sound of that! I was thinking of doing a mini-me swap too, a d16z6 or d16y8 head but I like the economy. Gearbox is already sorted as you know... If I wanted a faster car, I will get a MC2 or a early 90's Accord Aerodeck as a 2nd car

Wow you really do have a heart for your MB3. I am the same with my car I was going to stick a B-series in once it hits around 150'000 miles but I love these D15 engines too much! And obviously it won't be the same car if I did do an engine conversion. So I might do the same, just rebuild the original engine for the original car when the time comes
