That's a pretty harsh brush you're tarnishing with dude. It's down to the traders what they charge to start with. But I suspect in any circumstance you'll always find a product cheaper elsewhere. It's nice we have traders offering us discount at all but you don't have to use them. Could always tell @Dave to not bother asking traders to be a part of the forum...

I would say the sump is the likely suspect, the damage could be restricting the flow or something and making the ECU think there's not enough oil or pressure for the VTEC solenoid be engage? I'm just guessing though.

Mine didn't! That month had seen new wheels, Meisters, full leather interior, black door cards, ITR steering wheel, EK9 gear knob with leather gaitor and the EG stalks. Lost to someone who hadn't done anything to their car or at least very little... Sounds reasonable! You'll have fun playing with them, I spent quite a while finding my happy medium!

Is that fly-eye on the tail lights? What noise is the gearbox making? When does it do it?

Mine were set to their lowest out of the box and then couldn't get the car off the ramp nor move it after If you set it so there's about 60-65mm of thread between the bottom lock ring and the lower top one that should be a nice height, then you you adjust from there if you want it lower but at that height you shouldn't have any problems.
