    When I had my headlining out the whole area was wet, condensation rather than looking like a leak. But I suppose if you hit it with sealant and see if it stops getting damp, process of elimination.

    Oh dear, might be related to your iffy brake pedal you mentioned. Probably an idea to check it out to be on the safe side.
