You try both directions just in case? Sometimes with an awkward nut/bolt it can help to tighten a bit and then it'll come loose!

Cam cover looks awesome! That looks alright inside there, don't forget oil will drain away when the engines not running. Hopefully the oil you cleaned is as you say, just residual from the recent work.

I think there's a few Rover 400/45's that had them, MG ZS120 and of course our VTi's, all would be thinner than the ZS180 ARB! I think the MB one is ~18mm vs ~22mm or similar!

Should look good! Depends on your bacon, they can be very picky, though with my sensible head on I think pretty much any aftermarket tint on the fronts will tip them over the limit for tint allowed as most have a slight tint from factory.
