  1. Yeah I've now got a 8th gen accord type s tourer 2.2 diesel. Good all rounder I like the looks, handles really well considering the size just lacks the grunt and I've been having dpf issues already but they are known for that being a issue. It will be getting mapped at the end of the month so hopefully this will cure the issue. Yeah I would regret it, I'd like to make a few more changes and maybe just use it as abit of a track car. Time will tell, I wont rush into anything.

    D16 swap

I've heard good things about LF honda but I'm sure he's got loads on and gets loads of messages regarding swaps and boosting cars. I can kinda talk from my own experience in the sense that I've boosted my own car. Its alot of doing it yourself for the first time, would I do it again? I really dont know. You do save alot but it's time and then working any potential issues out ect.. I'm getting old and messing with cars is starting to be less enjoyable for me now.
  3. Well since buying a house the aerodeck been off the road. I cant afford to use it daily plus the paddle clutch wasnt nice in traffic. I've been toying with the idea of selling or maybe breaking the car but I know I'd regret it. But out of interest what would value the car at? Please see my build thread on here. The only changes to the car are I've removed the dc2 recaros to sell and the black front lower splitter has been removed. Much appreciated.
  4. if its a vti it will be 4x114.3 hubs. i never had any issues or noises from mine. they dont look the prettiest but could be cleaned up if you put abit of time into them. If you're local to Manchester and want to come have a look we can arrange something
  5. If your current set up is 4x114.3 I dont think you can use anything else unless you swap out the whole lot for a 4x100 set up. I've got some spare 4x114.3 hubs knocking about from my blue deck.
  6. that's why I sorned mine, I'm skint after getting the accord and with recently getting the house and Christmas fast approaching you can see why haha. but by sorning it im saving around £90 a month not including the fuel I was putting in the car.
  7. its a lovely drive, theres not many of the type s models about for sale though. but i'd hold out because the spec is great. The only gripe i've got is that the bluetooth system is s**te. its a pain to connect your phone, you can't stream any music. im going to give it a full service in the new year and maybe look at getting a remap once the warranty has expired.
  8. I think skunk2 have sent me a replacement, but im tempted to get the 70mm billet tb that tegiwa sell. they seem to have good reviews. I can just see the replacement s2 one sticking again in no time.
  9. once ive got the new throttle on ill swap the idle control valve over just in case its that. then if it still does it maybe some petrol and a match? haha. picking a 2011 honda accord type s tourer on saturday, 2.2 diesel
  10. Ive got the S2 68mm pro series and the throttle is sticking like mad. Im also having issues with my idle and cold starting the car, I've done a thread on here about it. I'm not sure if the issues im having will be because of the throttle body or not, surely they can't be helping. I've been in touch with S2 and it's looking like they will be sending me a replacement.
  11. what throttle body are you using Adam? thinking of changing mine due to the issues I'm having with it.
  12. well it fired up this morning and just about kept its idle. it seemed to struggle abit for around 30 seconds. but the idle is to high it started around 1k from cold and once it was warm it was around 1.5k. i suppose for now i will leave it untill ive got the replacement throttle body. I'm also picking up a new daily this weekend, I loved the diesel civic i had, my dad has had that from me hence me getting this replacement.
  13. I'm pretty sure I got rid of the old throttle! But I've spoken to skunk2 and fingers crossed I should be getting a replacement
  14. tried what you said. I unplugged the sensor, slackened off the throttle cable and started from scratch. Once I'd finished it did fire up and keep running so i thought I'd solved it. Untill this morning. i had to hold the throttle open again. But it is alot better than it has been, i'd also sorted the vac leak that seemed to be coming from my boost guage sensor. I've adjusted the idle again so we will see in the morning if that's cracked it.
  15. It wouldn't be too bad using it all the time if the thing would run right! I did try and and swap the seats over but I need some brackets making up. I love the look of the dc2 seats but for every day I hate them
  16. every time I've adjusted the idle I've left it plugged in, would that be the wrong way to set the idle then? With the tps thats calibrated and tight, I'm between 0.4v & 0.5v closed throttle and 4.5v wide open throttle.
  17. Yeah, I've got to hold the throttle open slightly. once its been running for a few minutes I can slowly release my foot from the accelerator and it'll idle.
  18. ive got a hondata s300 ecu, after market map sensor and injectors all of witch i bought new and they've not had many miles on them. this weekend ill be checking the spark plus/spark and removing the inlet and checking all the fittings on the back of it.
  19. That's something I've not checked to he honest. But the plugs and leads are not old and the cap and rotor are the same I bought new genuine honda bits to swap them. I did remove the cap and clean the points up.
  20. Yeah I can tell. Bet you're glad you kept hold of it. I don't think I could ever sell mine. I'd end up breaking it if anything.
  21. Was this up for sale earlier this year? What a beast, I'd live to build my spare engine and go for more power.
  22. HiI've been looking all over the internet to find out possible causes/solutions to this issue I'm currently having with my vti aerodeck. Its got the factory B18c4 engine that I've put a turbo on. Nothing internally has been changed. Just bigger 'grams 750cc' injectors, skunk2 Pro series inlet and throttle, exhaust and hondata s300.I'm also having problems with my skunk2 throttle body sticking but I don't believe this to be causing the other problem. So what I've tried so far:Removed and cleaned the throttleset up the TPS sensorremoved and cleaned the Idle control valvechecked and cleaned my earthsremoved the main relay, this has no signs of any issues and my fuel pump primes with the ignition on.I've re uploaded the map from my tuneradjusted my idle and throttle cableI'm yet to change my ignition switch, as soon as that turns up that will be changed and I will update. The finial thing I checked was my vacuum hoses, I did this by spraying carb cleaner around various spots around the vacuum hoses/inlet to see if the engine note changed. This did around the back of my inlet, around the various vacuum fittings that come on the back of the skunk2 inlet. I've got a AEM sensor in the back for my boost gauge. I'm hoping something has worked loose and is drawing in excessive air. But I'm not holding out much luck.Has anyone had similar problems and if so what cured the problem for yourself?Thank's,Dan.
