  1. I think 5-6 bhp is quite a lot for a single mod! But i have already bought a sports cat, so maybe i'll get the de-cat too just in case to try out some day. Can't be too expensive i reckon. The mani is a Tegiwa 4-2-1 with a 2,5" collector (Toda-copy): http://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa-4-2-1-exhaust-manifold-header-honda-b-series-426/ Even if the power gains won't be as big as promised, it's still a lot lighter. And looks a lot better!
  2. Sports cat. I'll have to ask how much they'll charge for a de-cat as well. How much difference do you think it'll make, powerwise?
  3. and a new cat... and a custom 2,25" stainless pipe... and a magnaflow backbox. I've spent the last week e-mailing a couple of companies and have finally settled on one (the most expensive ) to build the exhaust and install the beforementioned combo. This will hopefully happen within the next month, permitting i pass my MOT first. The horn hasn't been working for a while so will have to start with that. Also the 1st of March signals the start of summertire season, but i think i'll stick to my winters for a few more weeks in case of a "backwinter" which always comes... even though i can barely wait to get my Volks back on!
  4. Looking very nice, awesome wheel choice compliments the color well.
  5. Thanks guys, good to know that all is well down there, just always worried that my engine's going to explode or something!
  6. Old plug vs. new. 2 years 4 months of action icluding a few track days, does it look normal to you? I really don't know if that's normal wear or not.
  7. True but then i can't get to the screw, there's a plastic shield of somesorts in the way. The only opening to actually see the screw is towards the windshield.
  8. Yeah, you can do it, man! And if the problem are the inner fenders in the front, don't worry, they'll wear out! Speaking from experience
  9. WELL right now i'd love to show a photo of my hat collection (yes, i have one!) but the bags are in the basement... but you can trust me, they won't run out!
  10. Tried that also, but in vain . There's still some head left so can try to screw it out if somebody knows some special moves. The problem is applying enough force because the screw is in such a difficult spot.
  11. I'm sorry, there seems to be some sort of a language barrier here. What does "enough wheels" mean?
  12. Haha maybe i'll add that to the list and draw one randomly from a hat! The poly inserts are the same for all b16 and 18 engines, bro, i got this set from Tegiwa: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item27d8069425
  13. Done this a few weeks ago but the rotor screw was completely stuck! There was absolutely no removing it, tried wd40, different screwdrivers, philips driver bit with a powerdrill but all i got was a stripped screw. Was careful not to completely destroy it, though. Any tips on how to get it out? A quick google recommends breaking the rotor with a flathead screwdriver to create some working space, then using a dremel to make a flat cut into the screw and using a flathead screwdriver to finally get it out. What do you think?
  14. New bits! These went in already: Except for the rotor, the screw was absolutely and utterly stuck! Will need some special moves to get it out. I've never changed the leads, rotor or the dizzy cap (had the car for 5 years now), so thought it was about time. Especially for the cap, the plastic cracked around where the screws go in when i removed it! I haven't given her a proper trashing yet to find out if the power curve has smoothed any as some people say Magnecors + quality plugs will do. And do you know what's cool? When the doorbell rings at 9 in the morning, and there's a courier with a big box and you haven't got slightest idea what he's hauling in until you open it and remember it's some tuning bits you ordered in the middle of the night a week earlier! Energy Suspension motor mount inserts (evil cat not included!). Hope these'll eliminate the massive wheel hop i get during quick launches. In addition, i've got a pretty good sum saved up for something big! MeisterR's? Complete new exhaust? New wheels? I also need a cam belt replacement soon so maybe new cams and gears and a tuning session...? So many options to waste my hard earned money on! Thank god for a proper hobby.
  15. Really looking forward to this. Respect for pushing the m-velope!
  16. I get massive wheel hop during fast launches so this is a must for me. How hard was the install? Can i do it in a garage with a jack?
  17. Looking very good. I've been thinking about energy inserts also, did you install this set? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ENERGY-SUSPENSION-ENGINE-MOTOR-MOUNT-INSERT-HONDA-B16A-B16A2-B16B-B18C-B-SERIES-/171128034341?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27d8069425
  18. I've had Falken ZE912's in 16" and 17" and they grip really well, in dry and wet also and will stick with these in the future as well. But to return to the original subject, i was recommended 195/50's, by a racing company, when asking around for optimal tracks tires for my mc2. So i'd guess it's a pretty good size handling concerned for the street also!
