  1. lots longer... longest 5th for b-series boxes. looking forward to not keep trying to change up when I'm already in 5th
  2. really reccomend the bosch aero wipers - have always had the sparco ones, but the bosch ones are much better. better made too
  3. got my old arb bolts extracted today and some new ones popped in... the bolts on the other side (that hadn't sheared) were rounded off and probably gonna go pretty soon. the guy had to drill the sheared ones, re-tap them and ended up putting a third bolt in that side! it's great now - it's like when i first got the arb fitted lesson of the tale... don't use bolts from b&q to hold an arb onto your chassis
  4. it would be a crackers mobile the looks of wtf when you smoked someone would keep you warm all winter long!
  5. must admit I thought it was pretty cool
  6. she's looking good there bud - just read through the 8 pages (still playing catchup) and you've been a busy boy since ditching the smx
  7. x2 I'm about 5'11 (with a long back) and my head nearly touches the roof with mine. do quite like the position though compared to the standard seats... would just prefer them to be a bit lower. i used the brackets off the standard seats onto the ep3 rails.
  8. 1"£££$££"!! cheers Dave been planning them for long enough sick of seing the drive train parts in the conservatory
  9. been too busy sleeping / being a dad, but that's settling down now so thoughts are turning back to tinkering. went though a period of loads of punto's round here... was 3 used to park round ours... until they broke
  10. plus... i seem to have parked my car up a wall (ctrl+r) and i hope that noone's offended by the reflection of the punto...
  11. more than the clear coat.... down to the undercoat / primer still honda allan said he'd see about getting my 4.7 final drive & ls 5th in the next few weeks... busy times for tubs - nowt for about a year, then service, and a planned trip to the body shop / sports cat / gearbox awsomisation process (inc clutch & dc2 flywheel) all in a few weeks.... YEY
  12. boo... just had to book in another trip to the body shop - noticed a white patch on the passenger door at the jet wash this morning, sprayed it and a patch of paint came off - someone must have hit the door in a car park and damaged the paint enough to loosen it... arse
  13. not good at all... oil change, brake fluid change, coolant change, valve clearances... all that good stuff. drives like a dream this morning.. and lovely feeling on the brakes
  14. well, lovely big service today, hamp filter slipped in there too... left it way too long since the last one - think it had tar instead of oil
  15. just read cut springs... they'll need changing then..
  16. sounds like you're in for some fun if you did go eibachs you'll definately need better shocks... for the roads, but massively for track and especiallly the ring - the bounce with standard shocks is scary. if i had my time over, i'd try the koni yellow shocks on the standard springs, but with the spring cups on the shocks on the owest setting so you still get a bit of a drop.. I reckon that'd give a comfortable ride, but much better handling than standard. always gives the choice of upgrading the springs if still needed. wish i'd done the shocks first so I knew - anyone else upgraded shocks but not springs? sorry if I'm hijacking the thread a bit, but for control in bends good shocks rock
  17. just read through your thread - nice work. those wheels really suit interested to see how you get on with the brakes
