"What the Heck??" Smitty_Works MC3 Aerodeck
vtec2011 replied to Smitty_Works's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Nice MC... wait, MC3? Has to be the 1st one I seen! Looking forward to seeing how you progress with this -
Nothing major on the MOT then! Why aren't the wheels on yet?
-
Excellent stuff! Good job on fitting the inlet mani and I am intrigued about the bumper I'm hoping to fit a standard D16Z6 inlet manifold on my Aerodeck soon. Not sure if it will make a difference or if it's worth the hassle on a fairly high mileage engine. Oh well, try it anyway

My PB MB9 Aerodeck! Engine rebuild in progress
vtec2011 replied to vtec2011's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Some updates! Today I have taken the center exhaust and MGZS back-box off the MB3 and onto the Aerodeck. Sounds ok apart from a small rattle occurring which is probably the heat shield. And the rear end of the exhaust sits slightly behind the bumper but will do for now. I hope to get this cat-less manifold on tomorrow for a bit more noise! Excuse the mess, the boot is a right tip! I didn't realize how low the MB3 was... MGZS gear knob Gave the interior a good clean, need some new mats! -

Thanks bud I thought it was something like 2 or 3 days but according to the boss, it's about 2 weeks? I might have missed something out... Oh cool, again I thought NVQ lvl 3 is required to do an NTTA test? Cheers Tom! -

I will put the code in my phone now. I want to get the door and bumper strips colour coded -
Aha I didn't know thre was such thing as satin lacquer. I will have a look around, nice one mate
-
Nice updates, loving the NUTS! Why did you remove the power steering pump though? Trying to steer from stand still is going to be difficult with wide a$$ wheels like that!

Simply stunning! I need a set of wind deflectors myself -
Fresh good? Looks new and simple but effective. Yeah pretty fresh... I'm in the same boat, I want to do my wheels in satin bronze but not sure to lacquer it
-
Nice! I got a Sony Alpha A100. Sony camera's are amazing!
-
Nice one! For the track-rod ends, genuine stuff is always best but it depends on how much you want to spend. I got cheapo Q-drive track-rod ends on my old MB3 which cost £15 each. Had them on for 3 years with no issues. The same to ball-joints

vtec2011 replied to vtec2011's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Thanks people Again I haven't been on here for a couple days due to doing sh*t load of homework and taking exams. I hope to get good results when they come though in 6 weeks so then I got my NVQ level 3 Motor Vehicle Qualification. If all good, I will be doing a 2 week MOT course. Then more £££ for Deck! Yes! Hopefully get round to it over the weekend! Cheers bud. The pictures really don't do it justice at all... I just taken these pics -

vtec2011 replied to vtec2011's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Thanks Snakey! I hope to make it look like a VTi-S (replica) but with some mad touches I am currently making spacers for them now! -
I got those mudflaps too. They will be going on the Deck soon

I am desperately wanting to de-chrome everything on the Aerodeck but I haven't had time! I thought swapping the rear speakers in the ceiling was going to be a 10 minute job but nope... I broke the speaker covers in half but they were damaged anyway. Stabbed my hands a few times with a screw-driver and only to find out that the aftermarket speakers are too deep! I shall have to make spacers then
