  1. lol found the online version for the laptop. Only thing to watch is the site makes your pc run slow. No civic M's unfortunately (as always!) but I did find the FN2! So did a quick mash up of Roxy! lmao
  2. was just gonna say the same thing! lol

Try getting a price from our Honda dealerships that are Official Civic5 Traders mate, you'll get a discount that way. Try John Banks Honda, or Western Honda (Kinnaird, Edinburgh) and let them know you're a club member. Not too sure if Western do delivery though, but John banks deffo do
  6. Yeah, as Grant says, the exhaust noise will be drowning out the roar you got from the butterflies opening. Any decent induction kit will return the induction roar, as this is where the actual second sound comes from, the air intake. Get some photos of your MB up when you sign up mate, we all love to see photos of members cars!
  7. Sorry chaps, been busy lately, will try and get onto it tonight when I get home

Just had a quick look myself mate, and the original how to I posted with photos etc is gone for some reason, probably lost during the switch over to the current forum platform. There is another one there though. I'd download our service manual from the downloads section mate, it gives you detailed pics on it.

mega easy to fit mate! only two bolts to remove on the thermostat housing, pull out old one and pop in the new one. I'd put a new gasket on the housing too just to be safe. And always best to drain the coolant system first to do this, so you can flush it through and fill it with nice new water/antifreeze mix. Theres a how to in the tech section mate

Yeah mate, sounds like the thermostat is opening too soon then sticking. On the move the temp gauge should only drop by a very tiny amount, probably no more than 2mm at the very most. About 1/3rd is where most of the MBS sit on the gauge. Has the thermostat/coolant been changed before? If it has, it could also mean the coolant system hasn't been properly bled. When its up to temp, check (carefully!) the top and bottom radiator hoses, both should be hot. Then drive it until the gauge drops like you describe, and quickly stop and check them both again. You'll find one or the other will be cooler, and if so points to faulty stat or airlock. Both very easy to fix though. Oh, and its possible its already had a new stat, but the new one could also be faulty. That's quite common too!
  11. Loving the look of this one mate, Frosty is looking good! Cant beat a white car when its all clean and shiney, just looks amazing. Love the mods youve done so far to her!
  12. Yeah, will need to speak to them about that in the new year mate
  13. That looks sweet mate! Huge difference to what she was like when you started, and looks spot on now!
  14. Yeah Ali, ask for Derek or Iain in the parts dept. Handy people and always helpful.
  15. Yeah, seen this video before too,and a the same paint on a corvette or something similar. The only thing I don't get is that the paint is meant to be electrically controlled, so how does it work on the plastic bumpers etc? I heard in one of the videos they "ran wires on the backs of the plastic bumpers, but surely it wouldnt be so even in colour on those parts? Really cool if it's pukka, but I've got reservations about it. In this country, they'd probably find a law (or invent one!) so it couldn't be used. Would be all too easy to commit crimes and get away with it etc.
  16. lol too true babe, it's one thing missing her knowing how well she's being looked after, but a complete other when she was being neglected by that numpty! Will always miss Ruby, she was my lady, my pal and general licence looser! lol Love her! I can sleep easier knowing she's in good hands though, and they tell me the shouting out her name in my sleep will pass with time! lol
  17. Yeah, I get a good discount, as do all civic5 members, from Western Honda on parts. Western Honda at the fort, not sure if the one at the other end of Edinburgh does the discount though
  18. Et voila! lmao I dunno, give someone a simple task that they could do standing on their head, and it appears.........................like they're standing on their head!! lmao Downloaded it to my laptop Tom, and it displayed the wrong way there too, so flipped it then uploaded it to your post.
  19. lol, The mad man strikes again! Did you upload it via the phone Tom? It worked alright in the cotm post? I'll see what I can do, got a wee magic wand here that I wave sometimes to fix things!
