  1. She's come along in leaps and bounds mate! Some really nice mods on there!
  2. Yeah, keep thinking that aswell, but like you say, could end up buying a right nightmare on wheels. Least I know she's a good un' The skirts still havent been prepped or painted yet mate, had too much on since this time last year with hospital etc. They will be top of the to do list now the mot's out the way though. Need to get them on so she's finished........just a couple more wee things I want to get for her though
  3. Got her back yesterday, and she's driving perfect! The bill for all the work (inc MOT) came in at £600, but when I looked at the itemized invoice, the service alone was a job well done. Fuel filter, oil filter, pollen filter, oil, spark plugs etc all done, brake fluids changed, new trailing arm bushes fitted (these were a pig to get out!) new discs and pads etc. Seeing as she didnt cost owt for her mot, thought it was a good idea to get this all done so she's mechanically perfect again. That along with the 4 x Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres I got her means thats all shes getting for a while! lol Around £850-£900 over the last couple of months!
  4. Not even one mate! was amazed! I decided on getting the new brakes and getting the trailing arm bushes done as I felt the discs were warped (vibrating under heavy braking) and there's been this knocking noise in the n/s/r for ages that no garages seemed able to detect, until the boys at RJM noticed slight play in the trailing arm bush on that side (not enough for a fail or an advisory though). So hoping this cures the wee niggles once and for all. Also getting the brake fluid drained and refilled with fresh stuff Should be getting her back at some point tomorrow as didnt have enough time to pic her up today
  5. Not done much to Ruby lately, but did get a new (used) set of front fogs for her to replace mine which are both broken Gonna get them fitted up soon, complete with protective film and a repaint. Took her to RJM for her MOT today, and she PASSED!!!!!!! Totally delighted, as I was convinced a big fail sheet was imminent"! She's been left up there for some work to be done. I decided to get new discs and pads fitted as my front discs are on the way out, so thought night aswell get it done seeing as she didnt have any mot repairs to fork out for. Also getting the rear trailing arm bushes done, as they are starting to look a bit perished, and theres a tiny bit of movement in them, so will get some recent pics up when shes all done. Hopefully get her back Monday or Tuesday
  6. lol welcome along mate, enjoy the site

    Totally reliable, can't beat honda!
  8. Damn hard to choose again!! lol Always such high standards chaps, top motors!
  9. Now that's looooooooow! Nice MB mate! Is it a vti (MB6) as it appears to have the Civic ES alloys on it which are 100 x 4 stud pattern (MB6 is 113 x 4) The leather interior is a sweet upgrade on these, looks much better. What wind deflectors have you bought as theres mixed opinions on what make fits best. The Climair seem to be the better fitment, the Team Hekko not so good. Keep up the good work and welcome!
  10. lol I deliberately park badly.............usually across 2 spaces so no git can park next to mine and dent her! We once parked dawns deck in a disabled space in a shopping centre multi story car park, that was the last space on the row (so next to the wall) Came back to find a 4x4 had somehow squeezed into the space between dawns car and the wall! it wasnt even a parking space! Even though they could see it was a disabled space, and the badge was displayed, their 4x4 was parked approx 1cm off of our drivers door mirror. If she'd been on her own, she'd have been fecked, so lucky I was there. Had to climb across from pass side to drivers side. Not sure how they got out of their 4x4, because it had about 4 inches between it and the wall Bastids left a mark on the deck though on drivers side. Waited half an hour to see if they came back, coz I was gonna 'ave em, but they didn't show. So yup, I'm an official 2 space taker now!

WE NEED TO KEEP THIS REGISTER TIDY TO MAINTAIN AN ACCURATE RECORD. THANKS. PS: Thank you to member Cynabal for trying to keep this thread tidy, and for bringing it to our attention. Much appreciated mate

  17. lol will do cheif when I get 5 mins Yeah they really are a brilliant company, we've had a few members go there now. Dawns on the mend, getting there slowly but surely ta 6.500 miles in 4 months!! you going for a record lol
  18. not updated this for a while! Well, just had Dawns deck up tp RJM Performance for the annual check on the Powerflow exhaust (has it been another year already????) Exhaust checked out fine, and still looks as good as the day it was fitted. As her mot was due this week, it made sense to get it done while we were there. Sad times! In the 6 (or 7) years shes owned the deck, this is the first time it's failed the mot. Had to happen sooner or later! Failed on one front wiper o/s/r wheel bearing Was gutted to say the least, but Dawn said (whatever it needs, just do it!) The guys at RJM were excellent as usual, got us a new bearing and got it all fitted up for us while I was there (which is good as its a fair old drive up to there from ours). Top job as always, and she soon had her new mot. The amazing thing is the mileage...............she's done around 1300 miles in a year! This had been due to Dawn being ill, so the decks only been out once every few months for a wee run. We sussed out why the bearing was failing. Last year, we had an advisory on the o/s/r calliper seizing, and at one point the actual alloy wheel was burning hot! We got refurbed calipers thanks to Rich, but obv the damage had already been done to the bearing due to the extra strain put on it by the seized brake. Ok, so mot done, next up is her latest mod. Dawn bought the pukka honda civic m headlight covers/protectors from Adam (jalesi2001) last year, so theyve been fitted up and look top dollar. Dawns like me, prefers oem mods I'll get some pics of them when I get 5 mins Just want to say another big thanks to Roy, Clive and the team at RJM Performance for being so accomodating and shuffling jobs around to fit us in when I was running late. Top guys and quality service as always. Clive makes a great cup of coffee too! lol
