10 outta 10! lol Ok, finally got the one thing I've always wanted for ruby since day one...........the VTiS Speedline Chronos. They badly needed refurbed, as they had lots of flaky laquer/paint, and bits of corrosion. Was onna sand and paint them, but in the end thought they deserved better than that so opted to get them professionaly done. They were sand blasted, cleaned then powder coated in white. Honestly, cant believe the finish on them! Basically like brand new wheels! Was bricking it to get tyres on and get them fitted to the car!!. Also got a full set of Toyo T1R's on them, as they is my fav tyre! Really changes the look of the car!!! Lowered and she'll be perfect. Oh, and get the sideskirts on!!! What you think? Still got the drivers side centre cap to paint (thanks to simpo for these, as I somehow managed to lose one!) then fit the Honda "H" decal to them, which will be in red Excuse the state of her in the pics,m she needs a wash!!

16's are a really good size to go for mate, especially on the mb/mc's. Just a nice inbetween size. Hav a look at James "psychodogbeast" mb6, he has 16' vtis style speedlines on it. looks spot on Tyres can be expensive for 16's though, sometimes costing more than for 17' tyres!

Been busy. Got a proper metal polishing kit from Paul (bladerider929) so decided to see what i could do with it! The tailpipe on my powerflow was pretty dull when I bought it, and corroded. I polished it best i could back then, but , tbh, it was looking crap recently! Basically no shine at all, really dull and a dark brown/bronze colour, looked fit for the bin. So decided that can be my practice piece! Took off the back bumper to save disturbing the exahust. Used the three different compounds and mops, and it went from horrible to this... P4300056.jpg Another mod will be ready to fit this week, watch this space!!!

wee uppy-datey! Had dawns deck into RJM performance to get new timeing belt fitted. Big thanks to the guys up there for a top job as usual! Also big thanks to Paul (bladerider929) for driving my mb6 up for me while I drove dawns aerodeck (dawn wasnt well enough for the trip) appreciate it mate! Also got a new cv boot kit from honda for it as the N/S one had split, so RJM fitted this too. SOo, not done much to the deck at all during winter. Now springs here though, its had.... 4 brand new Toyo T1R's fitted (love these tyres to bits!) Also gave it it's first mega clean for this year. inside and out, now looks top dollar!

lil update: Not done a thing throughout the winter (appart from above tyres!) so now springs here it was time to get busy. Had both my mb6 and dawns aerodeck up to RJM performance to get new timing belts fitted. Top job by them as always. next up is a service. gave ruby her first good clean of the year. Inside all cleaned out/vaccumed/glass done, exterior mega washed, powerwashed underneath. Gave bodywork a good going over with T-cut to remove all swirls and small scratches (have given up on clay bars..........way too much effort/time to get the same results t-cut gives in a quarter of the time!) Next up, 3 coats of autoglym super resin polish, followed with 3 coats od turtlewax ice polish ( good for all the black bits too ) then finished off with turtlewax original wax to seal it all in. Tyres all dressed, and have to say shes looking top banana! Got an Alpine head unit (with iPod control) on the way to replace the pioneer (which is still perfect, just want something to run the ipod properly) and starting to get the vtis speedlines ready for refurbing. Also priced up a new powerflow backbox for her as I dont like the tailpipe on the current powerflow box, so that may be happening soon! next plans before summer hits us........full leather interior, and lowered.

My Pirates Black Civic VTi... Quick Machine Polish
Dave replied to WilkesyMB6's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Does it not just slot straight in Josh? Think it does, and its got a wider front that cover the existing cigar lighter when closed? -
Not much been done to ruby, but latest thing is a set of winter boots for her! Found out during the snow that she is totally useless the minute theres anything more than a couple of inches of snow! Just will not go! So finally got her tracking sorted out and managed to find a set of winter tyres! Hoping this sorts out the problems in the snow, though knowing my luck, we won't see any now for the next 3 years!! lol. Did notice a huge improvement in the wet so far, turns in more sharply with these on. Going to start the refurb on the speedlines soon, so will post up pics of them as we go along. Can't wait!
