First thing to check is your brake fluid level mate. If its low it will light up the brake warning/handbrake light. Also check the wires/plug on the brake fluid resevoir to make sure all is ok there. Last thing to check for the handbrake light fault is the actual handbrake switch. It could be the switch is faulty which would also make the light stay on but go brighter when the handbrake is applied. For the abs, you can pull the code by using the two pin diagnostic plug. Theres a how to in the forum on how to get the abs codes which will tell you where the fault is on the abs side of things. Most likely an abs sensor has failed. On saying that, not sure the 1.4 civics had abs?

Swaps? Lol will get them stripped down and cleaned up again before meet. DD has been getting used since the mot, even out in the rain at the weekend. Plan is to drive her every weekend now regardless of weather.......which is just as well cos the weather sucks up here!

Plus there's smelly folk on buses eeewww!

Id rather own any car rather than rely on crap public transport! Who wants to stand waiting for hours on a bus that takes 2 hours to do a 15 minute car journey? Bugger that! Lol

lol hate the new TypeR, looks gash!

And she failed Handbrake efficiency 13% (has to be 16% and above for a pass) Front brake sticking Brake light bulb (bugger must have blown on way there) mot guy reckons rear brakes just need a strip down, clean and grease up and adjust handbrake. Same with front calliper thats sticking. So have just told them to do it as it saves hassle bringing her home to faff about in the garage. get her back monday

browsing autotrader last night (as you do) and found a vti mb6 and a vtis mb6. Prices are bizarre! first the vti.... The ad is gone today, but it was up for £2100 with around 60 odd thousand miles on the clock. was standard, looked ok but think price was optimistic. And now for the absolute dreamer.... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201701221560630?postcode=eh331hp&maximum-mileage=60000&radius=1500&sort=price-asc&onesearchad=Used&advertising-location=at_cars&aggregatedTrim=VTI-S&model=CIVIC&make=HONDA&minimum-mileage=45000&page=1 bargain eh! Funny thing is though, although those prices seem high to us, for some reason its ok for a 3 door ek4 to have well over 130k on the clock and have a price of £4000! 4k for a car thats not as well equipped, with less power and common as muck. Ah, but its all about the "JDM" (when most were built in Swindon!) Yo! Car prices are just wierd at the moment. We keep looking for a classic such as a ford escort mk2 or a capri, but they are just fetching crazy money now, even for lowly rusted models.
