    My mb4

Sad times for the wee mb4 mate, she was looking superb at the last meet/run. Really liked that civic, reminded me of Ruby. But,..........nice one on getting the deck!!!! So glad youre staying with the civic M's! How the hell did you find that for £185????? Need to bring her down for a wee photoshoot withh DD! Liking the plans you got for her. Above all, glad the mrs is ok mate. Know the roads up your way well and theyre a total night mare.....pot holes, blind bends and really narrow. Glad she walked away from it, and testimony to how these civics, given how old they are, still protect us well. plus the fact she still get her home!
  2. C'mon people! there are some cracking civics in the forum incuding some new members cars! lets see them!
  3. Loving the HUD on the video mate, really cool! She looks to be handling nicely, bit of oversteer is always better than understeer. Civic is looking sweet!
  4. Well, left it too late to go hunting for classic insurance so went and renewed it instead. Thought it would be daft to let the insurance run out when shes sitting with almost a years mot and 5 months tax. Would also mean her sitting not getting used again, meaning brakes etc would seize. So we were out and about in her yesterday, even got her carrying a load of new floorboards which have been used to creat more shelving in the roof eaves of the garage. shes now showing 600miles exactly since the mot so thats good. the Front brake has freed off a bit with the driving, but still going to strip them down. Had a clearout in garage so got room to work now lol. in other news, Gayles focus blew a turbo hose so its back in garage getting that fixed!
  5. It sounds like youve looked in all the right areas for the culprit mate. Without actually hearing it its hard to say for sure what the fault is but if you can get the parts such as track rod ends and stuff cheap enough id stsrt with those. Always best to start with the cheapest probable cause then work your eay through. Worst case scenario is the rack itself, although would expect the noise to be there when stationary too. Does it appear to be more to one side of the car? Also look for any signs of rubbing on the various parts.
  6. let me know the error codes mate (use the support ticket) and i'll look into this. Loving the work thats going into this one, deffo gonna be a one off!
  7. If it was just a couple of hundred quid mate id happily pay it, but im not paying almost £500 for a limited mileage policy as its just unreasonable. The typeR wasnt anywhere near that to insure and that was with 12000 miles a year. Insurance sucks big time! That is good news......for us! Glad shes staying mate i have to say, really sweet deck that! Yeah, they know they have motorists over a barrel because we have to have insurance. Licence to print money and rip us off aswell.
  8. Way too much Tom, insurance sucks! Can't believe it's costing so much to insure when the max mileage is 5000 miles a year. Only problem Ive found though is that a lot of insurance underwriters won't insure her with the coilovers. Even debating putting her suspension back to standard, will see what these classic insurers are like then see what way we need to go. Deffo not paying stupid money for insurance on her that's for sure.
  9. loh, and just got her insurance renewal through which is fue on 27th......no a happy bunny with the quote so she'll either be A) going off road till spring or if i can get it.... B).getting classic car insurance
  10. Got the mini back today so DD isn't going anywhere till i fix that front calliper. Its mega binding so need to strip it down completely and refurb it with new seals/ piston etc.

lol and the colour changing wheels commences! not usually a fan of black alloys but that looks good mate
  12. One that caught my eye........really nice MA belonging to kalopooo
  13. one of my favourite places Aberystwyth mate, stunning place. The roads there are amazing! love the idea of just chucking it into 6th and blasting round the bends......mega fun! ohhhh yesss!
  14. Not done much to Carly lately but did take her on a run up to Loch Lomond. Gayle and me got a nice wedding gift of a private boat tour of the loch with our own private chef! was excellent! The roads around there are epic, although we did get stuck behind a few tourists who didnt know these roads were made for driving....fast! once we cleared them we had fun tho, Carly handles the twisties amazingly. stopped off at Gayles sisters in bishopbriggs on way home, then, as Gayle felt a bit poorly decided to head home fast. sat at around a ton all the way home (no wasnt speeding offisher, was talking about carlys weight!). sadly, on way home from work today the rear brakes (which have been binding badly for a while) have gone! pads are down to metal. Was gonna strip the brakes in a couple of weeks and renew everything but this means DD will be back on the go tomorrow. gonna get new pads front and rear tomorrow and fit them when i get home from work. wee pic when we arrived and of the view from boat
  15. nice attache case sir! lol looks fun mate! always seems to be plenty going on down your way for petrol heads, wish it was like that up here!

lol wondered when this would happen! You not going for some loud colours or you gonna keep this one mean n moody?
  17. lmao I would qualify! lol in other news, the rear brakes (which have been binding badly for ages) on Carly went today on way home from work. pads are down to metal Gonna buy some on way home tomorrow and strip the brakes down tomorrow night after work........means DD is hitting the road again tomorrow! no happy though as the little neds in the town where i work went on a spree last week smashing car windows in the car park where i usually park. gonna park DD at the golf club instead as its much safer. means a bloody long walk to work though!
  18. As far as i can make out it is mate, but not sure what the qualifying age is. Know it used to be cars 20 or 25 yrs and over but they might have increased it. lol im not moaning about the miles mate, far from it! Really good to see her getting some use again. Bummer bout the brakes tho! lol
