There's a plastic thing that pushes into hole in wing. Bit like a wall plug you would use to screw in a wall in your house. It stretches out a little when screw goes in

Top job man!!!! I'm getting more confident to paint stuff myself after seeing all you lot doing it. So you sand the colour then just lacquer over it??

Was gonna share some pics from yesterday but all but a few have turned out a huge blur for some reason. This is one of g786 drag cars. One of the fastest fwd in the country. Under 9 seconds 1/4 mile. Some crazy engines all over the place. On the rocker cover is vtec solenoid blank. His big power engines have vtec rocker arms and all the gubbins removed. Don't know what was in this but it sounded like an absolute beast! There also a BMW specialist. Obviously.

Yeah its stupid to be honest. Ya can't hear stereo at 70mph.. and it sounds daft but it's such a deep rumble at start up.bit resonates through whole car. Glove box shakes blah blah. Fancy it a bit toned down. Shame because I love the back box I had made. Just not sure whacking a long mid box in is gonna turn it down a lot.

Thanks guys. I'll take it for a proper blast Friday. May even be able to borrow a go pro. It's a nippy little thing that's for sure!!! Gearbox helps too. Not very refined tho. quieter exhaust is high on priority list now

Look after them and they look after you!!! Guess that's why so many of us go the extra mile servicing. I mean ya wouldn't get dizzy caps and magnacors with a £99 kwik fit service. Just a splash of cheap oil and ya washer bottle filled up.

In fact. I've always been paranoid ever since owning this engine. It's really noisy. Ticky. But it always looks after me. Reliable. And responding well. I watched it bounce off the limiter 10 times today and not a hint of smoke at all. Not bad really it's covered over 120k miles. And I've punished it! Goes to show what good servicing does. New oil and filter every 3k max. And anything needed done straight away

Yeah I'm well chuffed. I was hoping for around 190. Tad under expected. This is a very good result for a c4. Don't think many would get this high so yeah I'm over the moon actually.

It'll all be good man. Start spraying the bolts with wd now and get the wire brush on em. Then just give them a little tweak first and make sure when turning the head the bolts is turning in the captive nut, before it snaps.
