  1. Tis a lovely car that one Dave. Looks mint.
  2. Yes I'm familiar. Eek. When your ready I will do my best to assist you.
  3. Haha yes this is where the fun starts. Because usb to serial just doesn't work like you'd expect it too. What burner have you got. A generic one or a moates?
  4. Touch wood that will be preconfigured. You may have to have a fresh map burned for yours. As you need to enable datalogging RTP in crome and know which data logging protocol is installed.
  5. Been a pain in the a*s to setup tbh. As not alot of info about doing it on the net. And trying to issue AT commands to it via USB to serial adapter been a nightmare.
  6. No mate. It's a serial to Bluetooth adapter. Plugged into the cn2 connector on the ecu
  7. Tidied it all up now. Reinstalled ECU and panels but ordered a new cabin filter and heater resistor. Thaught may aswell while there. VID-20210110-WA0025.mp4
  8. Had a couple hours to play about this morning. Got the car running on the k20 coil pack. Seems cool. Runs nice. Need to make a plate to hold the coils down mind as I expect they will jump off as they are. Also managed to get the Bluetooth working finally. What a pain in the a*s that has been. However it now seems responsive. And outputs all engine sensors to my phone using Tunerview app. Can overlay them onto video footage so shall have a play with that on next track day
  9. Hmm my favourite mod is probably my intercooler setup. Not a fan of seeing the pipes sticking out of the fog lights.
  10. If there off the later zs they have the full kit. So probably short as the arches tuck into the skirt
  11. Interesting. However the rotor arm in here had been moving a lot. Wearing both the cap and the plastic guard out.
  12. Done coil on plug conversion this weekend. Just waiting on the actual coils turning up. Slow Xmas delivery I expect. Figured be more reliable long-term. Used hondarulez kit. Pretty straightforward to fit. Interested to see how it works out. What suprised me when taking distributor off to modify it. Was a screw poking through where it should not have been. It's the rotor arm screw come out. Can only blame myself as I rebuilt the dizzy some time ago. Obviously hadn't had my wheatabix that day and not cranked it up. I'm unsure when this occured, however the car started and ran just fine like this. And last two times it's been out were for track day and Dyno where it made healthy figures. Amazing it still ran at all really. Haha.

Must have really been cranking it over for a long time to ring wash it. Glad your getting somewhere tho.
  14. I'm not sure the ins and outs mate. But certainly s9b lsd is commonly used in ep3 boxes.
  15. You can actually fit a b series lsd into your box. .no doubt the cheapest option. But then there's the m factory options. Whilst in there could fit a higher final drive. Really transform the car if your planning on keeping it n/a.

Yes set the dizzy timing about in the middle and bridge the 2 pin connector next to the glove box. It will show EML on dash bit that's fine. Try start it. Move dizzy little bit at a time until it starts. Then set it to 16 degrees before tdc using a timing light once you've got it running.

I think I'd be inclined to play with the ignition time first of all. It should be set 16 degree before tdc iirc. It's best to bridge the 2 pin service connector on the left side of glovebox. This will stop ECU altering the timing. Put he dizzy and half way and Try and see if it starts. If it doesn't adjust it either way and try again hopefully will get it to start and then time it up 16 degrees before tdc. If no joy then gonna have to go through your dizzy and ignition system. Check the coil screws are tightened right down for example I've know if before the screws too long and bottoms out not making a good connection. And of course this all came about changing cap and rotor. Try the originals if you know they were working. Then Swap HT leads for another set. Although there usually robust and don't break down on these cars. Just have to go through everything
