Defo sound like you clutch has let go. As for pric s it's usually 4-6 hours labour and material. Clutches are around £100-150 for a reasonable replacement like an exedy.

Look excellent. Good work

Yeah just put some fuel in and retard timing when map sensor sees vacuum on the limit. So it will only do it when going flat out and change gear.

Rust, also a real common place is under the drivers footwells on the seam. Sticky handbrakes. Now 20+ years old. Bushes are really showing there age aswell. -
Sort the cold start out as it some times starts up very rich and has a little paddy for a few secs. And I don't want it popping and banging all the time but gonna have some flame action on on the limiter..that's the plan anyway.

Done the rears today. Friday is wash day and Saturday off to dynodaze for couple tweaks on the map.

Right this is it. Got some optimism now that can go to some shows and do some bits this year. So starting to feel like doing bits on the car, a welcome break from just go work - sit on sofa - go work - sit on sofa over and over. So new oil and filter today. And changed the front brakes. We're looking pretty rough after donnington and upon inspection the discs have cracks all around the bell. Not good. So changed for some pagid discs. Widely regarded as excellent blanks for track etc. All the Clio boys run them. Liking the hel hp600 pads so in they went. Also managed to get some. New arch liners and undertray from a mint low mileage mb3. Which is nice, these little bits excite me for some reason as there often chewed up or damaged as my old ones were both. Just need to tweak the undertray as it's now covering my screamer pipe as didn't have one on before.

Didn't put any washers on no. Have skunk2 LCA tho. Which are very thick. I recall it's necessary to use washers on the standard LCA due to the shape of it.

Couple of nice days spurred me on to get the car out and do a bit again. Few jobs I'd like to tackle this year. Started with fitting mg zs rear ARB. Thanks @dr_broon. Damn it was rusty, so had the full works blasted acid dipped and powder coated. All new links and bushes. Straight away when cornering at speed can feel the improvement. Had a ongoing issue where loose boost control. Which leaves me with only 6.5 psi of boost which is not good when expecting the shabang!!! After consulting with Rich, we concluded that the solenoid is getting cooked as it's fairly close to the manifold which naturally gives off loads of heat. So replaced that and moved under the headlight. See how that goes. Then time for a quick was literally spent a quick hour getting the dust off from storage. Looks a bit better.

My mate has a 7th gen type s and frankly it's lovely for a £1500 car. Quick comfy and feels much more solid than any civic I've owned.

Rear LCA is eg/dc2 length 100% The confusion comes because the fork on the bottom of stock shock absorber is narrow like an ek. So usually you would run an eg rear LCA and fit coilovers with the wider (eg) fork to suit the eg LCA. Front lower arms can use mg zs. Dc2. Eg. Etc Only again Ek front lower arms are completely different design. As is the subframe etc.

Good times mate. It's a properly nice deck that. So much to like about it. And from what you've said it's only gonna get better. Look forward to seeing the updates.

Bloody nightmare getting next gen consoles ATM ain't it. No chance of a ps5 for a while. I baught a new Xbox pre-ordered it for release. Then me son said he was gonna ask Santa for one. So saved it and gave it to him for Xmas.
