  1. All that's left now is to finish hooking the exhaust up, fit the goodridge hoses when they arrive, fit the skunk LCAs after they've come back from the engineering company getting the bush adapted so the shock fits over it. Then it's windscreen swap, paint and done
  2. Looks like a nice one. Never driven or even been in an ep3 tbh. Even the wife's old ep1 was good to drive though. Must admit I like the k24 in the accord, but do miss the angry vtec.. I guess the k20 is a bit of both.
  3. Bah... Wish I'd found this website a few weeks ago https://www.protechshocks.co.uk/build-a-shock/
  4. Bummer thing is that the battery that's in was brand new when I drove the car last.... About a month old yuasa
  5. Well, got a call today saying that the battery was goosed, so nearly ready for starting the engine. Longest thing to wait for now is the replacement goodridge hoses, which might be 2 more weeks!
  6. Hi, I don't know whether anything has changed since this thread... I think that basically you're looking for one from an mb6, or from an MG ZS for one that will just bolt on without needing to be modified.
  7. Yeah, buys me a bit of time to find some different shocks I suppose. I like the fact the eibachs are progressive, and that's always put me off coilies. Never know, I'm getting old... Might like the more comfy ride
  8. Always had them with the konis in the deck previously, so never tried them without. Fingers crossed
  9. Eibach springs and just some standard sachs shocks. The konis were well corroded and ready for the skip. Discontinued and not to be found anywhere. Will have to see how it rides. Eibach say that the springs are designed for standard shocks, so hopefully they will be okay. Can't help feel I'll miss the adjustability and firmness though.
  10. Yes! The seats look just the job. Bet they will look spot on in your mb. Good work on the mani as well, hopefully the mods stopping it happening again.
  11. You're getting like you were with wheel colour changes I like the yellow it is now, but I do quite like that blue colour.
  12. @Dave has the auto on his deck I think?
  13. Every week that goes by makes my wallet cringe Will be worth it though. Just need to persuade the insurance valuation folk...
  14. I sure won't be, thanks bud - plenty of cash splashing going on to not need any more added to the list
  15. Wonder if it's an issue where over time the torque needed to engage the LSD increases? Actually, just seen this on Torsen's website.. "When input torque is applied to a helical gear, it creates a series of thrust forces that push that gearing into the differential casing. When these forces push against the wall of the casing, that contact creates friction. As the torque load increases, so do the forces, and so friction increases in proportion to the amount of torque applied." If it relies on generating friction, then friction must = wear at some point I guess.
  16. Cheers buddy.. That makes me feel a lot better. I never had a reason to doubt the performance of the LSD before, and sure as hell have made use of it plenty of times.
  17. Thinking back to a few years ago in the old car park at work, it did used to make a bit of a groaning noise going round the up ramps at full(ish) lock...
  18. It must be a thing, because it's in the service manual.... I was going to go and check at the garage yesterday, but it wasn't open when I got there. There's no honda ones available any more (surprise surprise) so it'll have to be mfactory or quaiffe. More dollar.
