Hello to everyone. my name is George and I come from Greece. Happy to be in here, looking forward to find some useful infos. I hope forum is still alive I can understand that M's are very old and rare nowadays. Special thanks to Dave for approving my registration! After 20 years of owning an 99 EK Civic 1.6 Vti, I had an accident, an unlucky event I would say and decided to buy something different. So I bought a CIvic MA9 1.5. I always said that these Civics are unique and different from others! So I'm an old newbie we can say! My new Civic is not in good condition, until now many problems in the interior, some on the engine bay and on the chassis...but I will try to do my best to maintain the car. Here are some photos Thanks for the hospitality!

Hello everyone, I’d like to share with you all, a purchase I’ve done via Facebook marketplace, of some OEM Honda MB/MC headlight covers. Bought them from Anthony Vickers, super nice dude who isn’t a scam like you see very often these days. Covers were packed very good so no damage at transport from the UK to the Netherlands thank god! Really stoked about these as you never see them! I like rare stuff so these will look nice in the collection for the car! Cheers!

Hey everyone I had my Honda civic MB3 for over a year now but I wanted but put a Bee R rev limiter in de car for some pops and bangs but I have a stock ecu with a 26Pin 16Pin and 22Pin connector of a D15Z8 engine. So my question is it possible to put a Bee R in this car and witch wires do I need to use to make it work. I have looked online for information put I cant find any with this connector type. All of the video's online that I have seen are different wire ring and different connectors.

I've been told that my MA8 edu is OBD2 but I haven't been able to find the OBD2 connector. Has anyone found it or do we just not have one?

So the start of this year is going to be taken up trying to address all the little, niggly issues I currently have with my old girl. I'm sure I'll find more as I go but my list for now is 1 - Find someway for reattaching all the loose bits of interior trim/headlining. I have already had a go at some with a spray adhesive but it didn't stay stuck! 2 - Find a way of pulling out and repairing the dents in the rear door/arch, or find someone local to do it for me 3 - Replace sticky front calliper with a shiny new one and give the rest of the system a overhaul with new disks/pads & shoes. 4 - Replace exhaust system, Cat and Lamba sensor as she only scraped through her emission test last MOT. I'm hoping to fund this by selling my Factory original CAT that's currently on her, but I've been having problems getting a price for it as it doesn't have any codes on it. 5 - Find out why my drivers window sometimes works fine and sometimes needs pushing to get it to go down. 6 - Look into why my rear bumper is slightly warped on one side and giving me panel gaps that really annoy me. My wife thinks I'm mad and being too fussy but I cant unsee it lol That lot should keep me going for a while so I look forward to keeping y'all upto speed as I crack on with it. Peace ✌️ Joe

Hi guys and gals I'm Joe and I am the proud owner of a 1995 Civic Ma8. I have been on the forum a few times looking for guidance to keep my old girl going well so thought I should get involved and introduce myself. I got my Civic from my friends Grandfather, who had kept the miles down low and the maintenance upto date. I've owned her for 3 years now, and she's my daily so her mileage is now sitting at a eye watering height of 66k lol. I really enjoy owning her but I do struggle to find the right parts when trying to source replacement bits!!! Online auto-factors "reg checks" are bloody useless, and the fleshy things behind the counters are not much better!! Although I'm convinced they made the early MA'S out of the 'left over parts' shelves in the Honda factories!!! I never know if I should be looking at bits listed for MB's or EJ's Anyhow I hope to learn more soon. Look forward to sharing more in the future. :D

Was reading my Classic Car Weekly and one of the readers had put their car forward for the "value my car" section where they get an idea what their car is worth according to the experts. There was a 98 Rover sterling with around 60K on the clock and most of its history. They recon the value is around 3.5 to 4K and advised to get an agreed value policy on it. Same year (almost) as DD and know quite a few of our Civic M's are either 1999 or older so got me wondering if anyone here has ventured into the agreed value route yet with their Civic. I'm thinking of asking them for a value on DD just out of curiosity, as know the tossers at WeBuyAnyCar dot con (where most insurance companies base their values on now) value her at around £250! Which would maybe buy the alloys and bugger all else! Just with them getting pretty rare now, thinking surely the values (that they are actually worth) have gone up now? Don't want to get caught out if the worst happens so deffo thinking about the agreed value policy. Anyone got one on theirs and if so what value did you get agreed?

Hi guys, I guess just abit of a safety announcement? I've currently got a spare seat and noticed the below crack on its drivers seat base! (right next to the mounting bolt hole) Obviously I don't know if the seats were abused previously but thought i'd flag it up incase it was age/fatigue related: Note: It didnt affect my plans for this though : (apparently its not allowed in the house and must stay in the garage haha)

Having a really annoying issue with my MA. So as far as I can tell someone fitted an aftermarket alarm system to my car before I got it (I think). I have no idea. The key fob is separate to the key, has no brand and is plane black. It went corroded and stopped working so I started using the key in the locks which seemed to disarm the alarm and the immobiliser. Then I started getting this situation where I'd turn the key, just the drivers button would come up and the alarm and immobiliser stay armed no matter what. Jiggling the key and a bit of WD in the lock sorted that until I came out the other day, no central locking at all, car constantly immobilised and alarmed and I can't do anything about it. Has anyone had an issue like this ? Is the immobiliser and alarm aftermarket does anyone know ? Why did my central locking just stop ? Picture of key and fob below

I've just had my civic b18c4 swapped recently and I always thought my speedometer looked off. Has this been modified as I can't find another mb6 speedometer with red needles or is this some rare option?

So i repainted my grille black! Its not much but its honest work. I quite like the result but im thinking about : A: repainting my bumber to match with the rest of the car and spraying plastic black B: Putting on the one colored from my spare parts car Dont really know what to do. I like how my car looks now with the half plastic ones and cant decide if it would look good with second bumper. I will have to put on the second one to decide but you can tell me what do you think would look better :)

Civic5 How to guide No 8 - JDM style twin rear fog lights mod. This guide shows you how to modify your Honda Civic 5 door MA/MB rear lights to incorporate twin rear fog lights. This guide could also be used to do the same mod to the Honda Civic 5 door Aerodeck models too, although there may be some slight differences. Big thanks to member Dan1 for this great How To guide!- 1 review
