  1. Thank you all for doing this and putting Dawns deck in as this months winner. I know she would have been so chuffed with this, as she loves the deck to bits. The webpage updates are gonna be a while guys as i just don't have the time at the moment, and I'm not if the right frame of mind to do any of the server based stuff. I'll get back into it in time though, so please do bear with me. Just so much legal stuff and other personal stuff to sort out with Dawn passing away....................never knew how complicated things like this can be. Thanks again for this COTM tribute, really means a lot to both myself and to Dawn (R.I.P)
  2. She's coming on good mate, Ruby's ex interior looks sweet in there. Good to see it finally up in the forum, and looking forward to the mods.
  3. Thanks guys, really appreciate that and know Dawn would aswell. To update her deck project, the decission has been made on what happens to her deck now she's gone. Dawn loved her deck from day one, and even now still loves it as much. She also said numerous times that no matter what, she would never ever sell it. Even if she got herself a new car, the deck would stay with her. So I've decided that to honour Dawn, I'm getting a garage built at the house as soon as I'm back to being of normal mind (I'm in no state just now to deal with anything in life at all). Dawns deck is going into the garage, and will be kept for ever. I'm going to try my best and carry out the final mods she wanted to do to it, like the steeringwheel getting retrimmed at transcal to match the interior, and the full respray. She'd also struck a deal just before christmas on a new set of wheels for it from a close friend and civic5 member, so I'll be getting that sorted out asap too. The plan is to make her deck totally mint, as good as new. I know she didnt want to change engines or anything like that, but she wanted the current engine cleaned and then blinged. So there may well be a whole load of parts getting polished/chromed in the engine bay too. It will be a a moving tribute and legacy of Dawn. I know I had to carry out her wishes of the car staying here with me, as I honestly couldnt face seeing it go away. It would also kill me to pas it on the road with someone other than Dawn driving it. Dawn may be gone from this life, although she is still here in spirit and soul, and her deck will live on as a constant memory of her too. it will only be driven to the occasional civic5 meet or to a civic5 stand at a show, but other than that it's going to be a garage queen. R.I.P. Dawn. You and your aerodeck will live on forever, I promise.
  4. you sold her? wow, she was a stunner mate! what you got now? and yup, she won fair and square mate so will be a permenant feature on our website for all to see i've got the photo uploaded to our cotm winners page/gallery now, still trying to get on top of things! mega busy just now!
  5. only just saw this mate! Congrats to both you and the Mrs! Nice one
  6. Sorry mate, I've been running really behind lately. Not worked on the server for a while, so I'll get onto it today
  7. Did mine, and the results show my cars mot history starts in 2006 with 31,452 Miles on the clock? Wonder why it aint showing from 1998 to 2006? I bought her with I think 32 or 33 thousand on the clock. I need to look through her history to see if all the old mot's are there. Good that you can see what it's all failed on before eh!
  8. I could be interested in this too, if it can be done without the removal of the dash? Would also like to use a sperate switch too (same as the rear one) . Would need a courier price to scotland though. PS: made this a sticky so it gets more attention
  9. Nice one Greg, cant whack a nice VTiS Good work so far, looking much better already
  10. It's got the option for adding it Sarah, so it might make an appearance at some point Its got the sonic sensors inside the car etc, so pretty well covered. The tracker options deffo on the cards next though
  11. excellent progress mate, and glad to see this one being saved Bet you can't wait to get her going again! Loving the daily though, minted little pre-facelift that!
  12. Hello folks. We are planning on a civic5 calendar for 2013, which will feature all of your winning M's. The months inn the calendar will feature the car that won that month, so, for instance January would be KiNK43's Civic. Now , what we need is really high resolution photos of your car (just one per car) as the pics we currently have are not of a high enough resolution. Can all our 2012 winners so far, plus the remaining people who win this year, please send photos asap please. i need to get a move on to have enough time to get a calendar produced in time! You can email them to me at our admin email which is : administrator@civic5.com Please mark the email "FAO DAVE - CALENDARS" Cheers!
  13. congrats andrew! your decks looking amazing! very close one this month!
  14. Wow!! Loved it on the old rims, but have to admit, from that photo, it looks amazing!! Really suits them mate! I loved Robs deck on that rim aswell, decks seem to carry it off soooooo well! Stunning mate!
  15. Latest wee update on the deck! Dawn decided it was high time the deck got some protection! So got in touch with Auto Security Systems (edinburgh) ( http://www.autosecuritysystems.co.uk) and got a nice new Autowatch Thatcham cat 1 alarm fitted. Lots of nice wee features on it, and lots of upgrades available if she wants later on. She's going to add the tracker feature to it too, probably after the new year. The remotes cool as it works from a good distance away from the car, much better than the stoopid standard Honda remote! lol As a bonus, the warning LED is even blue to match the deck! It's one of the high intensity blue ones, and lights up the inside of the car at night when it flashes! Should put of most wannabe joyriders/thieves! Highly recommend Auto Security Systems Edinburgh (aka as Car alarms Edinburgh). Top company to deal with, very friendly and helpful staff and can have it fitted at their premises or at your home/work. Very punctual and reliable too! Give em a call if your looking to get an alarm for yours or to upgrade to a newer one. Contact them on the link above or on FreePhone 0800 1223 156. Tell Ross Dawn and me from Civic5 sent you
  16. Cheers Gary! The sunroof deflector came from Honda. We both ordered them up off the new/old stock list a good few years ago, one for dawns deck and one for my MA8 civic 5 door. I went and left mine on the MA when I sold it, so wish I'd taken it off now! Not sure if you can still get them now from Honda, so give Grey from John Banks Honda a PM in the traders section bud. You can still get a/m ones on ebay and the likes though ( I think!)
  17. What a bargain mater!!!! That's a cracker of a VTiS, especially as it hasnt been modded (means you wont spend time removing/sorting someones mods) The deck should sell quickly, good MC2's are getting hard to find.
  18. See thats the thing with getting interiors done, there are only really the big professional companies out there that do it. So any retrim is gonna cost big bucks, but like you say, if yo want it done right you have to pay the price. There might have been a cheaper company out there to do it, although we didn't find any. But have to say that I doubt a cheaper company would have done the same job, honestly, Transcals attention to detail is amazing. Ruby will be next! lol (need to start saving me pennies! )
  19. Checked last on way to work as it got me thinking! You're right enough mate, mine goes between 56mph - 58mph depending on the road. Must have been going downhill when I got the 60mph at 3k!
  20. I bags a passenger run in your deck at the next meet! Looking forward to seeing the differences the box mods have made. Bet it feels slick tho with it all being rebuilt.
