  1. Yeah i could, the thing is if i i use the socks, then they shocks will stay nice & shiny... and looking brand new. That might make the mot-guy curious if i have new coilovers, and over here you're allowed to only use tüv-approved coils which bc isn't. My old h&r's were approved, which is mentioned in the registration so i won't get crap from cops. We've got pretty strict tuning laws here but if you're careful enough and know how to play around the rules you can drive a pretty heavily modified car, even though almost every mod is "supposed to be" mentioned and tüv-approved at mot. So keeping my thumbs crossed also about the exhaust and brakes i renewed last year...
  2. Ok thanks man, that's what i thought, just wanted some confirmation! I was thinking about socks but i'll need a bit of dirt and wear on my bc's for MOT, so that the dude won't start asking questions about my shiny new coilovers... TÃœV papers to be precise! Or a proper bed! That would be a first here i'm pretty sure! Luckily we're both pretty short so it might even fit
  3. I think aeros just look so much better, smoother. Okay i installed the rubber refills on my old Champions a few weeks ago and they work perfect. 10€ for 4 refills including postage, not bad!
  4. Looking sweet, man, i miss the time my Momans worked properly...
  5. More mods! Can you spot them? Installed some damper adjustment extensions. Took quite an effort to try to measure where to drill the holes, but got them quite all right in the end. And definitely worth the effort, cost only 30€ and no more taking apart the interior to make adjustments . I'm pretty sure you can get these for Meisters as well, so my recommendations. My winter settings have settled at 17 clicks from hardest in the front and 24 at the back. Migth sound soft but bear in mind i have 12/10kg springs. Oh yeah started thinking about something. Here's my old H&R next to the current BC: I installed the BC as it was straight out the box, but should i have taken some parts from the old one? Like the rubber cup in the top where spring sits in? The H&R's were installed at a garage so i don't know if the top mount is actually the oem mc2 one. The bc's did fit perfect and ride is great, no extra noises of anything. But just thought about it since this was the first set of suspension i fitted by myself.
  6. Ok thanks for the comments guys. I think i'm just going to play it safe, drive to a race shop here in Helsinki and get some proper steel nutz.
  7. That was terrible, man! Good thing you finally got them off. I've used internal drive nuts on my winter & track wheels for many years now, never greased them, never torqued them, never had any problems! The nuts came with the wheels when i bought them brand new though so maybe that's why they've been fine.
  8. I'm thinking about new wheel nuts to replace the old oxidised ones i have on my winter wheels. More about the subject here http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9840-d1-spec-wheel-nuts/, opinions & experience appreciated!
  9. Does anyone have these? I'm thinking about buying but i'm a bit suspicious since they're so cheap, 20£ a set including postage. And also they're aluminum, wonder if they are durable enough and safe for track use? Since proper tuning nuts like Muteki are forged steel. Muteki's would be nice of course but are triple the price... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-X-JDM-D1-Spec-Racing-Lug-Wheel-Nuts-Screw-1-5-Short-Black-Honda-Ford-Toyota-D-/350583680500?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item51a06a6df4
  10. Hmm then i think i also need a s80 gearbox, some recaros, and and and... i think i might actually save some money by driving to the ring if i could persuade enough members to bring me parts from the uk!
  11. Thanks man will keep in mind! Yeah postage will be a bit but no worries i'm quite used to it, ordering stuff from the U.K. quite often... . Actually just purchased today a wing mirror from 10000rpm and postage was 25£, but since i can't even find a used silver mirror over here i think it's worth the penny.
  12. Ooh that's a bit for a used bit! But yeah i know you get what you pay for. Gonna wait with this one then i guess, other priorities.
  13. The noise, or SOUND in this case isn't the biggest issue for me, my exhaust is plenty racy enough! Even though i don't mind a throaty intake sound, i'm more interested in having a cool looking bay. And a itr box just looks... too stock. I want something that'll be right in your face when i pop the hood, and i think a whale would do it. The heat shield for the filter would be a must but the pipe will still get heat soaked and for reasons stated i don't want to wrap it either. I am planning on removing the ac so that should provide more airflow into the bay once the rad is removed, maybe that'll help a bit with the heat? But like Krzys said maybe the only way to get best of both worlds is to buy both and use the itr on track days... how much does one cost these days btw?
  14. First of all i bought this little machine, no idea what it's called in english but i can make nice metal edged holes with it. Since i have hand made floormats without the original mounting hole, they move around the office a bit... but not anymore! Second i finally finished the plates, the lowest pic is the current look: Looks a bit better don't you think! :-D Then lastly i serviced my air filter. Still looking almost like new, after 5 years and 50,000km. But since it's been in the bay for so long, maybe it's time for an upgrade at some point. I'd love a Tegiwa whaler since they look hella cool and have heard they have a sound to match... but people keep talking that a ITR box with a K&N filter would make more power. I want both. I mean not both filters but looks, sound & power How do i do it? Oh yeah and went shopping today so more minimods coming up soon.
  15. Well the thread stayed pretty much unviolated for a bit over 5 years so i think i've been lucky! Need to get back to the modding business quick to keep things under check ... actually heading to the garage in a hour so some updates coming soon...
  16. The ferry to and from Finland across the baltic is pretty expensive for cars, no matter you come via Stockholm or Tallinn. So my bet is that the biggest expense would be ferries, then fuel, then everything else in Finland. We're an expensive country, sorry! Actually you're reading my thoughts there. Have already been thinking, for many years, about a roadtrip to the ring but what would make it even cooler would be to try to organise an official Civic5 euromeet at the same time? I'm thinking about summer 2016, gonna start a topic about it at some point but just to let you know! I think it would be hella cool.
  17. Actually i lied about this one! Sorry! I still didn't know! But now i do. My block heater literally heats up the block. The most common types heat the coolant so that's what i assumed mine did too, but the other day i inspected the system and it doesn't go anywhere near the coolant pipes, just straight into the block.
  18. What do you think are the best aero wipers you can get for a M? I've had Champion, which were nice, and then i bought Bosch, which sucked massive wang. Barely lasted a month. Now i just ordered some replacement rubbers from china fleabay for the Champions i still have lying around, gonna see how that works out. But would like to hear other's experiences also! Smooth looks, good wipeage and long life is what i'm looking for.
  19. I'm off to Macedonia in a few hours so gonna catch up with your planning in a week... don't have too much fun test fitting yourselves into chandler's boot!
  20. Are the decks really that much slower than the hatches? I've never driven or even been inside a mb6 so don't have any idea really.
  21. Yeah man meister it up! Or down?
