  1. Good job, man! Like Simon said some proper competition there as well. Watching the vid makes me want to take the deck out on the go-kart track at my work .
  2. Looking so good, the height is just perfect. I'm not a huge fan of mid spoilers but on yours it just looks right.
  3. Nice upgrades there, agree with dr.broon that even a small difference in flywheel weight is pretty noticeable. Loving the clean bay!
  4. Well 3mm won't do much, as i need 25mm more clearance... and the inner diameter of the wheel just keeps getting smaller from the point where the caliper contacts at the moment, so grinding won't help either. The only solution i can think of right now is fitting a small brake kit, and obviously that's not gonna happen! Oh well i guess this is part of the hobby . But nordic Conti's are just awesome, i can pretty much do vtec while going uphill in an avalanche . I've had them for 4 winters and there's still 5mm or more of pattern left on each tyre so no need to change yet! Next time though i'll be getting something a bit stretchier, i think 175/55 compared to the current 195/55 would look much better... http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=195&aspect=55&diameter=15&wheelwidth=7&offset=40&width2=175&aspect2=55&diameter2=15&wheelwidth2=7&offset2=40#content
  5. Here are my new winter wheels, 7x15 Et37 ATF's from Germany. They're stamped 1994 and came in their original cardboard package including TÜV-booklets. They were a steal at only 220€ (170£). I found this guy who had a huge collection of unused 90's wheels in his basement, he told me his "hobby" was buying the inventories of old bankrupt german warehouses . 2 of the center caps were a bit different than the other, but i thought i'd put them on different sides so nobody would probably even notice. Me neither. Unfortunately NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Didn't even cross my mind that they wouldn't clear my stock calipers. You can't even believe the amount of frustration after a week of sealing and buffing the wheels... I thought about machining them a bit but i don't think it's even possible, i'd need an inch more of clearance depthwise and the spokes are already so close to the caliper. Well i guess that's a problem that might come with narrow wheels & big lips... lesson learned! So i guess i'll store them in my parents garage and try to sell them once the winter draws close and people start getting the urge for new summer wheels... i'm pretty confident i can get my money back and probably even make a small profit! So to survive the unstable weather i've removed the R888's off my Leagues and put the Conti WinterContacts on them. At the moment i don't even want to think about new wheels... and luckily i don't have to, because i've got a whole lot of goodies to install: The hoses went already in, fit perfect: After getting the discs and pads on i think i'll re-paint the calipers. Looking quite nasty at the mo! Also i need to get some more brakefluid. I had 1,5 liters but ran out while bleeding, i had a one-man kit with pressurised air i had never used before and i guess i didn't do it quite right since the deck only needs 1,2 liters. Luckily the brakes do work... a little ... just gotta drive slow to keep me & everybody else not killed until i can buy more fluid and get them properly bled!
  6. You don't need any extra wiring man, it's just the lens!
  7. Nice pic! Car looking good but think you need clear repeaters...
  8. No, didn't even think about it! I had a big canister and just poured it in, chilling...
  9. Probably a part of the heat shield? Mine came off bit by bit eventually and every time caused more or less rattle either constantly or at certain revs.
  10. Our winter lasts up to 6 months so that's what you gotta do if you want to roll in style all year round!
  11. This one http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select-car/honda/ek/cooling/tegiwa-aluminium-alloy-radiator-honda-civic-eg-ek-92-00.html and for £100 + shipping.
  12. Also i've got new winter wheels. Gave them a thorough wash and then applied Gtechic C5 wheel armour to give some proper protection against salt they've already been spreading on the roads here... to avoid what happened to my polished Rial's last winter! Was a b*itch to buff, though, took a hour per wheel to do. But now they're done and going on today... pics & specs to come later! And what wheels are they i hear you saying? Well i'm not spilling out the beans quite yet but here's a booklet that came with the box. Note the year...
  13. I left them on, used masking tape to cover the surrounding paintwork. ... yeah i've heard that toothpaste can work wonders... for some reason i thought Mothers would only make quality products. Someone should start selling re-packaged toothpaste in a big shiny box marketed specifically as a headlight refurber... business idea!
  14. Looking good, man, banded steelies are never out of style!
  15. Since my headlights have been looking a bit foggy and yellowish i decided to buy some Mothers Nulens: Well it wasn't quite as good as advertised. Below are the results, which include one extra step of sanding by hand since the pads included in the kit weren't coarse enough. They do look better but are far from perfect, i guess i'll have them machine polished at some point. But still the deck is looking bit better than before! But lesson learned? Use this kit only if you need just a mild refurb.
  16. Clever, never even thought that someone might mod this. Might even do this myself...

    brake stopper

I decided i need a brake stopper so i ordered this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TEGIWA-BRAKE-STOPPER-HONDA-CIVIC-EG-INTEGRA-DC2-/171430553182?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123 ...but i got this: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s51/aarho/IMG_1910.jpg ...which looks a whole lot like this: https://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa-brake-stopper-honda-civic-ek-lhd.html Here's a dryfit: (bear in mind my deck is LHD). It looks like it MIGHT fit. So what do you think, should i go ahead and see how the EK stopper fits or ask Tegiwa to send a DC2 stopper instead? I didn't even think about possible RHD/LHD issues when ordering but i guess i need specifically an LHD stopper because they're not symmetrical, right?
  18. Very nice! I think i've seen this one on Japtoys before, never noticed you registering on Civic5 as well. I guess i wasn't on the forum that much last march... But all in all good to see another finnish M here. Looking forward to seeing the charger fitted!
  19. That's cheap! Over here in Helsinki it'll set you back 50€ (35£) per ARCH.
  20. True, well worth it. This seems to be such a common problem that maybe the forum should buy an arch roller and it could lended / mailed back and worth between members to get their arches sorted out!
  21. That's for a b engine though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CIVIC-D-SERIES-D14-D15-D16-1-4-1-5-1-6-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-/150943502625?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AHonda&hash=item2324ef1121 I don't know if that counts as top end since it's a brandless item but atleast the price is almost double from skunk2!
