  1. Recaros for the win! Still looking for the perfect set myself...
  2. Nice driving, man . Surprisingly low pressures but if it works, that's the main thing. I usually have around 2.5 warm pressure on track, if lower the R888's seem to flex under heavy cornering.
  3. Oh it's been on for a week allready, been checking every now and then and pressure is stable . I'm just a bit slow with the updates sometimes... but the dirty wheels are current!
  4. Hi and congrats on a great choice. Vtec rules. The bumper looks like a standard mb bumper with fogs & headlight washers, just like the one you have allready but without the lip, doesn't it?
  5. Thanks dudes. Had to crank the damping almost all the way up but it's still very driveable. Found the source of the tyre leak: The was some rippage as you can see. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but because stretch, it leaked about 0,2bar per day. But in the end the solution was easy, even though i was a bit skeptical when it was suggested to me at first: A good 24 hours of drying just to make sure, and no problems anymore! Hooray. Then i turned my attention to my track wheels which needed some love and care after doing double duty as winters last season also. Unfortunately i encountered crud i couldn't remove no matter what! It's all over every wheel: I know where the problem is, i didn't properly clean them after last summers track days so the combination of tons of brake dust, salt from the winter roads and your usual road crap apparently produces some pretty persistent s**t. Shame on me, but so far i feel like i'm pretty fed up paying the dues. I've tried brake cleaner, heavy duty cleaning wax, polishing compund but in vain. At the moment the wheels are soaking overnight in Würth Pineline, keeping my fingers crossed! In case it doesn't work, any tips are appreciated!
  6. Congrats, man, well done! The second last driving picture looks like you're going faaaast! I'm planning on doing time attack next year also. What kind of tyre pressures were you running?
  7. When's the last time you had a wheel alignment done?
  8. Thanx man but shipping to Finland is so expensive... i'm trying to find something local. And the full interior i'm looking at is only 300€ / 220£. The same guy also has Evo 5 seats in black and gray but i prefer the look of the Speeds...
  9. Yeah Burbler has some nice looking Evo 7's but in a lot more subtle color, they go well with the interior imo.
  10. I have a chance to buy a full Evo 4 interior including recaro seats for a really reasonable price. The seats in question look like these: I think they are really cool, but am doubting how they'll match with the rest of the vti interior? I've been looking for black itr recaros but just can't find any for a reasonable price. Anyway i think i've seen a mb/mc with these seats here on the forum but can't remember anymore who it was... ring any bells?
  11. Haven't had the time for a proper wash n' wax but did fit summer wheels and lowered the car to summer height: Now it sits about as low as it would ever go with the H&R kit... and i still have about 30mm to spare in the front and even more in the back! I don't get any scrape except in the front in full lock so i think this baby is going lower... and getting some small spacers. Unfortunately also noticed i have a leaky tire! Not too bad to drive but bad enough to need a refill every few days... good thing i've got this! I managed to sell my set of 15" ATF wheels i bought for last winter (which didn't fit) so the Honda Jar got a bit fatter... might be looking at some Recaros's soon...
  12. Had MOT yesterday but tbh i didn't even go watch the process since i was so nervous about my new non-approved hella loud exhaust, non-approved race brakes and non-approved coil set... but passed with flying colours! The only thing the dude had to say about was that he was sorry that he couldn't give me a printout of the brake dyno results since their printer was broken ! I had taken some precautions and removed the "only for off-road use" stickers from the coils and gave some black marker to the "only for race use" texts on the pads, don't know if it was really necessary but better safe than sorry. Also the delivery guy came by my door and brought a box of goodies from Elite Car Care: Can't wait to test the foam lance... never tried one but have heard they're pretty awesome.
  13. It's about 0,5kg. Really? I wonder why that is. Since it's just extra weight and more travel for the air into the intake, i guess making the car quieter is the biggest reason for it's existance. But honestly i didn't notice any difference after removing it, not even in intake sound, but i can barely hear it anyways because of my ear splitting exhaust!
  14. Sweeeeeeeeeet! Specs??! Good choice with the rubber as well and nice detailing with the nutz and caps!
  15. Just by chance stumbled upon them in ebay 3-4 years ago, bought them without hesitating a second! But i'm still without the actual seats, though... so yeah, literally hoggin!
  16. And getting rarer every day in the uk since some random geezers keep adopting them into colder climates.
