  1. wow looking good. sounds like you still got air in there. it takes some shifting if youve had all the hoses off and everything. just be patient with it. something to look at with ya handbrake.. if the piston is wound in too far that will make the handbrake s**t. you should adjust piston so that there is a 1mm gap when fitted over the the new pads.
  2. negative locking mate. you have to cut the locking wires im sure. one into hawk box and one out. not just connect onto the wire.
  3. i got helper springs on my tein super streets. they are a good idea if your low anyway stop the spring becoming unseated if you catch some air. get stuck in with the hawk kit its a doddle if you got the paper work with wiring colours etc from them. im gonna fit another soon in me new daily runabout

    P72 ECU Help

Yeah there are obd2 p72s aswell. Don't buy one of those. The plugs don't fit and you can't chip it. You need an early obd1 style p72
  5. I know. Just joshing. Best be all good. Current box is embarrassing! Louder every day
  6. Alright alright Mr negative! @Krzys
  7. Ebay gave me a ten percent voucher aswell .haha 92.50 delivered. Guy has promised me its crunch free and funny noise free. Let's hope so ay. Bargain tho love ebay at times do win some bargains.
  8. Busy thread. 0.60v is a tad high but it's how consistent the reading is as the throttle opens that's important here i think. As these issues occur at part throttle. It the tps voltage jumps up or down it will cause Instantaneous miss fueling. I also had this issue with my mb6. It coincided with a new dizzy. Myself and dynodaze rich tried all sorts to rectify it. Nothing seemed to work. Ignition timing didn't affect. Lambda didn't help. Cam timing was spot on. Car was serviced regularly. Only now in the eg it doesn't have the issue at all. Exhaust and mani is 2.5. I use a chipped p28. Engine is again serviced regularly and when swapped I did use a brand new ntk lambda. It's good as gold now.
  9. I've not long set my tps up. Yes you want it to be 0.50v throttle closed. Around 4.5-4.6v no more than 5 throttle fully open. It's the closed reading that is most important Imo and that's where it will get it's starting point for the fueling table. Even if your getting the correct base readings. You need to slowly open the throttle and the increase in voltage should be smooth. No jumping or freezing.
  10. Right it's 220 quid delivered. He doesn't know milage but says it's spot on. Does that sound reasonable?

    Aircon

They don't at our local kwik fit. First place I called when wanted to remove air con. Was like 20 quid or theeeabouts
  12. Ooya bag getting there dude! Look the business
  13. Opinions please. I'm loath to do it.. But I can get my hands on a great s9b gearbox for sensible money. Obviously has lsd which is always a bonus. But longer gears.. Not any decent shorter ratio boxes available in my price range. So what we thinkin? It won't make that much difference. My vtec is 5.5k so shouldn't drop out. Or hold fire wait for shorter box to come along?

You can see if it's pressurised by pressing in one of the valve in the engine bay. There's high and low pressure side. If you've got a leak on the system there will be little or no pressure
  16. Like it sounds like some good l Plans. What engine is in these? Same as mg diesel?? Engine mount are same as the mg v6 by looks of it.
  17. Yeah still there man. Too much money for a box that will probably mess up again In 6 months of abuse. I'll find one.
  18. I've looked into it and it's around 3-400 quid to do bearings and seals. Knowing my luck I'd have It back for a week and a synchro would play up. So I'm happy buying cheap disposable boxes now.
  19. I guess so. One way to look at it lol
  20. Cheers dude. I'm not upset. Hopefully find a cheap Un. I don't think my stage 3 clutch helps. Jolts the box about quite a lot
  21. Ah nowt new really. Getting old Aint it. Had a minor whine In 1st has now become a real nasty whine in all gears and box feels like it slows the car down.
  22. Yeah I been looking at them. I have a fully enclosed rubber one at minute for my note 3. And it's battered now but has done the trick. I left phone on roof of a mates forester XT after fitting a rear arb and exhaust for him. My phone fell off at upwards of 70mph went bouncing down road. Small scuff on corner where case came open but otherwise unscathed!
