  1. Hi mate, good to see you've still got her and the s2k. They've both always been top, and looks like they still are.
  2. Nice spot for the guage bud. Should have got some pics of the transport Will be good being able to get her track ready before you go there.
  3. Cheers Jake, it's appreciated Think it just needs cracking open and checking out.
  4. Never notice it smoking, but think it must do on a cold start as there's a sooty mark on the garage door. Had a compression test done a few months back when it had its service before the mot, and it was a bit down - can't remember how much now, it how many were down (was when I had my brain fog) but my mech wasn't worried (or didn't want to pull the engine apart too fix it ). Would lie compression point to stem seals or just rings? Wonder if a new O2 sensor is needed if it's running rich?
  5. So after a bit of advice. My engine doesn't seem to be as happy as it used to, it feels like it runs out of steam when it gets to 7k. It smells like it's running rich, and when I checked the oil tonight it was pretty filthy, but it's not that long since it had a service. When I pulled the dip stick out there was a smell of exhaust fumes. All sounds like some kind of seals on the way - stem seals? Need to get the dc2 cams in and springs, so that's head off and skim, and will get all new head seals /gaskets - is there anything else to think about?
  6. Little sunset snap on the way to the shop last night. Those photos were taken at the same time.. My phone must have compensated too much on the car pic... Oh well.
  7. Looks tidy mate, nice job on the spacer. Must be for a different dizzy - I got a reconditioned dizzy years ago, and every time I buy a new cap it's slightly too big, so I have to keep buying the caps from the place I got it from to get one that fits. How are you finding the electronic ignition?
  8. Looks ace! I wonder if the various bits and bobs like the body kit, wheels and fogs were added by a previous owner or whether someone went for it with the options list from new.
  9. Nice find - good to see that there's still VTIs knocking about for sale in good nick. Looking really smart. Sits nice on the shocks and springs.
  10. That's done the job pretty well. Good thinking.
  11. I'm pretty sure that ours use PGMFI, but after all the fuel system leaks I've had over the years I'm staying with super unleaded - use it most of the time anyway. Tesco 99 is usually a decent price. I knew that the Mpg was supposed to be worse, but didn't realise it would be that bad! I remember my first car, was a little 205 and that ended up with a tank leak - the new tank was plastic and I thought it was a much better idea. That was back in the 90s. Also ran on 4 star
  12. Hi @Brett There's been some white M's on here over the years, but deffo rare (and great looking). I can think of 2 Decks, but only one hatch off hand.. @hubert had one of each if I remember right.
  13. Nice updates mate.. Looking sweet now with the lip, wheels and drop.
  14. Worst thing about this is that it looks like it was me... Can't remember what the hell this was about, and there's nothing in my project thread about it. Must have been abducted by aliens or something. I'll try and remember what the hell it was all about - I must have sorted it.
  15. Not going to be much help here, but I am positive that someone has had this problem before. Could it be wicking on the seat belt from somewhere rather than dripping on to it?
  16. This was the link from the email. https://rimmerbros.com/c/Rover-400-45-MG-ZS-Sale
