Just googled your part number, and this bearing says it's for mc2, but also that it's compatible with both the part number I found and the one you were given... Seems odd.

Just thought, that part number is for my reg... Would be worth double checking on lings parts to make sure that the part number never changed on a particular year.
-
In case it helps, this was the post on my thread at the time... (click the bit at the top with 25th February on)

About Feb last year. If I had to guess what brand it was I'd say blue print as that's what most of the stuff the mech I use gets from the local place. The oem part number is 42200-S30-C11 if that's of any use. There seems to be some confused info out there in parts catalogues when it comes to the vtis - I've just had shenanigans trying to get brake pad retaining clips. I kept getting given non vti ones.
-
Shims should come with the pads according to this... Just double checked and they're not in the box.
-
Looks nice mate - have you gone for it?
-
Not sure about the brake question mate, but I had an issue with rear bearings as well, but in mine the abs ring was the wrong size (though must admit that I don't think it ever got to the point of checking the stud pattern). I got them from a seller on ebay, but sent them back for a refund - ended up getting them from a local motor factors no problem.
-
Nice bit of modding there matey Be good to see how it turns out.
-
Saw one in barrow on Facebook the other day... Not quite Scotland though.
-
Nice few bits to be getting on with there buddy. Car's looking sweet.
-
Shifter looks good mate. Always nice to get new parts as well.
-
You should be able to get the retainers for DD - in fact I've got a set for the fronts still from euro car parts if you need them? They don't have the spreader ones though, just the ones that seat in the calipers. I've just checked, and my pads haven't got the shims in.
-
Sorry for the late reply mate. Been a long long time since I fitted mine, but from what I can remember there's only really one way it can all go together - I think. I might be finally fitting the brake pad clips today so I'll have a look.
-
Spot on!

Yeah, they're fairly heading upwards like.

Just saw this on face ache https://m.facebook.com/groups/1490055374619145/permalink/2696117694012901/ It's close to me, but I've got nothing to do with it. The guy who's selling it normally breaks cars - mainly honda. Photos aren't the best, and he says in the ad that the engines smoking.
-
Canny little run around - can have a bit of fun in wee cars if the engine lets you rag it What you thinking about getting? Another honda?
-
Well, motor factors said that all of the 7 catalogues for all the big manufacturers have the same part Went to the local Honda dealer, and they confirmed that the clips only come with the pads, so a set of pads was ordered - it's not like I'm not going to need another set of pads ever Have to be sent from Belgium though, so will be end of the week.
-
I know, problem is I looked on lings at the start to get the part number and they don't even list them as a separate part, only with pads which of course are now showing un-flipping-available. Going to have one more try with the motor factors, then probably get in touch with Tegiwa or Japserviceparts to see if they can help.

Doesn't matter, just looked at the workshop manual, and the vti ones are a totally different shape. Non vti Vti I've got the wrong ones again! FFS
-
Before I lose the plot (more) would somebody have a pic of the front caliper on a vti where I can get Good look at how the brake pad retaining clips look when they're fitted? I just went to install the new ones I got from the motor factors, and they're the same size as the ones I got from euro car parts, just these ones have also got the clips that span between the main ones (and these seem like they'll be too short to reach). I just want to check in not being a total divvy.

Hi frazer. Your best bet is the honda workshop manual - you can download it from the downloads section here. That should have all the info you need.
