That looks pretty mean does that! Like it Mpg though... Ouch!

Cool, that's what I worried about - honda ones have done fine for 200k or so, and it's a hassle to have to go stripping things down again to swap them. Yeah, got the type r inlet springs, so will be getting some jiggery pokery with them. Not sure if my stem seals are a bit past it as well - get a wee bit of smoke when it's a cold start.

Feels like it is going to be itr cam time soon, and thinking about gaskets. I think I know the answer to this, but worth asking the question.... Stick with oem honda gaskets, or are after market ones any good? Honda head gasket kit from tegiwa is £215 https://www.tegiwaimports.com/genuine-honda-upper-head-gasket-kit-b-series-b18c4.html Full rebuild kit from Japserviceparts is £108, but not honda parts. https://japserviceparts.co.uk/product/honda-civic-vti-b18c4-full-engine-rebuild-gasket-kit/

Can you make it so the head unit doesn't sit so far back in the console? Would that help?- 924 replies

Aw man, that sucks. Don't blame you for not wanting to start chopping the metal out behind the dash, I wouldn't fancy it either. Plan b sounds good though.- 924 replies

As far as I understand it, the red key is only for use for reprogramming the immobiliser, and shouldn't be used. I've copied some pages from the workshop manual that might help. I think that you're going to need a new set of keys though, not sure how you go about learning the keys (might be a honda job) or maybe getting some used keys with a matching immobiliser system?

Yeah, I do use them very occasionally, but they're so bloody awkward to use. Some big four ones for water bottles would be handy - I know someone made some of them once. Might look into doing that.- 924 replies

Ah, that's similar to what I had on my konis. Nice one. Won't work with the standard style shock I've got now though. Cheers for sharing bud.

Good stuff mate. Have you got any pics? I've got a similar problem to solve.

Lips look nice mate.. The front end is looking pretty mean now with those tints as well.

Amazing work Dave - will be good to see it installed in its glory. I've often wondered about this integra cup holders about whether they'd fit - look like they'll be so much better to use than those ones in the arm rest.- 924 replies

That's a relief... Still a bugger though. A guy from work has a Caterham, and had a sheared bolt in the block.. He was really sweating on drilling it out. He got some of those bolt extractors, and a reverse pitch drill bit, and luckily the drill bit got it out without needing to use the extractors.- 924 replies
