  1. I've got 17s on my deck - I can't remember anyone fitting 18s before though.
  2. Looks smart mate. The engine bay is super tidy
  3. Happy days mate. Got to get another one of those done when things get sorted.
  4. Happy birthday chief! Some fancy bits and bobs for Mindy there
  5. Could you not use your new console with one of the ones with a single din back? Then it would be almost as you planned?
  6. It's a shame you can't get a head unit something like the sat nav version of the accord one where there's a big screen, but at the rear it's more like a single din https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184735204421
  7. It's much better than the paper thin ones in the roof of the deck that's for sure Yeah, be good to catch up with where you got to with the BM
  8. So turns out that the cabin pollen filter for an MG zs is not the same as for an M... It's much bigger. Even bigger than the plastic tray that the oem one fits in. Every time I've changed the filter, the one I've got has had to go in instead of the tray, rather than in it, and since the honda one isn't available (at least on lings), I thought I'd give the MG one a bash. Got one from euro car parts instead (still didn't fit in the tray though) and hoovered out years and years of leaves and crap. Fans sound much happier now
  9. They are a bit of a nightmare are those cables... Not much to play with when you're moving stuff around. Shame that the double din conversion hasn't worked out, you did a good job on the centre console. At least it kept you out of trouble for a bit Hopefully someone will be interested in the console - wouldn't have a clue about a price, but maybe be easier to price as a package with the head unit if you're shifting that as well.
  10. Finished it off tonight.. Pleased that the amp still worked - haven't used it since it was in my eg about 15+ years ago. Wiring could do with some tidying up still, but she lives!
  11. Spent a few hours this afternoon crawling around wiring the amp in and installing the old Bluetooth adapter in its proper home instead of all being in the glove box. No pictures coz there isn't much to see as its all hidden, and I was racing a thunderstorm Still got to hook up to the battery as I'm waiting for a connector to arrive, but at least the cable has found its way into the engine bay.
  12. Just double checked here and it's the same... https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-cars/CIVIC-AERODECK/1998/18VTI/STEERING-BRAKE-SUSPENSION/REAR-BRAKE-DISK-/17S1E01/B__1910/4/8339 Are the rear calipers the same for all models with disks...
  13. Is that the Beemer Ali? Have you not got a thread on it anymore?be good to see some pics
  14. Cheers bud. What was it that cracked - the cap out the arm? Yeah, very true... Will probably be always something else that ends up being on the list. Tbh, the speed that I'm getting stuff done at the minute is super slow, so it will never be finished
  15. Finally got round to putting the rear strut brace in... The holes in the trim aren't as neat as I hoped for (not in the right place at first). Was going to try and find some type of gator to fit over, so definitely need to now. Never had the brace and trim in tubs at the same time because of that pesky water leak. Now just need to wire the amp up, but rain has well and truly stopped play. Also wanged a new dizzy cap and rotor on today. Little things.
  16. First milestone with the new chassis. That makes 216,237 miles on the engine
  17. That looks pretty mean does that! Like it Mpg though... Ouch!
  18. Cool, that's what I worried about - honda ones have done fine for 200k or so, and it's a hassle to have to go stripping things down again to swap them. Yeah, got the type r inlet springs, so will be getting some jiggery pokery with them. Not sure if my stem seals are a bit past it as well - get a wee bit of smoke when it's a cold start.
  19. Feels like it is going to be itr cam time soon, and thinking about gaskets. I think I know the answer to this, but worth asking the question.... Stick with oem honda gaskets, or are after market ones any good? Honda head gasket kit from tegiwa is £215 https://www.tegiwaimports.com/genuine-honda-upper-head-gasket-kit-b-series-b18c4.html Full rebuild kit from Japserviceparts is £108, but not honda parts. https://japserviceparts.co.uk/product/honda-civic-vti-b18c4-full-engine-rebuild-gasket-kit/
