  1. Looks ace! I wonder if the various bits and bobs like the body kit, wheels and fogs were added by a previous owner or whether someone went for it with the options list from new.
  2. Nice find - good to see that there's still VTIs knocking about for sale in good nick. Looking really smart. Sits nice on the shocks and springs.
  3. That's done the job pretty well. Good thinking.
  4. I'm pretty sure that ours use PGMFI, but after all the fuel system leaks I've had over the years I'm staying with super unleaded - use it most of the time anyway. Tesco 99 is usually a decent price. I knew that the Mpg was supposed to be worse, but didn't realise it would be that bad! I remember my first car, was a little 205 and that ended up with a tank leak - the new tank was plastic and I thought it was a much better idea. That was back in the 90s. Also ran on 4 star
  5. Hi @Brett There's been some white M's on here over the years, but deffo rare (and great looking). I can think of 2 Decks, but only one hatch off hand.. @hubert had one of each if I remember right.
  6. Nice updates mate.. Looking sweet now with the lip, wheels and drop.
  7. Worst thing about this is that it looks like it was me... Can't remember what the hell this was about, and there's nothing in my project thread about it. Must have been abducted by aliens or something. I'll try and remember what the hell it was all about - I must have sorted it.
  8. Not going to be much help here, but I am positive that someone has had this problem before. Could it be wicking on the seat belt from somewhere rather than dripping on to it?
  9. This was the link from the email. https://rimmerbros.com/c/Rover-400-45-MG-ZS-Sale
  10. Ah, I thought that even the non vti hatch had one but smaller... That explains why it won't fit the non vti deck then.
  11. Sucks about the wheel bearing mate - can't have had that many miles on it?
  12. I would have thought so as well, but don't know for certain. I've got a feeling that Rob @kyekye09 had an mc1 and had an arb if you can find his project thread. Going back some time there mind. Maybe @Dave can remember. Actually, Dave, does DD have one?
  13. Just seen that there's a sale on mgzs / rover 400 & 45 parts on rimmerbros.com at the mo of anyone needs any of the parts that are the same.
  14. Shame that you're having to break it, but at least you're still going to have some fun with it. Wouldn't know what a full kit would go for, but I'd be wanting in the hundreds for it when you think of what you would have to pay for the parts separately?
  15. Splitter looks good in gloss. Looking more stealthy and moody nowadays chief.
  16. So turns out that the port on the IM is the same size as the TB. Guess that the IM must have had a step up in size, which I think is supposed to be a benefit - oh well.
  17. Car's at the garage today for something that I've been meaning to get done for ages - getting the intake mani ported to match the dc2 throttle body. I don't know if it really needs it, but although the bigger throttle body made a nice difference to throttle response and acceleration generally, I had a nagging feeling that it was struggling at higher revs after the butterflies opened, compared to before (or compared to lower in the rev range anyway), and figured that it was because there was a step that the air was having to force past. Might make loads of difference or none... Who knows It's at AK Automotive, which is the place that do loads of mx5 stuff and have a race team. When I dropped the car off yesterday, I had to laugh at this sticker on the back of this track mx5
