  1. Iirc, mb4 is on disks around, and with it being an auto it will hammer the brakes, tell her to use the hand brake as it will sieze up, and for an auto these are bloody quick.
  2. Yep true story, snapped it in half...

  4. I know the A9 has had a 50mph limit for hgv's for a while, but the new limit only effects England and Wales, Scotland has not got the new limits...
  5. yeah, same here, but long single carriageway roads are so much nicer to drive on when you're doing 50, over 40...
  6. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/farmers-set-to-benefit-from-increase-in-tractor-weights-and-speeds old news, they got 5mph increase, and 6.61 ton increase in max gross weight...
  7. it didn't seem to be that well publicised for some weird reason, but a major change on speed limits happened on the 1st of april... https://movingon.blog.gov.uk/reminder-hgv-speed-limit-changes-in-england-and-wales/ the laws dating from the invention of the wheel, have been altered to allow hgvs to travel at a higher limit. single carriageways, when the national speed limit is enforced , this has been increased from 40mph to 50mph. duel carriageways, when the national speed limit is enforced, the limit has been increased from 50mph to 60mph. personally, i have noticed a difference, but found it was still the foreign vehicles that were still doing the old limits, and there still seem to be a few people who still do 40.. has anyone else noticed, and do you think its a good idea?
  8. lol, any updates on the bidding war then?
  9. I'm planning on doing the Scotland meet in Jun, so I could get it of off tom and bring it the rest of the way for you.
  10. Yeah, more than likely gonna be a hub off job, that's a poor job by the garage for knackering the stud, and not spotting the tie rod..
  11. Hmm, will have to try that, I forgot the ptfe tape, but found a rubber o ring that's just the right size to sit in the lip of the tube, it seems to have stopped most of the oil, will just have to keep an eye on it..
  12. £80, that's bloody cheap for the work that needs to be done, when I was working in a car garage (couple of years ago now, now work on hgv's) we charged 150 for fitting lowering springs to an astra, and he supplied them as well!
  13. Unsurprisingly I've tried the hammer already, I've got some ptfe tape kicking around, I'll have a play with it on Saturday after work while changing the oil.
  14. right, i've had my car for 3 years now, and the dipstick tube has always been loose, but a couple of months ago it came out of the block when i went to the check the oil, the tube came out with the dipstick. i ordered a new tube from honda, fitted it and it was still loose, but a bit better. but now its even worse, and it leaks oil from it cos of crankcase pressure, does anyone have any idea of what's going on or how to fix it?
  15. still waiting on mine, hopefully it'll be here tomorrow...
  16. well i need this pressure washer to make my life easier when i get asked to wash this, yeah a class 20 diesel loco, it can take a while to do it with a hose pipe and a sponge...
  17. That's looks like oil out of a diesel engine, that filter is well past it, if it is true what you've said, i'd be changing the rest of the filters asap, air, fuel and pollen probably won't have been done...shocking
