  1. all i can say, is good look with the sale, and wow, thats some service history....
  2. fucking hell, was there no other honda's that could of had one in it?
  3. The other Phil is in a better position to answer than me, (not done an mot test since 2013), but from what I remember it may not even be advised on. I think it's only abs and Srs lamps that can fail an mot test.
  4. To be honest, the damage has already been done, the grease has gotten out, and dirt has gotten in, it'll only be a matter of time before it starts knocking, so either replace the C.V. Joint or replace the shaft. J+R do shafts for 35 quid so you can't go wrong with them.
  5. See its not just me that's had issues with mtec disks, I pulled mine off a couple of months ago due to them being warped.
  6. a couple of years ago, myself @Krzys and @Mr Brown went up to scotland, on one of our epic one day trips... anyway, we were leaving ferrybridge services when one thing led to another, and i was pipped to post by mr brown.... krzys wasn't far behind...
  7. Nice to hear the mot pass, silica gel? Thats a new one on me, I take it, it works well?, as for insurance, did you give sky or Adrian flux a ring, as they do give a discount for civic5 members.
  8. Looks good! I'll be putting my all seasons back on in the next couple of weeks, just waiting for the temperature to drop below 10c to make the most of them..

    drive shafts

I'm not sure if there the same (I'd like to think they are) but if you can wait, J+R do drive shafts at a damn good price
  10. Wounded, sad to hear your selling up, I hope the new owner will enjoy the car, your still gonna come to the civic5 meets?
  11. No I'm not, got a few bits to do to in in a few weeks. The rear trailing arm bush's and the bottom ball joints are squeaking.
  12. Bit of an update, the week started with the NSF brake smoking rather well, que one siezed caliper, £60 for a reconditioned one and when I returned the knackered one, I got £13 back. Well happy. Night time driving has also become a lot easier now as well... There bloody bright, on the bright side (see what I did there?) people seem to drop to dipped beam a lot quicker now.... And I put the car in for mot today, it passed, not bad for 15 years old and 195500 miles..and it's done 16500 miles since its last mot...
  13. I was soo tempted to do that with mine, as I had both cars there to do it...
  14. Congratulations @Dave and @Gayle
  15. I have uniroyal RS3s fitted. Awesome tyre, they give so much confidence in wet and dry conditions it's unreal.
  16. A short shifter will make it worse...
  17. Here ya go, lights at night... And in other news, its not long ticked over to 194000 miles...
  18. When was it last serviced? And a proper service, I.e oil all the filters, spark plugs, distributer cap, rotor arm plug leads etc, and once that is confirmed as done/ok, do an ecu reset, it should be like a different engine.
  19. that photos was taken ages ago, probably round Christmas, when i was on call, its an old one as the red truck behind the car is now in Africa, enjoying a working retirement
  20. had them on now for about 200 miles, and impressions are good, both dry and wet, forgot to mention that they are XL rated aswell, they ride a lot softer than the yokohama's as well.
  21. ahh, cafe aerodeck, its now made several appearances at car shows now. as for mods, it's now got USDM indicators with thanks to @Chandler, LED side light bulbs and for something different, i've attached an led light bar below the number plate, which is wired in to the sidelights, so at night it looks awesome. I've also got hold of some headlight protectors aswell, at a very good price aswell! the yokohama tyres have now been replaced with uniroyal RS3's' which have done 200 miles or so, and are looking quite promising on the grip front, and the ride has improved as well with the softer sidewall. and one random shot
