  1. Someone had that issue just recently, not sure if they cleaned them up and put back in or replaced? But if they are cheap enough you might as well replace dude!
  2. Yeah I'll wait for Rich's input! I don't think supercharging has the same DET issues as turbocharging? I'm probably wrong though but that's why I'm asking! If it was a case of forged pistons and rods to do the job then that would be spot on! I already know what I want to do top end! I just need to know what bottom end components need strengthening so that she'll be reliable! Would rather do it once and do it right!
  3. Thats true don't know why i put so much time and effort into something that i see now and again lol You've got that bonnet up at every oppotunity! Thats true don't know why i put so much time and effort into something that i see now and again lol bit like a womans   Spend a lot of time and money too!
  4. Would you say they would be needed for supercharging?
  5. Right then, been looking around the net as you do, notice that when people turbo their Civic's they go on about Darton sleeves. I know they go in the block, but some daft questions are about to come Do you need different sized pistons? I assume it'll need running in either way? Also are there any other benefits to them?
  6. If you could get an EK9 gear box that would be good as it has LSD, though I think you can fit an LSD to the EK4 box....I think!
  7. Oooooooo looking forward to hearing the results of this! I'm tempted to get hold of a 5th gear for mine! Did it cost much for the part?
  8. Doh! Hopefully you'll get them sorted soon then
  9. Wow this is so cool! Perfect for the "Low & Slow" scene! This is the sort of car you stick cool gadgets on rather than go faster mods!
  10. Isn't it all electronic now? You can do it all online but if the car isn't insured you can't do it at all
  11. Ah that old bag of tricks, I hate it has to be done in order, insured and then Taxed, wasting money paid to insurance as you can't tax before you have the certificate unless you get email a cover note straight away!
  12. So two with new wheels, one with new skirts and intake and a potential non Honda if James gets his way
  13. Don't use the red key in the ignition or you'll completely immobilise the car and Honda will have to sort which means lots of £££ in bills!
  14. I wouldn't even dream of doing it DIY, I've seen how they come and has me running for the hills before it's out of the box
  15. Awesome Changed the sig after I sold Knight my wang
  16. Yeah that would be good! There's a project thread where someone has got twin pot calipers from a legend on!

    Smokey!

Is it smoking loads? Also white smoke, blue smoke?
  18. I'd have thought the piping would be a different size on the D series engined Civics? I could be wrong though.
  19. I think there's one or two on here that ordered them for the 96-00 (EK) Civic and got them to fit.
  20. Interesting! But when you got hold of the LS 5th gear, I take it you just get the main shaft gear and now the countershaft gear as well?
  21. That's common on a lot of Civic's according to my brother, I trust him as he did work for Honda for 9 years First thing he did when I got my Civic back home was stick it on a ramp and tighten up the sump bolts!
