Have you looked for rust holes on the bulkhead as these cars have been known to rust out on the inner arch and then bulkhead allowing water from the road in could be worth checking

Sounds like a stone stuck between the disc and the crud gard i had it all ya have to do is figure out the which one n jack the car up n spin the wheel backwards till it comes out if not then its the discs n pads

The rover ones are a strip n the honda is a complete ring it'll have to be a dealer visit if lings are out

There is a mb6 with rivit on drift style arches somewhere in here and a nice one from abroad with a nice flare job

Yeah 17s do look good but 16s are better for handling and i managed a 75mm drop on 16s with the arches rolled

Yep sounds like a ball joint make sure you replace both sides together they last longer that way
