  2. Hi all, So I can confirm aftermarket seats, without cutting frames or welding mounts to car, are completely possible. If you have read my before method with the universal frames this way is a lot easier and more cost effective. After 3 months of research I found a company called Planted Technology, they produced made to order seat sub frames for many cars. I emailed them to ensure my car was not an EK or an EG. I measured up the cars holes and got back the details of the closest fit frames they make. The Honda Accord 4th & 5th gen have the same interior as the MB3/MB6. I took a risk bought the frames and they do in fact directly fit. I admit it was a bit of a fiddle as they had to come from America so may have been slightly warped or bent on delivery, never the less I got them in as seen in the image below Here is a link to the main page, it would better off ordering them from GSM performance Planted Technology https://www.plantedtechnology.com/products/planted-seat-bracket-honda-accord-4th-5th-generation-1989-1997-passenger-right GSM performance https://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/product/planted-honda-accord-bracket/ Things to consider, these frames do not come with threads. M12 Nuts will be needed to fit seatbelts, M8 Nuts and bolts to fit seats to rails or frames, washers highly recommended
  3. Hi guys. We've just added a new feature to the forum, Popular Contributors. You should see a box at the bottom of the home page (depending on the device you are using) which shows our most popular contributors. You can change it from week to month and year. If you click on the "see more" this will give a full list of contributors. Don't see your name on it? Get posting! We love to hear from you, even if it's just a small update on your cars projet thread or posting a pic of your car. Have look through the different sections of the forum and see if there's maybe a question been asked that you can help with. Most of all, enjoy the forum. It's your club and site!
  4. Hey there, I downloaded the Civic manual as I was looking for the bolt sizes and torque requirements for fitting. the LCA bolts are 14x1.5mm but it doesn't say what length they are? I need bolts for the compliance bushing that bolts into the chassis. picture below does anyone know the length of these bolts ? Kind regards
  5. So life after civic.. Ive got myself a Toyota Crown Athlete V. Ive fancied one for a long time now. General consensus from my friends and family is that its an ugly barge, however i absolutely love it. Each to there own i guess. It pretty tidy for 22. Under 40k miles on the clock. It has a 1jz gte turbo lump which pushes it along really nicely tbh with plenty of room for more power later if wanted. Came on stock wheels which really made it look old. So first things first. Some work sporbo wheels on there looking nice lowered on BC coilovers. Few small maintenance items ordered. And some little cosmetic bits from a breaker too.
  6. Hi guys, this is my 1.5i LE MB3 Civic, I purchased it back in June of 2021 and recently passed my test a couple weeks back, the car is wonderful and the spec is great. Does anybody have any information about the LE package? Seems to be the same as the LS just that they were only produced in '98. If anyone has any information about this spec it would be greatly appreciated :)
  7. This appeared on ebay recently. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394417810525 It has a W prefix plate, but according to the MOT check site was registered 26th January 2001. The listing doesn't mention it being a personal plate. As far as I can tell, it should be on an X prefix plate if it was first registered on that date. https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/results?registration=w215xae
  8. Was reading my Classic Car Weekly and one of the readers had put their car forward for the "value my car" section where they get an idea what their car is worth according to the experts. There was a 98 Rover sterling with around 60K on the clock and most of its history. They recon the value is around 3.5 to 4K and advised to get an agreed value policy on it. Same year (almost) as DD and know quite a few of our Civic M's are either 1999 or older so got me wondering if anyone here has ventured into the agreed value route yet with their Civic. I'm thinking of asking them for a value on DD just out of curiosity, as know the tossers at WeBuyAnyCar dot con (where most insurance companies base their values on now) value her at around £250! Which would maybe buy the alloys and bugger all else! Just with them getting pretty rare now, thinking surely the values (that they are actually worth) have gone up now? Don't want to get caught out if the worst happens so deffo thinking about the agreed value policy. Anyone got one on theirs and if so what value did you get agreed?

  10. Going to keep an eye on this one as a bit of a barometer for where prices are. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255781375932?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=XAhmLVQZT5S&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=VPkI41u3Sse&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Nowt to do with me by the way, just saw it on Facebook.

Just been reading this https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/technology/near-zero-emission-rotary-engine-could-extend-life-ices Sounds amazing - be good to see them start being used.
  12. Sorry I’ve been missing in action, just been so busy I knew the FR was going to cost me money to pass the MOT. I can’t complain 210,000 miles but was looking untidy. David kept on at me to get a Jazz. My response “there for old folk” well fast forward a few weeks and hey presto meet my 66 plate 1.3 Jazz EX Navi. I absolutely love it. Can get 3 kids in the back (not mine) and the seat system is brilliant how it folds. No mods yet! Got wind deflectors to go on, waiting on tailored mats and then need to sort the wheels as 1 is badly scuffed. Not sure on whether to have them refurbed or save up for black ones.
  13. Wondering anyone have any tips to why my boot wont close its not the latch or receiver. I got new ones and connect but when i screw the latch receiver down and close the boot it just wont close, but i do notice the latch receiver wont stay in place it falls down. Also when i close the boot feel like it shifts from left to right which makes me think its the boot supports but the seem fine. And ideas would be great. Thank you. Its the only thing thats wrong with my mb6
  14. Interesting if this became a mainstream thing... Carbon neutral fuel with a power boost for a minimal cost. (assumes using hydrogen produced using renewable energy though). https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/technology/under-skin-carbon-neutral-fuel-also-cleans-air
  15. Hi ya'll this is my "new" MB2 Civic. Just bought it two days ago, and it only got about 90.000 kilometres on it. It's still very stock aside from electric windows (that I wanna replace with Ganador mirrors). My first objective is to get new wheels/rims, like atleast 15 inch, and find the MB2 OEM spoiler (if that even exists), and if not find something else that would fit without looking too ''off''. Then I'm planning to get a shortshifter, perhaps some body work too like a lip kit (but don't know what will fit for sure... maybe anyone can help?). And as soon as it's looking clean, I want to perhaps replace d14 heads with d16 heads (maybe even turbo it afterwards), coilovers, and as last maybe wrap it or something. Cheers!
  16. Was browsing the web and stumbled across this site. Know our Civic Aerodecks are getting harder to find for sale in the UK, but in other parts of Europe it seems they are still plenty for sale (and the prices are surprising considering the mileages!) Honda Civic Aero Deck used cars, Price and ads | Reezocar Just a pity they're all LHD
  17. Don't know what's happening to me but I'm quickly changing teams and have a new love for Toyota. Hilux surf joined the family last year and now have recently got an Alphard as a daily. I absolutely love it. However seems to have mixed opinions amongst my friends, obviously some of them don't get the JDM life. Gonna be a small project this one. Fixing niggles. And some maintenance. Few upgrades and some nice wheels at some point soon. Start with some pics of the beast.
  18. I had a look at MBs on Auto Trader earlier today as I often do. There are currently only three advertised on there for sale in the entire UK. That was using the search criteria "Honda Civic, Years 1995 to 2000". With how many were around a few years ago, this suggests they are rapidly disappearing. I don't think I see as many on the road around London now as I did even 2 or 3 years ago.
  19. Hello Guys Just thought i would give you an update on the ol' MB6 Project. Ive been very busy as of recent sourcing panels for the restoration. Im very chuffed to find some Genuine Body panels including the Whole Upper sill and rear outer arch. Alongside that i have also sourced some Rear inner arch Extension panels where the Sills Meet the Wheel Arch. Unfortunately the Lower/Inner Sill section was no where to be found alongside the front outriggers but thats not an issue at all. i will be starting to Fabricate some New Lower/Inner Sill sections as if you don't know already the Civic MA/MB has Three Segments to the lower sill. The First part being the Front Jacking point section which starts at the sill then wraps itself round the front chassis legs and subframe mounts. Then there is the Middle section where the Front seatbelts are Anchored to. This section is Spot welded to the floor pan to create a sandwich effect (lovely rust trap btw). The Panel Itself is an L Shape as it also forms apart of the inner sill as its all one pressing. Thankfully the rust has not spread up into the vertical section of the panel as the rust has only ate away at the lower part probably due to all the water being trapped there. and Finally the Last segment being the Rear Sill Extension assembly which contains the rear jacking points and the Semi Trailing arm bush mounting. With Fabricating these lower segments it is pretty simple Its just a 90 Degree bend with a flange where the outer skin is spot welded to. With Rover at the time having a Partnership with Honda Luckily the 400 and 45 is the same car in terms of bodywork pretty much. Hence why i have bought Rover sills and Rover Inner Arches (they're probably cheaper too) and they will do the same job. Part Numbers if needed ALA120220 for the Side Panel (do note the side panel is a saloon not a hatchback as they are no longer available.) ALX140020 and ALX140030 for the Rear inner arches. The idea will be to chop the sill segment and rear arch segment off the genuine panel and to replace what is the rotten part on my Civic. With this i can maintain the original pressings of the panel such as the grommet holes. Hopefully in the New year i can get round to producing the Inner sill segments to be used.
  20. Merry xmas and a happy newyear for when it comes
