  1. Right so I went to the car and noticed something odd, the door handle where it meets the door is loose, I'm wondering if there's a way to tighten it up at all? its not the actual handle bit its the whole part the handle is attached too (outside car), I havent had the door card off yet to look but wondered if there was any info on it
  2. I read in the owners manual that you can have the centre two dash vents bypassing the heater so can have the temperature up but still having cold air coming out blowing onto your face, does that make sense? The two vents above the clock has that little switch on it? Does anyone elses actually do anything?
  3. Thought I best move this out of General Chat and start a thread in Members Cars.. I'm bloody shattered lol Have been cleaning all day! More pics to follow, I'm sat in lounge atm with the two front seats on coffee table and a tub of black leather restorer I just keep getting evils time to get dirty! *again*
  4. Hi, I'm changing the headunit in my MB4 because the old one wasn't working properly. The screen would fall out intermittently and when touched, it would turn off. I bought a new JVC unit which is very nice, but I cannot seem to make it fit. It's as if the wires or something else perhaps is blocking it from seating correctly in the DIN slot. Needs like 1-2 more cm to sit properly and lock in place. I tried literally everything i can do without tearing the interior apart, because I cant figure out how the interior is put together. I'd happily accept any advice as to how I can make my new head unit fit. Also, I noticed that when I adjust my cluster bulb lights they flicker, nothing severe, just wanted to mention it. And also, is the clock in the center console (above head unit) supposed to be unlit? I cant see anything in the evening/night on it. During the daytime its fine. Hope you guys can help me - Fred.
  5. Hi, I am looking to upgrade all of my stock speakers in my mb3 but need some answers first please. I am aware that the rears are 4" and the fronts are 6" and it is possible to get tweeters for the mirror blanks (something I will do) but what I am struggling with is speaker choices. So tweeters will be stock ones from a vtis, that much I'm pretty sure of. For the doors is it better to have 2-way or components? Any crossover issues when using stock tweeters? For the rears, the same question, component or two-way? I don't want to have to modify anything really, would just like direct fitment. Also not wanting to use an amp Thanks guys l, I know it's a lot of questions but new to civics and clueless with car audio
  6. So I posted (now deleted) a thread recently entitled "JJ's Single Cammer Slammer" with a silver 1.4 MB, Shes gone and I've got me a black 1.4 Sport and a little money my way.. Shes a bit rough around the edges but nothing a little TLC can't fix. Plans are still the same, Lower, Faster and Lighter! but now I have half my work already done (I was pricing up black gloss resprays...) first things first, the giant ships wheel HAS to go... EG/DC2 boss ordered! Vertex wheel will be on ASAP and a nice weighty kn0b It has the half leather seats all round, A Kenwood bluetooth stereo, Vibe speakers. Gonna dig out the DSLR, Autoglym and give the old girl a polish tomorrow!
  7. Just joined the forum a couple of weeks ago when I got into the Honda game, needed a cheap run around with decent mpg so bought my mates MB3. Which is the 1.5 sport vtec-e so only £12 something tax and a healthy mpg figure. I've been over on the new members section but thought I would start a thread here for any updates and of course pictures As it belonged to a friend I wasn't too worried about it but knew it would need a few things, here are a couple pictures from when I went to look at it.
  8. Hello Everyone, I've got to change my O2 sensor for the exhaust manifold one. I don't really want to buy a £250 one from dealers. I've tried to look around and best I found was this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181503439204 NGK one (NGK0299) - OZA333-H26, Can someone tell me if this will suffice? Its for a Mc1 aerodeck 1.6 vtec 125 D16W4 engine. Some places I see 4 or 5 pin. 500m, 650mm, 350mm ,320mm. My car is a 1999 if that helps. I have tried the search but couldn't find a solid answer. Any more questions please fire them my way Many Thanks
  9. Does anyone know oil capacity of a d15z8 gearbox please? Got the car booked in for a clutch change but they want an extra £25 to change the gearbox oil at the same time, just trying to work out if this is good value for money or not Thanks
  10. HONDA CIVIC EJ/EK (Type-r 1996-1998) front grille to MB1 (and MA8-MA9) (pre face-lift). Will it fit? Thanks
  11. MB1 disc brakes (hubs+rotors+discs, 262 mm front – 239mm rear) upgrade to MB6 (282mm front – 260 mm rear) Can it be done?

  13. Hi guys, some of you may remember my previous M's... http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/7C3A7163-B5D6-471B-ABC8-ABF95F3FFBE0_zpszrm3cjug.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/A641B62F-7213-4D00-9D4A-B77FEAFB4700_zpsz6eurzgs.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/2418819E-E1E6-4049-B6CF-FFA30DAD7637_zpsuv0xeepx.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/EB1F4B48-F648-49AF-9291-D97BD626B78E_zpsef4drzej.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/7FC741DF-EA2F-45D4-8D9F-87A13A531920_zps377yuul2.jpg[/IMG] swapped my aerodeck a wee while back for a facelift ek coupe. Spent a bit time tidying it up and preparing it for a b series engine swap (my old c4 from the mb6 which dropped a valve and needing rings) but when browsing Facebook one day I found a preface lift coupe with a b16 conversion and some other tasty parts for sale local, and cheap. I bought that, sold my facelift coupe and spent a bit time sorting some of the bodges on the new coupe. Then when browsing Facebook again lol I came across a nicely spec'd mb6 which was also fairly local for a good price. The guy I bought the coupe off was eager to buy it back so I said if he gave me what the mb6 was going for then we could do a deal, which he jumped at. After driving the mb6 I knew I had to have it, I felt right at home. I prefer the styling of the m civics and I feel their very underrated which makes them more appealing to me a ma brief spec on the new mb6 is... There is one issue with the gearbox/or linkage. It become stiff and hard to remove/engage gears when it's warm. Iv replaced the oil but this hasn't made much difference. Next I'm going to change the short shifter and linkage to see if this helps. Apart from that it's a joy to drive. I plan on adding my own wee touches to the car and just generally tidy bits up. heres a couple pics I snapped when I bought 2 weeks ago... http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/E1C11B16-5D24-457E-A9F5-02387C2D5887_zpsqko4agqq.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/1596DC20-54E7-47ED-B2C0-F3F1084F7357_zpseliwx1ri.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/7713D1EA-23BF-4445-BFAD-525A77151969_zpsqoe0j0lk.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/998D6822-7D42-4F1C-86A2-4E0141945666_zpsgtxe5xuj.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/1EB54978-8515-4721-B625-1D1EE069CEF8_zpsptorhdfv.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/6888605E-F6D6-40D5-BE10-CD32F1141CB1_zpsihpgyudz.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/54BDEF81-5818-421A-B292-C374F2E1E09E_zpsjbej18bt.jpg[/IMG]
  14. Do you guys think 185/55R15 is fine on 7.5 rim? My registration document has 185 as optional for 15". Although original 15" wheels are 6" wide. I need a little stretch because my new wheels come 10-15 mm. past the arches. Also i need 3mm spacers at front. Those big calipers of MB6
  15. Hi guys, New pads and discs fitted to the rears which is nice, but pretty certain the rear right is seized. Pretty much no wear on the disc and it's been over a week! also, the handbrake cable adjustment bit is super wonky. So was looking at overhauling the calipers and cable in a oner. Looking at parts that fit, am I right in thinking these calipers will fit? There's the bonus of getting £15 back as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-OF-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPERS-To-Fit-ROVER-COUPE-45-200-400-240mm-Disc-/371263950968?hash=item56710e5078:g:iIYAAOSwWTRWxVtK it's an MB3 240mm disc. As for handbrake cables, are they always sold left and right separately, rather than just the one cable? And why would one side be more expensive than the other? Only talking a couple of quid here, but surely there's no difference?
  16. Here is my mb6 just recently got, At the moment it's on Koni shocks and springs, full Nortech exhaust and on 7th of may having my b18c6 fitted will upload more photos when the car is being to show you all the build Rocker cover is actually a lot darker than pictured
  17. MB6 Front lip on an MB1 (and MA8-MA9) bumper. Yes, it can be done with a little modification. I think, my refinishing man cut a short portion at the centre of lip, then he joined the 2 pieces and he screwed them directly on the bumper without any problem.

  23. What is the best way to access the big RTA bushes without taking the arm completely off? I have seen a YouTube video where they drop the back end by undoing a few bolts and making sure the brake hose is not stretched too far but have also read a suggestion of simply taking off the 'bolt at the front' and the handbrake cable bolt which sounds easier. Which bolt at the front would that be; the inner or outer one (I think the inner is the toe adjustment so maybe not that one but perhaps the outer is not accessible?) and has anyone done the job by just removing the 'front' bolt and handbrake bolts only? (obviously in both cases the two bushing bolts have to come out).
  24. Our Honda Civic MA MB MC buyers guide page is back. We have rebuilt the page and it's now ready to use. It can be found by either clicking the "Buyers guide" section of the forum. It's also been added to the main browse menu for convenience. We hope you find it useful. We will also be creating a word document version soon and will add it to our downloads section so it's easy to print off and take with you when viewing a car to buy.
