  1. congrats andrew! your decks looking amazing! very close one this month!
  2. Wow!! Loved it on the old rims, but have to admit, from that photo, it looks amazing!! Really suits them mate! I loved Robs deck on that rim aswell, decks seem to carry it off soooooo well! Stunning mate!
  3. Latest wee update on the deck! Dawn decided it was high time the deck got some protection! So got in touch with Auto Security Systems (edinburgh) ( http://www.autosecuritysystems.co.uk) and got a nice new Autowatch Thatcham cat 1 alarm fitted. Lots of nice wee features on it, and lots of upgrades available if she wants later on. She's going to add the tracker feature to it too, probably after the new year. The remotes cool as it works from a good distance away from the car, much better than the stoopid standard Honda remote! lol As a bonus, the warning LED is even blue to match the deck! It's one of the high intensity blue ones, and lights up the inside of the car at night when it flashes! Should put of most wannabe joyriders/thieves! Highly recommend Auto Security Systems Edinburgh (aka as Car alarms Edinburgh). Top company to deal with, very friendly and helpful staff and can have it fitted at their premises or at your home/work. Very punctual and reliable too! Give em a call if your looking to get an alarm for yours or to upgrade to a newer one. Contact them on the link above or on FreePhone 0800 1223 156. Tell Ross Dawn and me from Civic5 sent you
  4. Cheers Gary! The sunroof deflector came from Honda. We both ordered them up off the new/old stock list a good few years ago, one for dawns deck and one for my MA8 civic 5 door. I went and left mine on the MA when I sold it, so wish I'd taken it off now! Not sure if you can still get them now from Honda, so give Grey from John Banks Honda a PM in the traders section bud. You can still get a/m ones on ebay and the likes though ( I think!)
  5. What a bargain mater!!!! That's a cracker of a VTiS, especially as it hasnt been modded (means you wont spend time removing/sorting someones mods) The deck should sell quickly, good MC2's are getting hard to find.
  6. See thats the thing with getting interiors done, there are only really the big professional companies out there that do it. So any retrim is gonna cost big bucks, but like you say, if yo want it done right you have to pay the price. There might have been a cheaper company out there to do it, although we didn't find any. But have to say that I doubt a cheaper company would have done the same job, honestly, Transcals attention to detail is amazing. Ruby will be next! lol (need to start saving me pennies! )
  7. Checked last on way to work as it got me thinking! You're right enough mate, mine goes between 56mph - 58mph depending on the road. Must have been going downhill when I got the 60mph at 3k!
  8. I bags a passenger run in your deck at the next meet! Looking forward to seeing the differences the box mods have made. Bet it feels slick tho with it all being rebuilt.
  9. I might be wrong, but will stiffening the backs compared to the fronts not induce more oversteer (someone correct me if i'm wrong please!!! lol )? check your tyre pressures on the back first mate, could just be that.
  10. Mate, my standard box is 3k rpm at 60mph? Problem is, almost all other cars are 70mph at 3k rpm, so makes the mb6/mc2's a bit high reving for motorways. On saying that, Dawns deck (1.6) is exactly the same......3k at 60mph
  11. Tom, just get the door cards from any 1.6ES mate (well, the ES's with black interiors!) They all come exactly like your front ones, and no bit for window winders (whats one of them things anyway!?). Ive got all black door cards in ruby to go with the full leather Absolutely loving the new seats mate, and looks like they were always meant to be there! Looks stunning!
  12. It is to Dawn mate, as she said she'll never sell it. She loves the car to bits, has had it around 7 or 8 years now and still loves it as much as the day she bought it! To be honest, if she sold it, there isnt really anything she could get for the money that she would like as much, so might aswell spend the money on it instead. The deck is so mint even underneath it's well worth holding onto, so makes sense to do everything she ever wanted to do to it. Feels so nice inside it now, nice place to be on long journeys
  13. We get loads of apologies from folk who haven't read the rules regarding selling, usually by email because it's normally an instant ban. You haven't been banned, but are on you're first and only warning. Any further instances of breaking the club rules will earn you an instant (permanent) ban. I would advise you g familiarize yourself with the rules before using the forum any further. Dave

    Help??

easy peasy mate. 1.4 on a 98 will more than likely be an mb2. Read the full chassis number mate and you'll see "mb2" or whatever one it is within the number
  15. lmao! try it and see! I've been thinking the same thing (no, not dumping Dawn for a week lol), same but in red. Would look pretty amazing me thinks!
  16. Thanks mate, yeah she got the designers at transcal in on the act to get their opinions, and they reckoned the ink blue was best. Just did a 450 mile trip in the deck yesterday and was comfy as anything! Did say to Dawn that I did find the interior a bit distracting whilst driving though...........Couldnt stop looking nat the seats.......the door cards...lmao lmao! thats class! Thanks for the comments chaps! I'm so bloody jealous of Dawns interior! lol I want too!!!!!
  17. Interesting stuff about your middle section mate. Mine (Powerflow cat back) is sounding louder than usual after a blast (only gets loud when exhaust is really hot) Most of the sound seems to be from the middle box, so could be same problem. Rear box is also louder now than it used to be, although does sound the nuts in Vtec! Time to get Ruby in for a nice new powerflow methinks! I'm also wanting it as quiet as oem (I've got an excuse now tho, I AM AN OLD GIT! lmao ) Does that manifold flange line up with the original cat? Quite fancy getting one. Nice find on the early VTiS alloy gearknob too! Looks sweet!
