  1. isn't it! We've never been fans of built up areas/cities, much prefer the wide open spaces. Where we're moving to, we have that right on our doorstep Thanks mate, appreciate that. Funeral went as well as can be expected under the lock down, felt very surreal. She deserved a much better send off than this but it's all we we're allowed to do. Least she's up there with my Dad now and having a ball! You'll love the roads down near our new house Ali, plenty fun to be had!
  2. Went for shopping again, taking the scenic route and the perfect car for this glorious weather. Peaked 33 degrees here today, unusual for Scotland and at this time of year. Was so nice getting the sun and fresh air while driving De-stressed us both. Mums funeral tomorrow so Mindy has helped get us ready. Hope everyone enjoying the sun and playing safe

Nice job bud, deffo getting quicker at this eh! How much did it cost you to wrap it?
  5. New tyres fitted today. Got kwik fit mobile to supply/fit the new tyres at home. Went for Goodyear Efficient grip 2 as have had these on Ruby and Roxy, and Mindy has them so thought time for DD to have them. Always loved the grip and low noise levels of these, especially in the wet. Size wise, went for 195/55 16. 15's are 55 profile, and the previous tyres were 45 profile, but should have been 50 with the 16's. Know the speedo will be slightly out going for 55's, but not bothered as the extra comfort and them filling the now huge arch gaps since going back to standard suspension will be worth it. Quite like the look to be honest also, got a pic of the jack the mobile fitters use. Airbag system which raises the car in about 2 secs! Nice bit of kit......have already seen them for sale so might invest in one for my new garage when its built. Already got a compressor so ready to go!
  6. So, looking to get new tyres for DD. What width of tyres are folks running on your lowered/standard height Civic M's? Know the widest standard size (for VTi/VTiS) is 195, but just wondering if we can go wider without any issues? Thinking 205's should be ok on DD's 16" wheels as plenty of room in arches with her being back on standard suspension.

The trim clips come as a kit from Honda. Not sure if they are still available mate, most likely discontinued. I've got a trim kit in the garage in its original packaging so will have a look for a part number for you. Got it for the rear lip but some low life stole the lip from my rear garden!
  8. Welcome to the club Keiran, Quite a few members on here have done the B18 conversion so plenty info available. One of the last ones done was Alex @Chandler for his aerodeck.Have a look at this page (although would recommend reading his whole project thread, stunning car!) ECU is P28 I think, although many go down the route of Hondata aftermarket ecu's for mapping etc. At the other end you we have even had extremes such as a K26 transplant into an MB2. See @DAVEMB2 "Trinity D" project thread Recently one of our members has done an H22 conversion. See @Alexmb4h22 project thread Deffo a lot to get inspired by there mate. Hope this helps. Hopefully a few of those members will be along to offer some info on everything that's required.
  9. Finally got them finished! Was a f@#k up with the order for the lacquer so after 12 days it still hadn't arrived and I ordered more from some place else. Went a bit different when I fitted the alloys this time, swapped the Cades centre caps for the new Honda ones I bought for the winter rims...looks better I think? DD with her posh shoes back on (still need to get some nice shiney new nuts!) Soooooo glad to have these back on, hated her look on standard alloys/winter tyres.

    Wanted!

Hate assholes who do that! Had the same done to my MINI, came back to find someone had reversed into it at speed and totally smashed the front end in......then promptly buggered off! Over a grands worth of damage and me left with no car for a week! Hope you get it fixed soon mate. I think you might struggle to find the MA style bumper/wing though, pretty hard to come by nowadays.

Hi Mate. Unfortunately we're still confined here with lock down, so very very fed up with it! Fuel wise, it's 95 octane that these were recommended to run on, but using 98 octane won't do any harm (might give marginal more performance, although emissions may be higher). Not sure how this new fuel that is being introduced here in the UK will affect them though (Named E10) which has a higher concentrate of Ethanol in it. This has been proven to react badly with the rubber gaskets/rubber fuel lines in older cars, but think ours might be ok. They have been using it in the USA for years and cars such as the mk1 MX5's seem to have been ok so as these are from the same era as our civics we hopefully should be fine. Weight wise, the Aerodeck weighs 1120 Kg / 2469 lbs (approx and depending on what engine fitted) Hope this helps Dave
  12. Top work, looking forward to seeing what power she makes!
  13. Mega arty photo and nice empty motorway!
  14. What an amazing photo mate! liking this!!
  15. Thanks guys.Mum had been unwell for the past week or so, and they thought she wouldn't make it through the previous weekend. But she had a chest infection, which then started pneumonia, and they think she also had a small stroke. Passed away in her sleep, so at least it was peacefully. Would have been 91 years old on the 26th of this month. She was in the latter stages of dementia too, which is probably what caused her to pass away in the end. Least she is pain free now. Even though I'm an old git myself, and we've been expecting this, it still doesn't make it any easier to cope with when it does happen.
  16. Got the Jass Performance S/S cup holder fitted, and also bought the Jass Performance gear surround. Love the fit of these, really great products from Jass. Got them all from Andrew at Autolink, quick delivery and superb service as always. Also got the new rubber gaiter/bush replacement kit coming for the top of the gearbox where the gear stick bolts on. Loving the look she now has! So, we decided to go for our weekly shop today and thought as the sun was out, and we both needed cheering up after losing my Mum on Saturday 2nd May, and still being in this lock down, we'd take Mindy. Gayle knew that we needed cheering up and a distraction, so queue Mindy. Not broke any rules, got our shopping and made us both feel a lot better (plus we got fresh air and vitamin D aplenty!). Proof that a weekly shop (including 4 bottles of wine!) does indeed fit in the boot of an MX5! Oh, and also got a wave from another MG, this time an old MG Midget. Was a wave from an MGBGT last time out! lol Seems our wee Mk1’s are deffo being recognised by the owners of older classic cars as proper classics now, which is nice.
  17. Wow! Can really see the metallic particles in that! Stunning, reminds me of the alabaster silver on Roxy, was mega metallicy (heh, I've invented a new word! Metallicy! ) Nice deep shine that mate
  18. Thought I recognized the reg! It's a mint car except for that bloody exhaust, car itself looks stunning. I remember it now, don't think it was stanced when Matt had it though? Need to look through his project thread, didn't know he'd sold it.
  19. Is that Speed Equip as in Naz one of our traders mate? Do you have photos of the faulty parts?
  20. Minty clean! That looked sweet, although sounded like a babe elephant with the runs! Like that Adam C, have lost count of how many of his videos I've watched.
  21. Right, lets kick this off with one I think deserves it just for being so different and constantly changing. A lot of work gone into this! Craigblight86 Civic MB2

lol I got one caliper bolt for my BMW Mini from BMW......your sir for £18! For 1 poxy bolt lol Would hate to think what they charge for 4 of those prop shaft ones. Think most dealerships are the same though tbh....Some of the Honda prices I've paid were outrageous!.
