    Wanted!

Hate assholes who do that! Had the same done to my MINI, came back to find someone had reversed into it at speed and totally smashed the front end in......then promptly buggered off! Over a grands worth of damage and me left with no car for a week! Hope you get it fixed soon mate. I think you might struggle to find the MA style bumper/wing though, pretty hard to come by nowadays.

Hi Mate. Unfortunately we're still confined here with lock down, so very very fed up with it! Fuel wise, it's 95 octane that these were recommended to run on, but using 98 octane won't do any harm (might give marginal more performance, although emissions may be higher). Not sure how this new fuel that is being introduced here in the UK will affect them though (Named E10) which has a higher concentrate of Ethanol in it. This has been proven to react badly with the rubber gaskets/rubber fuel lines in older cars, but think ours might be ok. They have been using it in the USA for years and cars such as the mk1 MX5's seem to have been ok so as these are from the same era as our civics we hopefully should be fine. Weight wise, the Aerodeck weighs 1120 Kg / 2469 lbs (approx and depending on what engine fitted) Hope this helps Dave
  3. Top work, looking forward to seeing what power she makes!
  4. Mega arty photo and nice empty motorway!
  5. What an amazing photo mate! liking this!!
  6. Thanks guys.Mum had been unwell for the past week or so, and they thought she wouldn't make it through the previous weekend. But she had a chest infection, which then started pneumonia, and they think she also had a small stroke. Passed away in her sleep, so at least it was peacefully. Would have been 91 years old on the 26th of this month. She was in the latter stages of dementia too, which is probably what caused her to pass away in the end. Least she is pain free now. Even though I'm an old git myself, and we've been expecting this, it still doesn't make it any easier to cope with when it does happen.
  7. Got the Jass Performance S/S cup holder fitted, and also bought the Jass Performance gear surround. Love the fit of these, really great products from Jass. Got them all from Andrew at Autolink, quick delivery and superb service as always. Also got the new rubber gaiter/bush replacement kit coming for the top of the gearbox where the gear stick bolts on. Loving the look she now has! So, we decided to go for our weekly shop today and thought as the sun was out, and we both needed cheering up after losing my Mum on Saturday 2nd May, and still being in this lock down, we'd take Mindy. Gayle knew that we needed cheering up and a distraction, so queue Mindy. Not broke any rules, got our shopping and made us both feel a lot better (plus we got fresh air and vitamin D aplenty!). Proof that a weekly shop (including 4 bottles of wine!) does indeed fit in the boot of an MX5! Oh, and also got a wave from another MG, this time an old MG Midget. Was a wave from an MGBGT last time out! lol Seems our wee Mk1’s are deffo being recognised by the owners of older classic cars as proper classics now, which is nice.
  8. Wow! Can really see the metallic particles in that! Stunning, reminds me of the alabaster silver on Roxy, was mega metallicy (heh, I've invented a new word! Metallicy! ) Nice deep shine that mate
  9. Thought I recognized the reg! It's a mint car except for that bloody exhaust, car itself looks stunning. I remember it now, don't think it was stanced when Matt had it though? Need to look through his project thread, didn't know he'd sold it.
  10. Is that Speed Equip as in Naz one of our traders mate? Do you have photos of the faulty parts?
  11. Minty clean! That looked sweet, although sounded like a babe elephant with the runs! Like that Adam C, have lost count of how many of his videos I've watched.
  12. Right, lets kick this off with one I think deserves it just for being so different and constantly changing. A lot of work gone into this! Craigblight86 Civic MB2

lol I got one caliper bolt for my BMW Mini from BMW......your sir for £18! For 1 poxy bolt lol Would hate to think what they charge for 4 of those prop shaft ones. Think most dealerships are the same though tbh....Some of the Honda prices I've paid were outrageous!.

wot the hell were you doing to snap 3 bolts on the propshaft lol
  16. Change of mind! Sitting looking at mk1 mx5s on the internet, and looking at what I could do next with Mindy during lock down. Seeing pics of the centre console without the wood and just the chrome vent surrounds got me thinking.....I didn't like that fake wood kit I fitted any more! Said to Gayle who thankfully admitted she didn't like it from the start and thought it looked tacky! Must admit, been thinking the same! So went out today and all the wood trim kit is off. Cleaned up the dash and think with just the chrome vent rings (and wee bit round the hazard switch) the dash looks a lot nicer. What you think? Wee cheeky shot, looking all inviting in the sun! Decided that as I had to drive to work today to pick up another monitor to use on laptop at home, it would be rude not to take Mindy for a blast! And one with my two girls together What difference getting out for a wee drive (first proper drive for over a month) makes you feel so much better! Oh, and also fot a Jazz Performance stainless steel cup holde coming for Mindy that replaces the useless ashtray in the centre console. Should look good methinks!

That's strong money for an EP3 nowadays, I take it it's low miles? What's up with the BM's gearbox mate? EDIT: just noticed what they are now going for on ebay! Price of these has gone up a lot!
  18. So, decided be quicker to do things in stages so got the other 3 wheels masked and gone over with the tack cloths. Set myself up a wee production line in the garage lol (I must have it a filter thing on my phone camera cos the wheels look gold....which they are not!) So, all 3 now etched, primed and into silver. Just need to lacquer them now (waiting on more lacquer arriving) then that's the full set done. Have took a few photos of the masking/prep process to put together a wee how to guide. Once we're set up in the garage at the new house gonna put a full video together returning DDs oem winter alloys.
  19. That must be a bit quicker than the D series it had originally! Lol
  20. all wheel drive!! You need to do the conversion Simon, I insist that Karen insists you do this! lol
  21. Jury is still out for me on that Simon lol. I love wheels that are dished with a polished lip, but just fed up of the hassle trying to stop them corroding/crap getting under the lacquer so this seems the best alternative. I do however have another cunning plan but that's way further down the line! Involves spectrachrome paint! Really happy with the finish on these though, they do look like new again. Time will tell on the durablity as I've found with Halfords paint it gets buggered very easy by brake dust, Halfords lacquer really is piss poor. Hence all the paint and lacquer this time are proper automotive stuff. Cost more, but hoping it actually lasts!
  22. Shes a pretty girl, always had a soft spot for the Accords. One of the best colours for them that!
  23. Finished! Masking tape etc off (and not a single bit of paint/overspray on the tyre!) Have defo learned that proper automotive masking tape is key, and makes an amazing difference. Wheel has had 4 coats of laquer, no runs anywhere so haven't lost my spraying skills! Will get another done tomorrow then the other two on Monday.
  24. Nice deep shine mate, looking sweet! Ps: don't look behind you! Someone's trying to sneak up on you!!! Lol
