  1. No decks but a pug 205 with a roof racks a load lugger???? Wot the actual!! Maybe if it had been "coolretro load luggers" there would have been some aerodecks!
  2. Lol love driving the deck but have to admit the mini is handling the daily duties way better than the TypeR. My bank balance isn't in the red for a change!!!! Lol
  3. And she passed! Only thing wrong was a sliding pin on the front brake calliper had seized a bit, but they stripped it down, cleaned and regreased it then she passed! Couple of advisories (two tyres worn on inside but they were like that when I bought the alloys over 4 years ago lol. LCA bushes at rear a bit worn but not expensive movement so theyre on my to do list over winter) other than that, she's in great health!! So chuffed, and have to say the service from East Coast Motors is excellent. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff and good prices too. So DD has been out and about the last few days and earning her keep. Got a whole load of stuff loaded in her from B & Q to fix a bedroom floor.... Joists, floor boards and loads of other stuff........gotta love the boot space in the decks!
  4. Looking sweet Ali. Suits those rims so well
  5. Some sweet civic m's there! There's also a lot of new members joined so let's see yours too folks......gotta be in it to win it!
  6. That's a bargain right there mate! Stunning looking pre face-lift, and they suit that colour so well. First civic M I had was an ma8 in blue. Loved that wee civic! Love the wheels you've fitted too, looks sweet on those!
  7. Open the front passenger door, and on the B pillar is the label showing the cars paint code and interior code mate Loving your pre facelift civic m by the way, looks sweet!
  8. Never been a fan of sticker bombing but each to their own! The carbon looks good though mate! Any plans to lower it?
  9. Wow! Nice finish from just using cans mate, fair play to you! She's looking sweet!
  10. amazing job with the bay mate, looks amazing! Did you spray it yourself? Gives me the incentive to get busy on DD, had her fired up for the first time in about 2 months yesterday, running sweet. But want the bay to be as clean and shiney as yours!!!
  11. Not much happening with DD lately as her mot ran out in June, so bought the ABS sensor from Honda and got her booked in for next Wednesday for mot and sensor fitting. Taking her to the dealer I bought the mini from as they've got a cracking workshop and decent rates too, so fingers crossed she passes. Then she can hit the road again! Looking forward to driving her again!
  12. Lol @Chandler you even got it in the right colour! And I've gained hair! Lmao that's deffo a bonus! Yeah, really is a great car to drive, never get tired of it. Some days I used to hate the idea of going anywhere in the TypeR, especially if it was in Edinburgh as the roads are shocking in and around the city. Just made driving a chore. The mini cooper, although still kinda stiff, is still really comfortable on all but the worst pot holes roads. While waiting for Gayle at the hospital today, had my tablet hooked up through the stereo, which sounded cool! Still need to find a way of getting a USB socket fitted though as it was just plugged in through the aux jack socket.
  13. Where's MA bloody ban stick! You need to feel the mini love!
  14. Says he who drove a hairdressers car too (mx5) ! Lmao Admit it Tom, you have a secret longing for a MINI but you're too shy to say! Lol
  15. Not done much to her yet, but did buy a channel swap wiring harness for the head unit. After reading up, found out that in its pearls of wisdom, BMW had all the bass going to the front speakers and tweeters, with the kids and highs going to the rears! They come standard with 6x9's in the rear, so this seemed nuts! Fitted the harness which swaps them around, and the sound is transformed! We now have lovely bass, and the highs are much better going through the tweeters. Gonna upgrade the front speakers at some point. Next purchase will be the wheels and cooper S rear tailgate spoiler. So far loving it, and gave it some stick on my favourite twisty coast road with Gayle, and it was fun! Oh, and only on its second tank of fuel since I bought it! Bonus!
  16. Huge amount of work done there mate, fair play to you. Is that the original rover front wings still fitted? I always thought they were a different shape around the headlight/ indicator? Bummer about the radiator but these things always happen. Funny seeing the swapped over parts going onto the civic too, means you now have a Ronda and a Hover on your drive! Lol
  17. It's possible the car may already have had damage if things weren't lining up properly to begin with. I have never used any jacking points at the front, always the ones on the side (wasn't aware there were proper jack points on the front). Did you position the jack on the chassis leg or on the actual slam panel\front valance itself? I wouldn't have thought the valance was strong enough to support the car on.
  18. Awesome stuff mate! And good on you for giving it a go! Need to see this in person when it's done, gonna look amazing!
  19. Yeah tom they own quite a few hinda forums. Have been approached in the past by a company like that wanting to buy civic5. But declined them on the spot!
  20. Yeah, i used to be a member there tòo, but stopped using it after Alec the sites owner sold it to that company. The site changed so much with adverts everywhere which slowed it all down. Plus these companies that buy all the forums are mostly based in the usa, so dont really give 2 hòots about some wee uk based club meaning the admins dont even moderate things. All they are interested in is advertising space. The mini forum im on is the same, owned by some company that wons hundreds of forums. They too got hacked! Ill keep well clear of hondacivic forum site now mate, ta for the heads up!
