    Lol I did like them a few years back when they actually put on a decent show but they just turned into assholes whose priority was about how many of the people of the country they were visiting they could insult and ridicule, forget about the cars. New show is the same only worse........so scripted its lost the chemistry between them that they used to have. From what ive read the second series they had planned has been canned.

    Yeah, thats something were seriously thinking about mate. Garage we bought it from does mapping now too so have given us a quote to get it done. Not sure if the deisel has the same gearbox as the petrols but we've found if your approachnig a roundabout and go down into second, spot a gap and go for it it just doesnt wanna know if its below 1800rpm. And at 1800rpm in second means dropping back into 1st will have the engine screaming so bit of a bugger. 2nd gear just seems to be a really crap ratio.

    Looks absolutely stunning mate. Really love where youve gone with this one. Loving the vinyl too, looks amazing! My fiance has just picked up an 08 focus and have to say even though its a deisel its a cracking car to drive. Wonder if she'll let me get it vinyl wrapped! Lol

    Best bet is to replace both those screws with bolts mate. Rover 400/45/mgzs had bolts instead of screes, much easier to get out. I put copper grease on the bolts before i put them back in so should be easy to take out again if need be

    For suspension a cheap upgrade is to go for the mgzs suspension. This will give you a subtle drop in height and a slightly stiffer ride thats still great for every day driving. Speak to Tom as he has this set up on his vti aerodeck. Replacing the suspension bushes can make a world of difference too, whether uprating ro polybushes or even replacing with standard new ones

    She looks a good UN for that kinda money mate! The girls got potential! As Simon says, water in boot poss coming in the rear windows. The bonding starts to break down on them through time allowing water in (same thing happens to front screen). Easy enough to sort though. Nice wee project you've got there.

    I might have a nice double din dvd pioneer for sale if you're looking to upgrade mate? Was the one I had in the typeR, got the optional sat nav unit too. Still debating whether to do the double din conversion on DD so if I don't and you fancy it gimme a shout. Cracking sound from it and it's DAB/USB/MP3/Bluetooth etc.

    I do remember a member had a scrap 2.2 that they wanted to fit to their mb but cant remember if they actually fitted it! Was many moons ago! Àswith most things, anything is possible if you have the funds/capability . We've had all sorts of conversions on here inc turbod d series, b20 and also a k26 conversion (see DAVEMB2 stunning conversion (trinity D)
