  1. Could be the immobiliser in the key as well... Mine went through a funny patch a couple of months ago where it was as if the battery was flat.. If i took the key out and turned it around it would start.
  2. Haven't been in the deck (apart from many swapping of ecu and fault reading) since before Christmas) so took her for a spin this morning because the battery was a bit on the flat side. Did a bit of whoring as well to show off some of the new blue additions and because I'd washed her the other day.
  3. Very tasty deck there chief.. Really suits the s kit
  4. Yeah, me too. I know that it's not the same as having a p72 because the Map is trying to copy what the electronics of the ecu,but it will close, and it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the p9. There's a bit of a difference of opinion about whether there's any benefit from the p72... I remember reading that civicturbo Rich didn't see that there was much difference, but there's others who rave about it. Tbh, all i wanted to do first of all is be able to tweak the iabs, and as there doesn't seem to be a base map for the p9, then p72 it is
  5. Hope to do a before and after on a Dyno to see what the crack is. Will get it properly mapped as well at some point
  6. So finally figured out how to bloody erase the chip with the willem programmer.. Had to steal a jumper off my cd drive to jump some pins for the erase, then take it off again to write. So now (hopefully) have a chip with a p72 map on, with no dodgy sensors being looked for, and some tasty lowered iab engagement. Can't wait to get it in now.
  7. Looking great there... Ace pics
  8. Can't help with any of the questions, but @noodels is from down your way... He might know of a body shop Hope you can get it sorted easily
  9. Nice... And loving the fold out table... Is that the boot floor?
  10. New blower motor is needed chief.. it's just 3 (or 4) screws that hold it in place. The blower motor unit is the thing that the resistor pack sits in. Just disconnect the wires, unscrew the motor and bobs your uncle
  11. Thanks... Think I'll need it Have messaged the guy who i got the chip off to see if he knows why i cant open the file, but if I don't hear back from him I'm tempted to just use the p72 base map that's on crome, and change the iabs myself :s
  12. Right hand free for operating the mouse
  13. Must take a lot of work to knock out a litre of the stuff... Have arms like popeye!
  14. I think that 4 star was 59p and unleaded was a fair bit cheaper
  15. It's a bit complicated tbh, but managed to read the Map off the chip okay , but crome wouldn't open the file. More reading needed.
  16. Esso garage near me (near Newcastle) is £1.13.99
