  1. Hey iam here again, couldnt find my old topic tho... what happened? I just did some trackday after few years. Finally with MeisterR and everything o modded on my suspension. And iam happy. It works.. the second session was on stiffest (rear +5 to softer) and it was good. Its more oversteery. I still think its better to have 8/5 springs than 8/6 btw. I would like to test it how that works. Maybe I will try to get different springs to back, little softer. So I will post the trackday videos here and I also done some roadtrip around Bohemia with my Civic. Its a big project, so it will take time to make the documentary, but i will post it here too, so you can see how my country looks like from an MB6 seat enjoy the videos (only 2 because I ran out of brakepads )
  2. Hello Guys Just thought i would give you an update on the ol' MB6 Project. Ive been very busy as of recent sourcing panels for the restoration. Im very chuffed to find some Genuine Body panels including the Whole Upper sill and rear outer arch. Alongside that i have also sourced some Rear inner arch Extension panels where the Sills Meet the Wheel Arch. Unfortunately the Lower/Inner Sill section was no where to be found alongside the front outriggers but thats not an issue at all. i will be starting to Fabricate some New Lower/Inner Sill sections as if you don't know already the Civic MA/MB has Three Segments to the lower sill. The First part being the Front Jacking point section which starts at the sill then wraps itself round the front chassis legs and subframe mounts. Then there is the Middle section where the Front seatbelts are Anchored to. This section is Spot welded to the floor pan to create a sandwich effect (lovely rust trap btw). The Panel Itself is an L Shape as it also forms apart of the inner sill as its all one pressing. Thankfully the rust has not spread up into the vertical section of the panel as the rust has only ate away at the lower part probably due to all the water being trapped there. and Finally the Last segment being the Rear Sill Extension assembly which contains the rear jacking points and the Semi Trailing arm bush mounting. With Fabricating these lower segments it is pretty simple Its just a 90 Degree bend with a flange where the outer skin is spot welded to. With Rover at the time having a Partnership with Honda Luckily the 400 and 45 is the same car in terms of bodywork pretty much. Hence why i have bought Rover sills and Rover Inner Arches (they're probably cheaper too) and they will do the same job. Part Numbers if needed ALA120220 for the Side Panel (do note the side panel is a saloon not a hatchback as they are no longer available.) ALX140020 and ALX140030 for the Rear inner arches. The idea will be to chop the sill segment and rear arch segment off the genuine panel and to replace what is the rotten part on my Civic. With this i can maintain the original pressings of the panel such as the grommet holes. Hopefully in the New year i can get round to producing the Inner sill segments to be used.
  3. Hey all! 3 years SORN... 😢 Got some cash, grabbing some MeisterR, getting the speedlines refurbed and power coated in championship white and... AD08RS... is what I'm going for... right? My beloved VTIs only goes out in summer on dry days, gets jacked, alloys off, battery out, garaged for the rest of the year. So I want great tyres that get love in use and wrapped up out of use. Anyone got any insights? I feel Yoko Advan AD08RS are legit tops, heritage dispite the drop in performance from the AD08 days, but lacking Toyo R888, anyone know of better and why? Any suggestions or fanboy throwins welcome ❤️

  5. Hello, i have MB6 and i want to completly replace all bushes on car. I cant find hardrace bushes for mb, can i use it from EG or ITR? anyone have any experience? Thanks
  6. Hello there, I have an issue with my MB6 B18C4. The engine sometimes hesitates sometimes not and the car has very bad idling. It fluctuates a lot. New distributor, new TPS, new MAP, new IACV, new throttle body, new spark plugs and spark plug wires and the car has enough coolant in it. Any ideas?

  8. So how many lambda/02 sensors does the MB6 Civic originally have? My car had aftermarket exhaust system since i got it, so i have no idea what's the most ideal/original position of lambda/02 sensor. And also does it originally come with 1 or 2 sensors? If 2 then where does the other one go to? I've never had OEM cat so where does to 02 sensor go to? I know that there is supposed to be at least 1 sensore before the cat or at the cat... Does the OEM header/exhaust manifold have o2 connection or was it directly on the cat itself? I have aftermarket header with plugged o2 connection and the lambda is currently connected directly to aftermarket cat since it already had a connection to it. But is the best place for the sensor at the end of the header pipe before the cat starts? I'm asking all of this because i have constant issues with high emissions. I'm trying to rule out things. ECU could cause all sorts of readings depending on the set up... Right now i'm going to replace the rusted header if that helps. If the header leaks somewhere, it could lead to surprisingly big emission issues. ECU for instance could assume that the engine is running too lean, and compensate it with more fuel so that it runs rich... Has anyone changed thermostat, coolant/radiator cap, coolant temperature sensor? Many people here have issues with emissions on B18c4. So did any of those things fix the issue for someone? Or does the car need a OEM cat? ECU issue regarding non-OEM parts used? These cars doesn't seem to like some of the aftermarket parts if i'm not wrong...
  9. Has any of you replaced the distributor on MB6/MC2 Civics? In North-American forums some people say bad things about aftermarket ones, but OEM ones are quite expensive if i'm not wrong... Ashuki product claims to be "OEM Replacement with a perfect quality." Dragon Fire Performance claims to be for high perfomance, suitable for high rpm etc. Has anyone used Ashuki products on their Hondas around here? Good/bad experiences? Also has anyone replaced thermostat with a aftermarket part? Any risks? Good brands? Meyle, Mahle, Gates?
  10. Are there any model specific exhaust manifolds for MB6 B18c4 anymore? Toyosports made some a few years ago. I can only find some cheap from ebay or more expensive from skunk2 or Tegiwa. I need a new one because the old one is rusted. DCsports 4-1 manifold. Is anyone using this by any chance? https://turboworks.pl/product-eng-5852-Exhaust-manifold-HONDA-CIVIC-B18-4-1.html Any idea if that would fit or could there be ground clearence issues etc. ? I can only find some manifolds meant for B18 in general. Does all aftermarket B18 exhaust manifolds fit MB6? Any bad experiences?
  11. Hey guys Im in need of some help. I recently bought an Mb6 in Germany and i'm having it inspected on monday. But now, the fog light bulb on the right side is out. Got 2 new ones but im lost on how to replace them. I've seen pictures of it without the black cover around it and was wondering how do I get them of so i can change the bulbs. Hope you can help
  12. Wondering anyone have any tips to why my boot wont close its not the latch or receiver. I got new ones and connect but when i screw the latch receiver down and close the boot it just wont close, but i do notice the latch receiver wont stay in place it falls down. Also when i close the boot feel like it shifts from left to right which makes me think its the boot supports but the seem fine. And ideas would be great. Thank you. Its the only thing thats wrong with my mb6
  13. I tried to change the original PCV valve with a new aftermarket one (cheap). It was hard to remove the old one and it cracked in two pieces. I got it all out eventually while very frustrating. Putting the new one was surprisingly hard too. I did attach it to the hose surprisingly easily but it was hard to press the new valve back into the hole. There's no space so hard to apply any strengh. I'm not sure if it's all the way down. It looks pretty good but i think it could be a little off. The aftermarket valves rubber part was a bit longer than in the old OEM one. Maybe that makes it hard too. Anyway tried to start the car after all the work and i think the idling is a bit off. It could be running lean or rich if i installed it wrong... There is some smell and exhaust gas smells a bit rich too although i always had trouble with emissions/car running too rich. Also the car is using oil so that's also the reason for trying to change pcv valve. I haven't test driven yet but i'm afraid i could've made things worse. Might have to take the car to a car mechanic. Tried to save some money by doing it myself because the valve is in a bad spot in these engines as you may know. Is it harmful to the engine if i installed it badly? Is running rich or lean harmful to engine? When i pressed the gas pedal at idle it didnt sound healthy/strong. Choking sounds and hesitating sound but the pedal feel was normal. Should i try to drive the car or let someone take a look?
  14. I have Mb6 civic. What is the size of that small rubber hose from valve cover to the breather tube? its connected with small clamps from both ends like in the picture (not my car). I had aftermarket air intake from preavious owner and trying to replace it with Integra oem air intake. What size in mm. and is it same size from both ends?
  15. What emission "class" does the Mb6 belong to? i have 1997 model. I'm looking to buy a new universal catalytic converter. I need to know which kind is enough to pass the emissions. Some converters are for pre-obd-II etc. I'm not even sure if Mb6 is technically obd-II? Also do you guys in UK use Euro 2, Euro 3, Euro 4 etc. class for emissions? My MB6 is a 97 so idk if its euro 2 or euro 3? Does any catalytic converter with o2 sensor fitment suffice?
  16. Does anyone have bad experiences with light flywheels on MB6 Civics? Any difference in Dual mass or Single mass? Single mass is preferred overall i suppose but in some cars there is some chatter/noise at idling or decelerating. Any such symptoms with MB6? Any difference if stock clutch is matched with lightweight flywheel? My leg cramps easily with heavy pedal feel so i'm not really looking for stage 1 or stage 2 clutch etc. I've been looking into ACT streetlite flywheel (5.6 kg). Weight seems okay compared to some lighter ones and is single mass. I want to hear about risks and rewards for daily use. Rattling noises worry me. especially idling.

  18. Helloo New to this,But I had this issue with all my MBs,The arabian tent ,Ive used glue before ,but now Im just close to giving up,Any Ideas .Maybe Rip off and staple some leather fabric or limo lights those little leds all over could look cool?
  19. I would like to know if it will be possible to fit on the MB6 Hood and front bumper onto my MA8. I've noticed there are significantly more parts for the MB6, and then more there's the front lip that I think I wouldn't be able to put onto my MA8. I'm worries there might be conflict with the lights or other parts of the body. And that MB6 bumper is quite sexy. Pictured my white ma8, someone elses (who's probably here on civic5) mb6
  20. The three spoke steering wheel from HRV looks pretty good. My current one is wearing out a bit. Would it fit to MB6? SRS airbag compatibility? Number of splices? Safety of different air bag?

  22. Anyone here familiar with gravity exhaust products from ebay? Good quality or cheap chinese rip of? Found 4-1 manifold with good price. Cant find toyosport manifolds for mb6 anymore. Im looking for that Subaru rumbling sound some get with 4-1 manifolds in their mb6. Currently I get mostly droning low sounds. Need some Grunt to it without rice. Which One is better for b18c4 overall. 4-1 or 4-2-1 figuration? Considering the long gearing of s9b as well...
