gotta be done hasn't it! lol I was the same in Ruby.....same in Roxy lol. Only maxed them out once just to see what they could really do and Ruby impressed me (all she had was the stainless cat back and an induction kit) and she hit an indicated 147mph (so in real world probably around 135, maybe 140mph? Roxy i hit just over 150mph, so again, realistically around 145mph, maybe a wee bit more. Bloody shit maself in Roxy though when I looked at speedo, didnt realise we were going so fast and the bugger was still pulling! All on a drag strip obviously, and soooooo much fun! Main reason I sold Roxy was overly stupid stiff suspension and the fact she was gonna loose me my license!! lol

Glad you got it sorted mate, and glad it was something east to fix too.

For the blower, test it with a multi-meter to see if it's blown. Or if you can find the live and negative feeds for itat the fan itself, try connecting it straight to battery as it could be the actual switch on the dash (although not a fault we've seen coming up in the past) . This test will determine if either the blower motor itself is ok and if the switch is ok or faulty. The rising temp most likely is an airlock. Both the D series and B series engines (the B series in particular) are a pain to bleed. It could be that when you replaced the coolant last time, there may still have been an airlock that you didn't get out which is showing itself now. I'd deffo make sure you've got all air out before troubleshooting further. This will be the easiest and cheapest fix if that's what it turns out to be. The thermostat is always an obvious source of this kind of fault, so it's good that you've changed it. Thing is, I've had instances in the past where I've changed the thermostat only to find that the new one is also faulty. I had 3 on the bounce that were new but faulty, so ended up going to Honda. Did you bleed the system after fitting the new thermostat? As said above, it would be a good idea to test the fan too is it may just be the fan is gubbed. I had to replace the one on Ruby years ago so strong possibility that it may be the fan.

I would strongly advise against buying it online if you want it to match (or be as close to a match as possible). Visit your nearest good automotive paint supplier and they should have the two colour cards there so you can put them against your paint to see what one matches best. Bear in mind that these cars are old now, and have saw a lot of sun/UV effects on the paintwork so your paint will be lighter than normal due to fading. My paint supplier is no longer there, closed up shop years ago which is a shame as they were amazing.

Hi Ricky There are indeed two shades of Orleans blue mica, but both have the same paint code. I found this out when respraying the bonnet and bumper on my MA8. My paint supplier had two paint match cards, one slightly lighter than other (for the MA8 it was the lighter one). Both were B77P. There is another metallic blue these civics came in which looks similar to orleans blue but is a darker more blue (if that makes sense?) colour. I think Chandlers deck might be that shade. Its on a lot of later civic M's around the 2000 MY

Spot on advice from Jake. We have had a few turbo'd D series in the club, even a D1.6 auto that was turbo'd. Tyr the search function to search the forum for them as they might have interesting info in there that you can use. For professionals, Rich (civicturbo79 on here) runs Dynodaze in Hinckley. He built one of the first turbos we had in the club, was a stunning mb6 he turned into a B20 turbo. Amazing bit of kit. He will have loads of info for you, and nice guy to speak to (was a moderator on here at one point too). Nice to see another D series Civic M being turbo'd.

That old rickity shed is going, and next to where it sits just now is where the new double garage is getting built.

There we go, gives you an idea. House looks small in the photo but is huge inside......one maaassive living room and a corridor so long we keep losing each other in the house! Been using the civic5 walkie talkies for when I'm away over in the garage working! lol Garden looks a lot different to those photos now as we've been busy pulling out weeds and I've started power washing the tar parking bit to get all the old moss off it (its covered in it, or at least it was!)

It is mate! the view from our living room front window is across the village and into the hills. Have to pinch myself every time I look out the window! DD has been loving the roads down here too, so good to get her out and about now. her parking space is litterally right outside our bedroom window at the back of the house. We have a massive loing drive that comes in off a lane at the side of the house, and goes all around to the back where we have a nice big tarred bit to park on. Really can believe the land we have here. Will need to post a few pics!

Much has been happening! Coming to terms with losing mum, still got a lot of legal stuff to do and help my sister with sorting her estate. Not easy with half the family not on speaking terms and no idea where they live now. Now for some better news.......we have finally moved to our new (old) house in the scottish borders......and loving it! So quiet, peaceful and chilled out down here it really is amazing. House needs a shed load of work done ( got sparky rewiring whole house next weekend) then new windows to get ordered and fitted after that along with decorating. It's slowly coming together though, Gayle and me have been so busy since we got here getting the garden sorted, doing stuff to the inside (ive been fitting stuff, putting up shelfs, swapping out some of the light fittings and switches etc. Not got the planning in for the new double garage yet, but if we run out of time we've hatched a plan to get the single garage we have here emptied enough to get Mindy in there for the winter (she's currently slumming it in the leaky car port joined onto the garage at the moment!). Had family down this weekend (all outside and following the rules) and they have fallen in love with our new house, saying they cant believe how big it is and the amount of land it has. They all love the village too, which is one of the prettiest in the borders. have to say, thought I would struggle leaving our old town (even with all the agro we had there recently) as I'd been in that house for 27 yrs. I have to admit, I don't miss it a bit! people and neighbours here are totally amazing, and so helpful too. We seem to have fitted right in no probs! So, thought we'd take Mindy for a wee adventure on some undiscovered (by us!) roads around the village and surrounding countryside.Be rude not to post a few photos! Mindy is a bit dirty as not had a wash since we left our old town......only just got the outside tap fitted a few days ago so now we're good to go. This is the back road into our village (basically 2 min drive from our house), can just see the village in the distance And wee Mindy! Loving her new life in the Scottish Borders. We wanted to see where the road went, so drove for around 7 miles and the hills/scenery is breath taking. Eventually the road brings you onto the back road into Galashiels at Tweedbank side. Can't believe we have this as our back garden/playground!

Mate that height looks spot on, plus will go some ways to help protect that stunning undercarriage. Think Ali (burbleboy) might be able to help with the settings or Dan DMRichards? Loving how clean this looks, credit to you bud! DD also needs those bushes replaced although they passed the mot but they look completely shot. It's deffo on my list of things to get done.
