That looks sweet as! Love the wheels and the stance, front lip looks really good too! As said above, get a project thread going so we can see more of this one! Would love to see this on our sister site/club too (Https://future classic cars.uk)
  2. Sounds as though there is a problem at the rear calipers (if fitted) themselves mate. When adjusting the handbrake, you need to slacken the cables off completely, then (without the engine running and the handbrake off) pump the brakes pedal like you did before. After around 10 pumps, adjust the handbrake cables (still with the handbrake off). Adjust a bit at a time until you get the wheels locking on around 4 to 5 clicks. It's easier to do with the rear on axle stands so you can make sure the handbrake is even on both sides.
  3. Unfortunately due to no interest we decided to suspend the comp mate. We did post up in the latest news and sent out an email advising everyone.
  4. Grill looks sweet mate, and you've deffo done a good job of it! Really changes the look of the front, much more modern/aggressive. Liking that a lot!
  5. Must admit she does look a lot nicer in that colour mate. And not a colour you see them in often, most are silver or grey so nice to be different
  6. She looks tidy mate, hopefully you'll have more luck with it being a different colour this time. I see it has the sill bars/steps too, or did they all have them?

    Body panels comp

Only ones that won't fit are from the pre facelift MA8/9 and MB1 (1.6SR). All other Mb's and MC's will fit mate. As said above, it won't have the lip but you can fit your own one no probs. Oh, and being an LS it won't have the headlight washers or holes for them, but again, easy enough to fit the ones from your old bumper to the new one
  8. And spotted another silver deck, 1.6se this time!
  9. Spotted this in St hellier today (we're on hols hete). Silver vti deck, vtis mid spoler and kit, looked really clean. Anyone from here?
  10. As far as I can remember the D series all use the same dizzy mate, although hopefully another member can confirm it. You'll need the ECU too I think?
  11. Looking good mate. The night breakers are excellent, had them on all my civics. The difference is "like night and day" lol Deffo a big improvement.
  12. Good point mate. I hardly see any around here now. You've never saw an mb6 in person?? You need to ask a member for a passenger ride in one mate! Awesome cars,, even in standard form. Think you'd be surprised how quick they are, and they sound amazingly I still miss Ruby, always will. She had a very distinctive voice and always put a smile on my face!
  13. Focus is a decent car mate, that's what Gayle has (2008 facelift) Style model. On the pre facelift, watch the bonnet lock mechanism, prone to breaking meaning a nightmare to get bonnet open again! I had to replace it on Gayle's eldest daughters 2006 model. Is it a petrol or diesel you've got? Ps: keep that wee civic tucked away
  14. Thing is, I'm seeing less and less civic mb's of any kind going around nowadays, so she's worth keeping as a project if you have space to store her. I've only spotted one civic mb this last month!
  15. Not sure how it will sit mate tbh due to different weights/spring rates. The ride height is exactly the same though, and there isn't any difference in stiffness when comparing an mb6 to a standard model. The mgzs suspension does drop the height a bit though, so might be a better swap. From what i can remember it should fit using existing hubs etc but maybe someone else can clarify this?
  16. From what I can remember you should be able to prise it out with a plastic panel removal tool mate. I've got a spare lighter socket and surround in the garage, I'll try and have a look at it and see how it fits and let you know. Will probs be the weekend before I get a chance to get out there though.
  17. The rover 400 etc are the same ones mate, so fit is exactly the same. My Hekos did the very same as yours, and those awful metal clips they come with don't do anything other than make the fitment worse! They also bugger up your rubbers too. Climair are such a solid fit you could probs get away with not actually using the double sided tape, but that makes the fitment perfect. Just the cost that's a downer!
  18. Sad times indeed mate Hope you can figure out a way to keep going with the civic, she's been one of Civic5's regulars for a long time
  19. Think that would look pretty cool mate. Liking that yellow light paint, how many coats did you need to put on? Looks a lot better than the yellow film I had on Ruby at one point, which just went all crusty.
  20. Wow! Mega low miles, 1 owner and fsh, you're onto a winner with that one mate. Looks really clean too. My first 5 door civic was 1.4 auto too, was a cracking little civic that. Was actually quite nippy too, and the most reliable car I've ever had. Owned it for around 6 years and was faultless. Looking forward to seeing you progress with this one.
  21. Climair are the best in my opinion mate. I've had both those and the team Hekkos and the quality and fit of the climairs are so much better. The Hekkos pop up on eBay often, the climairs tend to be mostly had from the climair website. If you want the rears too, type in Rover 400 if the civic ones aren't there.
  22. Excellent! Glad you got it out mate. Looking forward to pics of the new brakes!
  23. Glad to hear she's being saved mate. Changing the arms etc will also make her feel a lot nicer to drive. Looking forward to seeing her on the road again
  24. Once the nut has been undone and the C clip removed, you should be able to wiggle it loose then pull down to remove it. If there's a lot of corrosion/crud around it this will probably be whats holding it. I take it it's the bracket that's attached to the car, where the metal brake line joins the rubber flexi hose?
