  1. Ah right, to be fair you have to think how the suspension will react when the cars weight isn’t on them... I.e over bumps or slights crests in the road... if all of a sudden your springs become unseated at 50 odd mph probs not going to end well lol... however there are options with the stock springs n shocks though to lower it to a degree... should be stuff located in how to section bud
  2. I got a complete central heating system being installed soon, as currently no gas in the property, so when that all gets under way I might see if they can put me an outside tap in then!
  3. Haha!!! Yeah it is well overdue a good clean... too much faffing doing it at home with no outside tap though so once it’s on the road I’ll give I a good spruce up at work!!
  4. Has anyone had a website warning when coming in today?? Something about an expired certificate, and an impersonator May be trying to steal my details??? Lol @Dave
  5. ITS ALIIIIIIIVE!!! brake discs and pads all done now... Mtec black edition discs with mintex pads!
  6. Will look sweet freshly painted! is that just a body shop you took them too or have you got use of a friends spray booth??
  7. Correct... just stands out different as it’s not body colour
  8. I know Krzys, I completely hold my hands up to it... I should know better, I’m a mechanic for god sake! Lol... up on stands now though and hopefully finish off tonight, with an impact driver and sledge hammer!!!
  9. Yeah I was doing it on my stone driveway so not a good idea to do it whilst on the jack... lucky I used the sill and I weren’t inside the arch when it came down! yeah that’s the right thing to use, I just didn’t think i’d need it as those screws aren’t usually that damn tight!!... I forgot that I haven’t had the discs off yet so I should have expected it lol !!
  10. Went to do my rear brakes this eve... went from bad to worse!! first I realised not to underestimate the importance of axle stands.. my own stupid fault... No damage done luckily... then once I got it back in the air, the tip of my screw driver snapped off whilst trying to undo the holding screws on one of the discs!! Another go tomorrow with sturdier tools it is!!! Lol
  11. Haha!!!! I didn’t look at the background car!! What a lemon!!
  12. Tut tut Tom thanks Dave also for the compliments... she is far from stunning compared to others but that photo does her a world of justice! fingers crosseded I can start finding time to progress with the project!
  13. Ha wow that poll wasn’t open long... I guess gone are the days where we have 6 or 7 entries per month with 20 odd people placing votes.. what’s the dealio people!! ta by the way @powerofdreams

  16. News flash... I’ve just discovered the H-Tune website!!! Being up all night scrolling through their endless list of parts has given me a wish list totalling about £3800!!!
  17. Hey Maz long time... you know the deck makes sense, I think you just love starting a project from a clean slate! wheres your ‘to-do’ list for this beast then buddy??
  18. That’s a fair wreck you got there mate... good to hear everyone was ok! Deck looks sweet... instead of buying alloys have you thought of maybe going down the banded steels route?? They sometimes look nice if done right maybe not in bright blue though
