  1. Hey all, I bought myself a black aerodeck vti a few months ago as a "daily" car but I've now decided to boost it and make it super amazing... Here she is in her standard form, bought it with only 93,000 miles and a few issues like airbag light on, cracked windscreen, dented drivers rear door (quite bad and looks man made), torn steering wheel, ripped and hanging door card material... I have sorted the airbag light but still have all the other issues which will be very easy to sort so I'm Not too fussed but sourcing a door in my particular black isn't easy and I'm still looking (It's NOT the Pirates black) As for the goodies that I have bought... Think I'm going to my unit this Sunday to fit the suspension and clutch... The White slipstreams look great on the car!!!
  2. As you all probably know iv bought burbleboys vti-s and very happy with it glad to be back in a Honda. Plans are to just drive it for a while as it's already sorted, save for a turbo kit next summer (possibly!) taking fly-eyes off as there just not my thing.
  3. 4. hi everybody guess who bought another civic mb1 sr vtec...yeaaah it's me it was a very good deal, near my home... so i bought it 300€ (217£), she has 127 000 miles (197 000 km ) very good conditions,, and i bought her to english people !! unfortunatly i wasn't here to talk with them as you can imagine, at this price, the need some reparations so it's a mb1 sr vtec of course (rare in France, or so expansive), d16y2 as you know. she is grey, perfect for my collection of MB1 lol ^^ good points : - her mileage ! -4 electric windows work good - clutch look ok - interior is very clean, exterior too ! - the engine looks good, sec - it's a SR ^^ bad points / or to do : - tyres ( i ' ve the old wheel of my white) - front and rear brake ( disk + pads) + brake caliper - exhaust, and o2 sensor (check engine) - all drains and filter (air, oil, fuel....) - spark... there is a little rust but it's ok all she needs to drive ^^ we will do everything 'cause we don't have invoices of the last owner! at the moment she doesn't able to drive ( one rear brake caliper is bloqued or broke ) but we will make all of this with love, like my other MB so now, i've got 3 mb1 somes pictures mae

  8. Hello, I've been following this forum for a while but never introduced myself so I think it's about time that I do this My name is Ringo, i'm from Belgium so my Englisch isn't the best but I'll try. I have my aerodeck mc2 now for almost a year. When I bought him it had 110.000 km. This is when I bought him : My first modification were wheels and h&r lowering springs. I also changed the oil to mobil1 5w40 and mounted a itr oem airbox. Changed the sparkplugs and installed a cat converter. This week I'm gonna change the brake pads to ebc black ones. I also did a big order at all4honda.nl, a 5 panel mirror, a sensor for oiltemp and oilpress, a new fuelfilter, a hamp oilfilter, an oilpan gasket, a exhaust header gasket, a few little things and the biggest thing, an invidia g200 catback from a civic coupe/sedan 92-95. Also I want to buy a utcomp board computer and install the oil sensors on it. I also bought a vti-s front and back lip wich must be painted in red. I had the chance to buy a secondhanded tegiwa toda rep header wich is almost brand new. When the new updates are installed I'll be posting some new pictures. This is a picture of me and hondaprojason when he visited the netherlands : edit november 2015 : these are the mods i've did so far: performanceitr airbox with k&n filter and cold air feedtegiwa toda rep. headerdecatsrs r60 catbackinsane shafts driveshaftsoem itr clucthact streetlight flywheelhamp oilfilterebc brakepads suspensionh&r coilover kitrota grid 17x7,5 et45black lugnutspirelli p zero nero 205-40-17mg zs 18mm swaybar rearenergy suspension front swaybar endlinks bushingsenergy suspension gear shift bushings interiortegiwa 360 degree shifter extensiontegiwa type r gear knob5-panel mirror exteriorvti-s lip kitvti-s spoilergrill and logo wrapped in matt blackfake air intakes in fog surroundingsheadlights tinted in blackwhite sidemarkersdebadged trunknew paint on vti-s kit, trunk rear bumper, mirrors, and doorhandlestegiwa rear tow hookpainted brake calipers redclimair window visors frontshort atenna engine baydarkicedesigns hoodstrutspassword jdm radiator staypassword jdm vtec solenoid covertegiwa washers tenzo-r battery tiedownskunk2 plug cover future modsutcomp trip computer (working on it)engine dress-upwindow visors rear and roofwindow tintingheadlights blackhousing diynew paint valve coverskunk2 water hosesbishimoto water reservoir
  9. Hi, So I recently bought my Honda Civic VTi MB6 in the UK, but now I have to do a special "Import MOT" here in Belgium, so I need new headlights (LHD traffic) Now I'm looking for the headlights but I'm puzzled tbh.. I never had this much of a hard time finding out which are the good ones ? I see headlights that have an electrical "lightfield" adjustment and no lightreach adjustment and then others that have both, but I really dont know which is which tbh.. All I see is a switch to adjust the height of my headlights inside the car, is there another option to adjust the Width or something in specific MB/MC/MA's ? cheers
  10. Since I joined Civic5 and started seeing all the nice Ms I have wanted to have a VTI deck in Pirates Black but due to financial reasons and the price they would be selling for I was unable to fulfil my dream..The other morning I went on Auto Trader just to have a look as usual with no plans of buying a Car..but as I searched for Honda Civic Estates I saw this ad of someone selling a Pirates Black one in Birmingham so me and mrs. decided to go have a look at the car..but as soon as we saw it we knew we have to buy it..so I took it for a test drive and loved it..It's done 136k..Completely standard..2 Previous owners and the last owner had it for 8 years..and it's evident that he looked after it and didn't abuse the car..There is no rust anywhere..some swirls and minor scratches on the paintwork but nothing major..I am very happy and excited to have this car and looking forward to some nice changes Pictures from the ad. I haven't taken any yet..but tomorrow morning if the weather is nice I will take some more
  11. 101k 2 owner car. No rust or rot. Mods are coilovers intake 4 branch manifold an stainless steel system an induction kit with cai. More plans next year.
  12. This model of Civic has the Double Over Head Cam VTEC engine Fitted. Power output is 169bhp, making it a quick, powerful and practical sporty hatchback. The VTEC system not only makes the car fast and fun to drive, but also makes it reasonably economical when driving normally. Interior wise, the VTi has half leather (full leather optional extra) sports seats (with drivers seat height adjustment), black ash effect dash inserts (carbon effect on later models), air conditioning, rev counter, radio/cassette (CD player and CD Changer both available as options), electric windows all round, tinted glass with built in top tint sunstrip to windscreen, Electric tilt and slide glass sunroof, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, front and rear head rests, rear centre armrest, front arm rest/storage compartment and remote central locking with factory fitted immobilizer. Exterior wise, the VTi also benefited having headlamp washers, front lip/spoiler, colour coded mirrors and door handles, tailgate spoiler, 5 spoke 15 inch Speedline alloys (with an option alloy package of Speedline Chronos or Speedline Fan depending on model year), VTi badging and DOHC VTEC decals on the rear doors. Mechanically, on top of having the DOHC VTEC engine, the VTi also had uprated brakes, with 282mm vented front discs as standard. It also came with ABS, and a 5 speed gearbox with limited slip differential, adding to the driving experience. Safety wise, driver and passenger SRS airbags and side impact beams, plus seat belt pre-tentioners were all standard. The VTiS models had the same spec as the VTi, but came with the VTiS Speedline Chrono or Fan alloys as standard, and also had a deeper front lip/spoiler with vents, sports side skirts, rear lip, unique alloy VTiS gear knob (or silver and black VTiS gearknob depending on the model year), floor mats with VTiS embroidered onto them, and finally a VTiS badge fitted to the tailgate. VTiS models came in Pirates black pearlescent paint only. Additionally, the VTi and VTiS models were also available in Aerodeck models, the specs being the same as the 5 door hatch models. Aerodeck VTi/VTiS model codes are MC2. Here are the full specs for the Honda Civic VTi & VTiS 5 door hatchback and Aerodeck models. 16. Well my girlfriend has the Aerodeck VTI and I have the VTI-S, I've started a project thread on mine so thought i would do one from hers seems as though its getting a few bits on it now, bought couple of years ago on about 113k (now on 128k) Work Carried out. Started off needing a release bearing so changed that and the clutch and a service, then it was undersealed, then i bought a VTI front splitter, then the ARB drop links, then i bought a VTI-S lip kit, then someone reversed into it and it got a new door and wing (poorly sprayed), then brake lines front to back, then another service, then front shocks, then tracking, then back box, then manifold and cat, then it got some 15" Fanblades with near new Toyo T1R tyres. Probably missed stuff but will edit later. Next week im picking up a few new parts for it Rear trailing arms with new bushes, JDM rear LCA's, Silver door, Silver wing, Rocker cover, Future Plans OEM DC2 Suspension, Exhaust (currently winning one on ebay, and will be putting my stainless manifold on when i go H2B), Fog Lights (see what plastic alternatives i can fit), Rear passenger arch repair (slight bit of surface rust but still solid and undersealed), Top arms, Removal of resonator box, Service. How i bought it... Then i bought a VTI lip Then I bought a VTI-S lip kit Undersealing! Under the Sideskirts before undersealing! Damn Exhaust! =/ His and Hers New Rocker Cover tracking had to get done New wheels Little one Cleaning the wheels lol Selfie My girlfriend got involved and changed her own wheels (can just see the surface rust which hasn't changed in two years lol but i undersealed the lip and inside) Before and after.
  17. I've owned this VTI-S for about 4 months now here is a little bit of info about it followed by some pictures then my plans at the end. it had a couple of mods already which were:- White speedlines, Red "H" on the grill, H.I.D's 2.5" custom straight through exhaust, Mushroom Filter, it also had a few issues with the:- dent/scratched wing, scratched front bumper and missing headlight sprays, scratched rear bumper, cracked fog lights, pulling to one side, wheels needing a refurb, interior (door cards peeling, hole in carpet, roof sagging) exhaust to loud and thin on the manifold, sunroof (doesn't move backwards only up), grill needs refurb, cracked wing mirrors (both). So far i have done:- changed wing, changed front bumper changed fog lights, Oil and Filter change, Spark plugs, Anti roll bar drop links, changed to Speedline Chrono's refurbed in ford graphite grey and wrapped in Toyo T1R's lowered on Integra suspension, Integra manifold, Changed full exhaust including the teg mani for a full stainless system, Integra Strut brace, Broadway Mirror, De-tango'd Headlights, removed the Air Box Resonator, Put a B16 Airbox on with new Panel filter, Undersealed the arches, under the wings, under the front bumper and under the passenger sideskirt. still a few bits to change that i have in my garage but i have been working on my girlfriends deck aswell as it was MOT time lol! still have a back bumper (rear will also get undersealed when its off) and an aftermarket steering wheel to go on, i've also sourced a full new interior =] still on the lookout for some wing mirrors in pirates black! 18. Ok, as most of you know, I've been debating which Honda to sell as I can't keep ip with trying to work on all 3 of them. The deck was always going to stay, so she's safe. So I had to decide between Ruby (Civic VTi MB6) and Lexy (Civic TypeS FN1), which one do I sell. The one which stayed was going to have to become my daily driver. But I couldn't decide, because I loved the thrill of driving Ruby (the fun and the power) but couldnt go back to driving her every day. And I loved the creature comforts, the safety, and the solidness of Lexy............But she just didn't have the fun factor having no power! What to do!!!? After a month of sleepless nights (seriously!), Gayle came up with the perfect solution! Sell em both and buy a TypeR! It made perfect sense, because with that I can have the best of both the MB6 and the TypeS all rolled into one! So, with Lexy traded in, it's time to introduce the new TypeR in my life, Roxy! one thing i was stuck on was what do we call her?? Then again, Gayle came up trumps! She's replacing Ruby and Lexy, so a combination of those two names would be perfect! Ruxy sounded a bit daft, so after more thought.....................Roxy was born! Ok, now the car. Shes a 2008 Honda Civic TypeR GT in Alabaster silver, bought from our Civic5 Official Traders Western Honda @ the Fort, Edinburgh. She's already got the optional 19" polished alloys, which really make her stand out. And although I wouldn't normally go out and buy a silver car (had a few before though), she looked stunning and a bit different to the usual red or black TypeR's. Ideally I wanted white, but silvers as close as I could get so yeah, well, chuffed. She also has the TypeR decal pack from Honda, so has the TypeR grill badge and quarter panel decals. Then the modding started!!! Oooops! Um, think I've broke her! First thing I had to do was install my double din touch screen Pioneer head unit I had in the TypeS. To fir this into these civics is a major task, as you need to dismantle pretty much everything, including the full centre console from front to back, and a lot of the dashboard too. And for some reason, i couldnt get the gear lever gator to let go of the gearstick, so had to cut it But this was always going to be changed for the nice new red Suede one I have coming for it. So, after much caffufle, the head unit along with the Sat Nav unit all fitted and looking pukka! Much nicer! So whats next? Well, first of all I need to get Ruby sold! I'm buys prepping her and detailing her ready for sale. Got a new front bumper sitting waiting to go on as her original one has scuffs on it from before I bought her, and thinking about just taking her MeisterR suspension off (the Deck has been eyeing these up!) and selling her for £1300 with standard suspension back on. Oh and meant to add, Roxy is going back into Western Honda for brand new rear brakes as they were an advisory on the MOT, and also to have her alloys fully refurbished. Steve at western agreed to have all this done as part of the deal, so alls good! Should be going in soon Future plans for Roxy are: Wind deflectors Red Suede gear gator Some wee minor imperfections on the bodywork fixed (stone chips etc) Tinted windows Possible induction kit for a bit more noise! Stainless steel Powerflow exhaust when the time comes to replace the standard one. Mudflaps (possibly)
  19. Current State: Original post & how things looked when I first got the MB! (so much has changed ) Hey all, Just wanted to post some pics of my latest addition. Super stoked and excited to get started with some subtle mods etc. Picked it up a couple weeks ago, only had 1 owner from new, 51,000 genuine hpi, dealer and M.O.T backed miles!!! with a full, and I mean every single stamp for its age service history from a main Honda dealer! Couldn't believe how clean the car was underneath / arches etc. Drives like new and has had no expense spared. Couldn't have asked for a better start for a project. Hoping to start with some small things like some new mats, skunk2 gear knob, clear side repeaters...that kind of thing. then looking to upgrade the brakes, suspension and Chassis. Once all thats sorted I'll take a look at the drivetrain, As after giving it a good couple runs I was thinkin that I want just a little more out of it. don't get me wrong, Im very pleased with the performance as it is and I love the sleeper vibe it has, surprises lot of people which is why I deffo want to keep the body stock over changing for the VTI-S kit. But I figure a stage 2 clutch, flywheel, Full exhaust incl headers and cat, decent CAI, Skunk2 Inlet mani, Cams and a map along with a couple other supporting mods would go along way in making the car stand out from the crowd and keep me satisfied for a good while. Anyway will keep things posted as I get on. Love The Colour It goes in the Sunlight!

  21. Here we are...my new daily driver: Honda Accord 2.2i-CTDi Executive 2004 model Because of some major problems with my MB9 i had to buy a new car for everyday driving. I have a lot of mileage during one year, so i wanted to get a diesel. I have the car now since last tuesday...it's really comfortable and the Executive Edition is packed with some nice gimmicks. Mods on my wish list so far: 18 or 19" wheels plus lowering the car to the ground. Here are my favorite pics of the first shooting - pure original look...no mods...that's how i bought it:
  22. Right... fresh start with a new car! After having an accident in my MB3 quite recently, I have to get another car to take my mind of it. So my oleman decided to help me out on buying me another M! A week later I have found a 1998 Honda Civic Aerodeck MB9 in Pirates Black! Strangely this model doesn't have Air Conditioning? I saw it on Gumtree advertised for £385. It was cheap mainly because it had 158'000 miles on the clock (we all know this is nothing to a Honda) Even though it was 300 miles away, I was determined to buy that car! Bad points: The first thing I noticed was the rust on the rear arches, but I seen worst... Scratches all over, heavy scuffs around the bumpers, a very nasty deep dent on the rear panel, no rear door handle, a broken drivers side mirror and a broken aerial. The bonnet catch has a mind of it's own (one minute it will shut, next minute it won't!) Petrol cap flap doesn't close and the door locks are dodgy at times. Every interior air vent is broken, all door card cloths are stretched and SRS light is on. What's it like to drive? Well it has a very sticky throttle, brakes don't seem that effective and one of the rear brakes binding (common) The rear trailing arm bushes need replacing and the clutch has a very high biting point. Also the revs go up and down on idle (probably the Idle air control valve) So she had a hard life but I know I can replace every part on this car from my old Civic! Also with all these faults, I manged to knock £50 off as the seller didn't even know it had these faults. So I'm chuffed with that Good points: Eveything else works! Windows close properly and all 4 speeds on heaters work surprisingly! And it has a brand new OEM headlight! It has more bottom end grunt than my MB3 (even though the MB3 has less miles and more mods) Also the fuel economy is absolutely amazing! Filled the tank right up, done 360 miles and only used just over half a tank of fuel! Anyway enough yapping, here's a few not so great pictures. I will get more up tomorrow!!

  24. When I first signed up here I mentioned I'd have an MB6 in a few months. It has now been a few months. It's a completely standard (for now!) Sicilian Red VTi with 90k on the clock.
