  1. Fair dos. But chips off eBay are bulls**t. Some noob who's downloaded chrome and making a quick quid. That's all. I wasn't having a go. Just friendly advice. Would hate to see a nice car blow that's all.
  2. I've got thermal.. no idea whether makes a huge difference. Just decided to fit them whilst everything was off. You will probably have to try and use the cable bracket of your standard tb... because you won't have the bolt holes on the inlet manifold to hold the type r cable.
  3. Sounds dodge man. Not to sound a d**k. But you've got a real nice car there. It's gonna get f**ked up at this rate. 10k rpm on bulls**t chips Need to look after it it's an old car with a highly strung engine. Treat it to decent stuff.
  4. Good stuff dude. Could ya smooth that back end and keep bumper off.
  5. Ohhhhhhhh mate there was a mk1 with a b18 for sale few years back. Was gorgeous.. but steep
  6. Fitv is located on the throttle body. But altho b18c4 has coolant lines into the tb. I dont think there is an fitv. But I haven't got car here to have a look.
  7. Just check the stat yeah. Turn it round if required. See what happens. No there is no fit so don't worry. Assuming you've check for vac leaks and cooling system is bled. Your culprit is most likely iacv. Followed by tps. I've had numerous issues over the years.. And I found that the iacv created a pulsing idle. Would raise and drop every second for me. My tps also went bad which resulted in thE engine revving on its own when idle. Rev's would just pick up to say 2.5k rpm and stay there until I pulled off. Hope that helps a bit.
  8. That looks mean as he'll man. Very nice
  9. You won't be able to use the fd in a s9b. The lsd has a different bolt pattern to open diff
  10. Doesn't have to cost 3k man. Decent used stuff crops up. Or collect parts and fit yourself. I'm not plugging racetech in any way Cus they are a bit lame at times and actually getting on my nerves at present. But for 3k you will drive in stock drive out turbo. So wiring and fuel pump. I.d 725cc injectors. 3 bar map sensor. Numerous oem gaskets. They build the kit on the car so fits perfect. Drop the sump and weld drain off. Ammend exhaust. Full synthetic oil and new hotter plugs. And obviously map it. So there's a fair bit of labour and materials involved. Yes you can do it yourself cheaper but that's obvious Cus your not paying yourself labour.
  11. No that sensor is not on b18c4.
  12. Yeah sounds about right. In fact that's not bad for them. Everything seems to have a price tag attached as I'm finding out.
  13. Microscope required! Jeez! Spoiler cool. Thinking will all come together with the wheels now
  14. Also the tuebo seals aren't great and likely to fail. The manifolds apparently prone to cracking. And parts such as BOV and external waste gates are crap aswell. I've had both eBay specials and we're naff so moved them on. Altho I was considering this route myself. I changed my mind due to bad feedback from others. Also had some good feedback tho so just a risk you will need to weigh up. Especially if car needs to be reliable for work etc. Personally. I sold all my eBay parts and have saved and am now doing the job properly.
  15. Just a case of checking everything is free. Possible you may have installed the cable just a little tight there should be a little bit of slack enough to allow the throttle to return closed.
  16. It wouldn't work because the 1.6 has a smaller hub that wouldn't accept your disc and wheel. Likely splines different on hub also
  17. It really won't make any difference dude. I know of a lot of people myself included that don't use it. I made a silly mistake once and left me filler cap off and went for a drive made a big stain so off it came. Been fine.
